As One Door Closes, Another Opens: Peer Appreciation Team Closure & Community Feedback Invitation
The spirit of peer support and appreciation has always been a cornerstone of our community. For many years, the Peer Appreciation Team (PAT) has been an integral part of this fabric, bringing kindness and recognition to countless members. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our leaders and team members who poured their energy and passion into making PAT a valuable part of 7 Cups.
PAT has seen many passing of hands and fluctuating leadership over several years, which has unfortunately led to significant difficulties in maintaining the program's effectiveness.
We think of 7 Cups much like a garden that is nurtured and well-loved, tended to through all kinds of methods. For new growth to flourish in this garden, we need to re-evaluate and prepare the soil. While the PAT program is beautiful, we've recognized the need to cultivate a fresh approach, one that allows for greater vitality and participation across our beloved community.
With that said, we will be winding down and closing PAT. We're deeply grateful for all the heartfelt work put in by those who contributed to the PAT program, creating appreciations and supporting one another. Your dedication has laid a strong foundation of mutual care, and that spirit is absolutely at the heart of what's next.
We'd now like to sow the seeds for a new, exciting initiative that will take root and bloom in its place. This is a chance for us all to embrace new opportunities and co-create an even more impactful way to show appreciation within our community.

It's clear that you're seriously thinking about how to maintain the spirit of appreciation and support that's already here. Your comparison of the community to a garden 🌷🌷 that needs continuous care and soil preparation for new growth is both beautiful and inspiring. @Heather225 I'm extremely grateful to have been a smile spreader for PAT. It was always one of my best, favorite roles that I enjoyed! ♡ While it is sad the initiative has ended, I can't wait to see what takes its place!

@Heather225 I feel truly grateful to have been part of the Peer Appreciation Team. While it’s definitely sad to see this chapter close but I’m also really hopeful and excited to see what new and beautiful things will grow from here.
Also, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed their time and heart to make PAT such a special part of our community for all these years! Your dedication has touched so many, including me and I’ll always carry that with me.

it’s sad to hear of such closure.
a reinvented recognition space intentionally building to better than what once was is hopeful and welcomed.
Making it easier to nominate and more instantaneous (not requiring perfect spelling and recollection of usernames). A direct link somehow, universal to apply wherever setting. My suggestion to the redevelopment.
