What is a habit that you wish you started when you were younger that you think has made you happier and healthier?

Talking through my thoughts with myself. Sometimes it feels a bit weird to do, but journaling doesn’t always work for me and speaking my thoughts out loud was something I did as a child which really helped me emotionally regulate. I think there’s a lot of power in hearing the words of the thoughts you are thinking

Use internet and phone in moderation, it's better than before, but still a problem.

Reading books.

One habit that I definitely have picked up on a lot more than I thought I would would be sorting laundry once a year i'll go through my closet and I'll look at stuff that needs to be put away for summer winter spring, see what I don't wear anymore. And I'll take it to donate it. I used to do this a lot with my mom when I was a kid and I never understood the point of it until recently and I realized how calming it is to just go through all of those clothes, it kind of brought me to a realization that i don't hate cleaning and staying organized as much as I thought I would having a cleaner organized and clear space gave me so much opportunity and room to work with. I don't feel as congested or as overwhelmed.

@KnockOutClockA few come to mind:

• Regular exercise. I wish I had learned earlier that movement isn't just about physical health. It helps my mood, my energy, and how I handle stress.

• Reading consistently. Books have challenged the way I think, expanded my perspective, and given me opportunities to keep learning throughout life.

• Being intentional about gratitude. Taking a few moments to notice the good things in life doesn't change my circumstances, but it definitely changes my perspective.

I don't think any one habit transformed my life overnight, but the small, consistent ones have added up over time.

Sport, reading, writing, drawing...a lot

To be more outdoors than being locked in a four wall. I could have less social anxiety today and could express myself in better ways.
