Underrated Blessings. 🌻
Hello everyone coming across, I hope the month of September treats us all well. 💛
I came across this post somewhere, and it hit me super hard lol, "Leaving your home and coming back safely is such an underrated blessing that most of us take for granted.", hits hard because it's so so true. 💛
We never know for sure what happens next in life, even the next minute is so uncertain at times.
Practicing gratitude for the seemingly "oh but it has always been there" sort of things, can have a positive impact on us, imagine being grateful for something as vital (yet basic) as food~ a matter of perspective here, some of us take it for granted, something that is just there or is just 'supposed' to be there, but then it helps to be mindful of the fact that, everyone isn't blessed in the same way, different people have different kinds of circumstances, and experiences in life, even with something rather "mundane", I feel.
Time to Reflect:
💛 What are your thoughts about the quote I shared, or "underrated blessings" in general?
💛 Wondering if there are any other blessings too, that we don't give enough credit to? Or something you feel grateful for currently?
Please feel welcome to share anything, you like, time for a gratitude moment for us.
Do Y'all know the best thing about gratitude? It doesn't have to be anything grand, something as simple as even reading this post at this time gives one at least 4 things to be grateful about, a device, technology, internet, this app/ website, being able to see/ hear (based on individual accessibility), knowing the English language, being able to think/ comprehend/ process/ feel and so on (lol this is definitely more than 4 things, and so do you see? Another plus of practicing gratitude? It rarely stops at anything, we can go on and on from one thing to another, so long there's an openness and willingness to pause and reflect, at one's own pace, of course, doesn't have to feel forced or pressured into). 💛
❤
Looking forward to hearing from everyone. Feel free to tag fellow 7 cups users as well. The more the merrier always haha. (Okay well unless there's the last slice of pizza left, then probably not a nice idea to have many people surrounding you😛)

sometimes we take our by birth privileges like having a hot food everyday timely on your table and having ac in your room or in general having a roof under your head for granted but when we look around and see some people don't have them I realize how sometimes we forget we are actually so blessed but we forget and getting the privilege to receive education as long as you want and having your parents by your side is such a HUGE HUGE blessing too I think for me these are some underrated blessings we should always be more grateful. That's why Alhamdulillah for everything always : )
@beautifulalamort
Alhamdullilah indeed. ✨
Love how you've captured the most "simple" things in life, Ala. I agree completely, it is when we take a pause and look around and see that some others may not have what we do (that we might already be complaining not enough for), is when that "little" becomes enough, and usually a lot than one could even imagine. Being around loved ones is truly one of the most underrated blessings, wish it had more credit hehe. Then I feel the phrase "we value something more when it is lost" is so true, life has a way of *getting to us* lol, good to keep acknowledging the little things and being grateful for it. ❤ Thankyou for sharing!
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
This reminds me of this quote I heard in a retreat “It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
💛 What are your thoughts about the quote I shared, or "underrated blessings" in general?
Yes, we often take for granted smol things that we are able to do or things we have. We have food to eat, we have a place to live, we have things that we are so used to that we do not feel they are things to be grateful for.
💛 Wondering if there are any other blessings too, that we don't give enough credit to? Or something you feel grateful for currently?
There are many things I think, so for example, we have clothes to wear, food to eat, clean water at home, we can wake up today and every day and we see the sun shining 🥰
One of the blessings I feel vv grateful currently and everyday is I feel more grateful cuz I have Sunshine 🌞❤
(If my reply for second question seems a bit vague it is cuz *me is thinking whether saying it more clearly is okie?* 🤓❤)
@VictoriaLove7
Awwww you're always so full of thoughtful insight and lovely words, Vicc.💛
I love the quote you shared, indeed, gratitude us what makes us and our heart feel joyful.💛
Thankyouu for reiterating on the smol things, and how valuable and effortlessly important they are in our life. The smol things aren't as "small" for a heart that knows and practices gratitude. Every bit counts and always. So much to be grateful for here, I love the things you mentioned and am so grateful for them also.💛
Awww haha, it's not vague, and you're allowed to share what you think/ feel, as much or as little you like. Always love hearing what you have to say. That truly did warm my heart though, for I too, am super grateful for your beautiful presence in my life. Thankyou for being exactly *you*. Big loveeee!💛
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
That is true, Sunshine, for a heart full of gratitude like yours, the smol things are not too smol to be grateful for. I think you are the one who is full of inspiring thoughts/threads. That is why I enjoy reading your threads. ❤
Thank you, Sunshine! 🌞 So, I will say this more clearly now, that I am truly grateful for your presence in my life. (I know I have said this numerous times 🥺❤ but I count you numerous times too when I count my blessings).
I agree , I myself have witnessed people losing their homes in just few seconds due to Natural disasters and wars . And I am grateful that I still have my home. A warm safe place that i can return into.
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Thank youu for this topic, Sunshine! 🌞❤⊂(ᵔ◡ᵔ⊂)❤
💛 What are your thoughts about the quote I shared, or "underrated blessings" in general?
Me think it is important to be aware if the blessings we have, that we often see as smoll blessings, but they are not smoll ୧⍢⃝୨❤
💛 Wondering if there are any other blessings too, that we don't give enough credit to? Or something you feel grateful for currently?

Thank you for this sun - gratitude doesnt need to be grand it can be simple.
@GoldenRuleJG
Hiya Golden, I always appreciate your sweet responses. Thank youu for sharing. I'm glad you found this to be a peaceful yet important reminder to not take people and things for granted.✨
You mentioned "blessings in disguise" too and I feel as you do, these are so often missed and like not-noticed enough to be as big as an actual blessing. Definitely super underrated and woah, you just made me think of several instances that were blessings in disguise for me.❤
