Due South
In five hours, Im boarding a plane.
a new city, new challenges, new people and lots of temptations.
A new chapter, though I dont see chapters as things that ends for good anymore, And I dont believe we fully let go of who we were. We carry it with us.
Its true Im not who I was six years ago, but that person is still a part of me, living inside everything I am now.
I am all of it combined.
Strangely, Im not excited, not afraid, not sad, not even particularly happy.
Just calm.
But above all, Im grateful.
for every moment of sobriety, for every book that allowed me to learn about ideas and lives beyond my own.
I only hope I can find the strength to make something worth remembering out of this chapter. And I promise i will do my best to stay true to my path of sobriety.
So, until I return here ...
Be yourself. Be blessed. And breathe life in gratitude while you still have it.

looks like you have already landed. How does it feel? Please give it time to settle and adjust. You have walked so far but got more to do to a destination that hopefully will be memorable. A new chapter but not too new. A beginning but not to an end. You sound strong and satisfied and thats what matters now. All the best oldsoul not old for so long :)
