A Star For Someone I Miss ✨
Hiya everyone coming across, this post is a part of the “Cosmos Of Positivity” master-post and I welcome you to join us. 💛
Even though this master-post is called “The Cosmos of Positivity” it’s so important to remember that not every human experience feels light, sunny, or joyful. Sometimes, we carry love in the form of grief. And that love is just as valid. Just as beautiful. Just as real. 🌌
This thread is for anyone who’s missing someone. Whether it’s been years or just days… whether it’s a person, a pet, a friend, a family member, or someone who touched your heart~ you are welcome to post here.
You can:
🌟 Write a short note or memory to someone you’ve lost
🌙 Name a star for them
💌 Share how grief feels to you today
🫶 If words feel too heavy, Simply post a “🌠” to say you’re remembering someone, silently
The universe welcomes your pain, your tears, and your longing. There’s no right way to grieve. You don’t have to be “positive” here. You just have to be real. And loved. 💛

🕯️ “Grief is just love with nowhere to go.” 🕯️
Let this be the place it goes~ into the stars, into this space, into our hearts. Here with you. 💛

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou it's my sons 14th birthday on the 30th 💖 for his present I've actually got a star named after him 😁 it's called Joshua's star 💖 I wrote him two poems this year (I've posted both of them in the poetry forums) and in his birthday I will attach them to a balloon and let them float up to heaven🙂💖
@Tinywhisper11 That's beautiful 💖
@Tinywhisper11
That is such a profoundly beautiful and thoughtful gift for Joshua's 14th birthday. Awww Lolabeanieeeeee, naming a star after him Joshua's Star is a truly wonderful way to honor his memory. 🥹💖 It creates a lasting, celestial tribute that you can look up to and feel connected to him.
And the idea of attaching your two poems to balloons and releasing them to float up to heaven is incredibly heartfelt. It's a deeply personal and touching gesture, sending your words and love directly to him. 🥹💖
I love it so much, thank you for sharing with us here! Sending tons of love to you and giant hugglesssssss! 🫂💖

my star is for my beautiful, talented and hilarious sister. I truly miss seeing her. Having her do my hair. The incredible meals she made. I miss her laugh and the way she made me laugh. I miss how supportive she was of me and how we could go to each other for everything. I miss my best friend. After almost 6 years, I still can’t believe she’s gone.
This post is bringing tears….

Awww that’s so touching! 🥹 *offers hugs* 🫂💛
It's completely understandable that even after almost six years, it still feels unbelievable that she's gone. Grief doesn't follow a timeline, and the absence of someone who was your best friend, who brought so much joy and connection into your life, is something you carry with you. It's okay for these memories to bring tears; it just shows how much she meant, and still means, to you. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful tribute to her. It's truly moving to hear about the wonderful person she was and the profound impact she had on your life. 💛
I understand sharing about our love ones can feel incredibly painful at times but it’s also brave how you honor their memories and I’m so so proud of you for sharing about your sister with us! 💛
All the love and more hugs your way! 💛
Indeed.
She made my childhood memorable and as an adult. I’m glad to be able to have a relationship with her daughters. The closet way i get to be to her . 💜
@peachThinker662 That’s really so sweet to hear. Bless her daughters as well. Losing a parent is beyond devastating, I’m keeping them in my thoughts. 💜
You’re a great relative I’m sure hehe! Are they young? What activities do you enjoy spending with them most? If you’d like to share, of course. 🥰
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
My sister was 34 when she passed. Honored to have put together her services. I know in my heart she wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
I have her ashes in my living room in an urn. I can’t part with her. Maybe someday I will but for now, I still can be a protective big sister.
Her children are now in their teens. Flourishing and so beautiful. I love that I’m their auntie.
@peachThinker662 You’ll always be her protective big sister for sure. And it’s super okay to take as much time you need~ there really is no timeline to grief and there definitely is no correct way to grieve~ we’re all allowed our own ways to honour and love on people in our life and beyond.
Thank you so very much. ð¥°ð¥°ð¥°

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou I most certainly feel like doing many of these...but I'll start with one for now.
🌟 To my close friend: You passed away this afternoon, 1:37 PM. A phone call woke me up this morning around 6am, and someone informed me you were actively passing. I cried my heart out for 2 hours straight, remembering just how I was never prepared to hear any sort of news. I was hoping you'd get better, so we could draw together again, or hear your theories for some video games. I dreamed you were of perfect health, and I watched you stream a game you always liked, the characters you've made that you've held close, and how one person didn't like us very much. Still, we cracked jokes and time went on.
I remember telling you about the news of our mutual friend who passed away. You were still in shock from your cancer getting worse, so I had to stay with you for awhile, making sure you had company to help you through the night. Even if I was sleep deprived, you mattered more than anything at that moment. When you asked me if we'd ever be able to see each other, I remember telling you I wasn't so sure, I'd have to find my way there, but that was the day you asked me to make a promise, and so I did.
I was worried sick. I knew you were in hospice getting the support you needed, but I couldn't be there for you. I knew you missed drawing together, or some of the jokes we made, and sometimes when we'd watch and support charity events. You were there when I had my migraines attacks, when I had no one else at the time. I remember whimpering, when you calmly sang me back to sleep. You witnessed me go through so many hardships, and even that one morning when I woke up after a migraine attack the previous night, you'd still be right there. That was before we found out you had the advanced pancreatic cancer. I felt if you stayed up to make sure I'd survive, I'd do the same for you.
You were getting weaker, and time wasn't going to stop. I could only say so much to you as much of the time I was given to tell you goodbye. I was hoping that wouldn't be my last one to you, ever. I was told, you said... "She won. I'm going back home." Our ex-friend wasn't ever going to get away with hurting you during the time you were in hospice, not ever. Your last wish was... don't let her steal what I had, I'm letting you have it instead. So that's exactly what I'm going to do, even repurpose them as you asked me to.
The voice message was sent later this afternoon, and that was it... I'd never hear from you again, it's over. I refused to believe how quick it came by, but now I have to face the next day, night, and years without you, just like many others I've lost. Another memory distant. (I'm crying even as I type this.)
I'm sorry if this is getting long, it was really hard to process, and I barely slept well last night either.
This is all I'll say for now: "Are you going to make more grilled cheese sandwiches with our mutual friend now that you two are reunited again? Make puns that annoyed him? He'll be glad to see you again." Was my exact thoughts hours before. ...💔
@lovingCat6978

@lovingCat6978 😥😥 I'm so sorry sweetie 😥 may your friend rest in peace 💖 hugs you tightly 💖

@lovingCat6978
I wish I had seen the tag earlier so I could’ve hugged you faster! 🥺 *offers safe hugs*
It seems like this thread really found you at a needed time? I’m so glad it did and I’m so proud of you for trying to share with us, it’s definitely not easy processing a loss, especially when it was too recent and you were only starting to make sense of things for yourself.
Losing a close friend, one that you had such a beautiful bond with~ as collected from some of the wholesome things you mentioned here about your friend and the friendship you’ve shared over time, being a rock for each other through thick and thins; is bound to hurt and you are allowed to feel as you do, as heartbroken or hurt or “I don’t even know where to start processing things”, however you feel~ it’s vv valid, you’ve lost a friend, a good person in your life and it’s so natural for you to mourn this profound loss. Take all the time you need okieee. 💛
Im also glad that you’re reaching out on 7 cups and hope that you feel embraced with support and compassion here as you grieve. You deserve a safe space to share your feelings and heyyy, long is okay, long is welcome~ it just means you were able to really let it out more and I’m grateful this space made you feel welcomed to do it, please feel free to share more or like you said you want to do all the prompts listed above and you certainly can, whenever you feel up for it. 💛
Sending you lots of strength and love, Cat. ✨
Dear family member,
I miss you so much. ✨ I can't bring you back alive. But I do believe you are at the right place. I really enjoyed those days with you.
Thank you for being an important part of my life.
Thank you.
🌠
It feels difficult to accept a loss.
We are not alone.
@Admirablerainbow2825
Offers you a hug. 🥹💛
It takes a lot of courage to acknowledge how difficult it feels to accept such a significant change after losing a love one, while also being so thoughtful in mentioning they are in the right place. Holding onto those cherished memories can be a way to keep their presence alive, even when they are no longer physically here. And I’m so so proud of you for sharing with us. You’re definitely not alone here. 💛 Sending tons of healing energy your way.
@Admirablerainbow2825

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
