If I could have a fictional character as a bestie, I would choose Sir Didymus from the film 'Labyrinth'.
The reason I would like him as my bestie is that he is fearlessly loyal, honourable, courageous, accepting of others, dutiful, and chivalrous. I think he and I would see eye to eye and share a common world view.

Totally! Him as the Goblin King persuaded me to learn to contact juggle. Alas, I am yet to be able to move crystal spheres with the same precision as the chap who does it in the movie (and made Bowie look even more awesome than his usual enigmatic self).

It did take me a while yes, but that might be less an accurate representation of the difficulty and more due to me being a clumsy fool.
