**This past week went well, and was yet another "fast" week..... I got back into town on Sunday from Florida from my husbands family reunion that day.... but not until late afternoon...((The trip went well, we stayed at one of our favorite places so I had a great time there, Got some Swim-time in before the reunion started that afternoon.... And I actually kept on track with food while there)).... I packed all kinds of fruits and veggies and water in a cooler, so the ride there and ride home I was on track, and while at the reunion I only had "ONE" plate and did not go back for more.....and while at our resort, I had Salad for dinner when we got there, and a light breakfast before the reunion..It was a decent trip back to start the week, and it was nice not getting home too late that I could still manage to "salvage" some of the day, and get some activity and steps in to start my week out.....

**I was able to keep up with food and activity throughout the week,, even though I took "Monday" morning off from teaching my Gold Class, and I'm glad I did. I was more tired than I thought from the weekend and the travel and needed the rest. But I did teach my Monday afternoon class, and I could tell the difference in how much more energy I had and felt that day to teach a "regular" class.~......... Kept up with other activities this week as well, (walks with my mom, walking my dog at the lake, and then pool time).

**I feel like this summer is moving so fast and wish it would slow down a bit....The weather has still been pretty hot and humid (which I'm not complaining as I rather have Summer than winter)!....What I really like is that I get an AWESOME "Sweat" on when walking and working out as well as water intake. Which I don't do as much of in the Fall/Winter months.~......There are also still some minor projects that I want to get done and focus on before the summer ends as well.

**Today is my FREE day..I don't have much of anything planned, I did my errands Friday so that I could actually have the weekend to not do anything if I didn't feel up to it.~ I still get my steps and activity in though since its also my "Treat" day, so will do some type of activity just not sure which one (either Zumba or POUND).... yes

ENJOY THE WEEKEND~ yes

My mood is going overall well, but still struggle doing anything productive. I get triggered so easily. And for triggered I mean terror out of nowhere, going hysteric, depressive thoughts and overwhelming feelings that come suddenly and can last hours. Then, as they came, they go away. Some things are making me doubt it could be OSDD, that could be briefly described as mild dissociative identity disorder. I don't have amnesia, but it happened before that I recognized a very distinct part of me that could talk to me and think separately from me. Comingt to terms with that part was the only thing that risulted in big, permanent progress in my healing. And now those crisis. There are different kinds. I've noticed that when I go hysteric and depressed I really feel younger, it seems unbelievable that I'm older than 15 (I'm 24), but without the bias of actually knowing my age, I would say I'm 10-11. During the crisis where I get extremely anxious, edgy and irritable I tend to project my feelings of inadequacy and self blame onto others, blaming everyone but myself and getting angry for anything, which is something I NEVER do. Then there's another type of crisis, where I'm just so terrified I can't process anything, and I just go to sleep, because it's the only safe way I have found to make it through it safely. This kind of crisis is the only one that can have effects for days, on and off, even after it's passed. I'm trying to understand what's going on to better address this through therapy and everyday behavior. Maybe it could help managing those crisis. I though they were emotional flashbacks, but grounding doesn't work at the slightest, so yeah, I'm trying to figure this out

Oh! I forgot: downloaded a fitness app, I'm falling in love with it. It's been just 2 days, next week I'll let you know if I managed to stick to the workout plan

Oh. I keep remembering stuff that I would like to say. A goal I feel I'd really like to achieve is getting a mermaid tail for swimming. Since there aren't good cheap ones outside America, I hope I'll be able to craft one myself. I know it sounds a little crazy, with no experience in either making or swimming in tails, but screw it all, I want it lol. For once that I managed finding motivation for something. Don't worry for my safety though, knowing myself it's highly likely that I'll never manage to finish it

@GhostlyLilian

Its great that you are still exploring your feels and emotions and what is going on around you... You seem to have a great self awareness, and hopefully with the help of your therapist, you can get to the bottom of what all of these feelings mean or where they are coming from. And perhaps get a an actual "diagnoses"! That would be a great start in being able to be treated and hopefully move forward.

I think its AWESOME that you downloaded a fitness app!... Thats great for you... I'm excited to hear how that works out for you and if you're enjoying it!....Please keep us informed!...

I LOVE the fact that you are thinking of setting and creating goals for yourself!...Those little mermaid tails really are cute aren't they?!...Its AMAZING for you that you have found motivation in something and something to look forward to!.... What color would you like to make?!... Please touch base and let us know how that goes for you. Sounds like a lot of fun. I've often wondered what it would be like to swim in those things!..lol

Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how you've been doing!

Another busy week, but keeping projects light so not to stress out. Time is sure going fast. Still goal setting to stay on track. Have done pretty good staying on track with diet and exercise. Knee was bothering me a little. Being careful not to over exercise to do any injury. Weather has been good for swimming. This weekend will be very hot, but the majority of summer has been warm and comfortable. Just moving forward and enjoying the summer. Like to stay close to home during the summer months. I think Florida would be a little to warm this time of year for me. Enjoy your weekend.smiley

@sail46

Hey there Sail!..

So great to hear that you are still staying on track with everything and keeping up with your goals and projects!....

Sorry to hear about your knee!... Is it an old injury or a new one?... I have been having the same issue with mine for several months... Have an appt to get it looked at a little further. Its challenging when issues like that arise... its like its the body's way of telling you to slow down a little... And we must listen, even though once again, its challenging.... I have found swimming to be the best form of exercise for me with the knee issue...... Whether doing laps, or just treading the water or adding some Aqua Aerobic moves.... it helps to loosen it up a good bit....

Yes Florida can be warmer this time of year for sure!.. But thankfully, there are MANY bodies of water there, as well as "Pools"! lol...... Good luck with everything... and thanks so much for checking in! Hope that you are enjoying your week~

It's going well! I'm eating much healthier lately & I feel better!

I'd like to keep up my 7cups streak & continue my healthy eatin!

It's easier when I've got more vitamin D, & the general societal trend is to be healthier! My challenge is that everyone's schedules seem too busy!

I have been making sure to get PLENTY of rest and it really does wonders for me to get a square 8 or 7. I've noticed that if I take an hour to wind down before bed, I only need 7 hours of sleep, but if I just fall asleep straight away, then I need 8! I'm gonna try and give myself a wind-down period more. My schedule is kinda hectic, so we'll see if I can keep up with the regimen!

I'd like to go to Italy, or New Caledonia!

I've gotten my routine back, and it's helped so much in keeping me motivated and healthy. I till haven't worked out, but I'm waiting for my boyfriend to come back from his trip, since we made plans to exercise together!

I hope to keep my discipline up with my healthy habits and also spend some time (hopefully outside) with my brother!

@Polite Ocean: I've been looking at new places to live. I can't live by myself because it's too dangerous. I've been looking at board and care facilities and independent living facilities. This one independent living facility is going to have a staff member there full time, so that is very appealing to me. They say I'm too healthy to be in the hospital anymore but I'm far from being cured of my disabilities. I'm trying to clear something up with my local government agency regarding my disabilities benefits but I haven't been able to get through to them on the phone. I can't move out of the hospital until I get this cleared up. My insurance is not going to pay for me to stay here for an indefinite vacation either.

My girlfriend broke up with me 5 weeks ago. For 4 weeks I was praying everyday that we could have a civil discussion and not tear each other apart .Well, three days ago, I finally got my opportunity to offer an olive branch and she stomped on it. She immediately went to the nuclear option. I'm strong enough to handle it, but I'm saying to myself "Wow - she's really vindictive". I mean, usually when a man and woman get involved in a romantic argument, there is a gradual escalation but no, not with this one. Regardless of whatever happens in a romance, I always try to learn something.

I continue to be worried about my efforts to be a poetry discussion leader. I figure it's going to take me about 2 years to get up to speed. There are 28 year olds who've been studying poetry for 10 years who know so much more about it than I do. I worry about not being able to find a venue or a group of people to lead.

If I could visit one place it would be Vancouver or Toronto. I've never been to a foreign country, so I might as well start with places that are close to home. I want to travel to Europe, Asia, and Russia someday but that's many years from now. Americans are unpopular in certain parts of the world, but Canadians still like us. Well, at least most of the time.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo... sorry to hear about your ongoing issue with the living arrangements and everything surrounding that... I do hope that everything starts to come together for you and that you can finally live the way that you want and deserve to.....

I'm sure its just a challenging at this time to have to deal with a "romantic break up" as well.. I'm sure it doesn't make things easier for you.. I do hope that you are feeling better and glad that you are staying "positive" in the idea that you always try to learn something from your relationships... They surely teach us some things don't they?!....

Its nice that you are still putting your thoughts, time and heart into your poetry!... Just hold onto the faith that you will get to where you want to be... yes some things take more time than we want them to, but they eventually manage to come together in their own ways for sure~... You don't need it to be "grand".. all you need is a nice little group who enjoys the same common interest in the poetry that you do, and it will come together, and eventually you will find yourself doing what you love!

I love your ideas of travelling abroad~ I would love to travel more foreign countries myself some day~.. I don't see it happening anytime soon.. so I'm like you in that respect that I will keep it "simple" and start closer to home! lol...I've always wanted to visit Europe as well!.. Maybe one day we will, and we can chat more about our adventures there!

Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how you've been doing!. Always great to hear from you!

Hey there!...

Wow thats really great that your week was "both" productive and social!... Can't get any better than that!

Soda can be a challenge for many ...... have you ever tried something like "flavored Carbonated water"?... Its almost like drinking soda, but better without all the sugar and stuff~ Maybe it could help to ween you off of a soda a bit, if its a struggle for you?

AHHH....Sleep~ Isn't sleep wonderful!... I love getting "enough" sleep and feeling amazing... Sounds like you needed it too!

I see you say that you would like to go to a pool?.. Are there any local pools around you? Or a place to swim in your area like a YMCA or something like that? Even a local lake or something of the sort?

Wow...talking to someone "new"... How exciting for you!.. You will have to keep us updated on that!

Hi, I'm actually new here, but I thought I'd do a check-in. I've done well the past week and focused on more mindful eating etc. I took a break from writing because I realized that it's the only thing I can do other than writing nonsense that I'd just delete later. I haven't been running as often as I typically do, but I still walk, which is good.

Tomorrow, an activity starts for me. I'm in a marching band, and we'll be meeting tomorrow, and I'm very excited because it's been nearly a year since it ended last. I plan to practice my flute today and relax before it starts.

Thank you for making these updates. :) This has been a form of journal haha, and it's already making me feel motivated.

Hello there! Welcome to the Healthy Living Community!.. We are so glad to have you here and joining us!...We are very glad that you decided to post to the thread and tell us how you've been doing!

How awesome for you that you are doing well, and practicing "mindful eating"!.. That is certainly something I'm sure many of us should try to do more of. Its so easy to just start eating and not really pay attention to everything that it involves.

Awesome job to you on running and walking and as well as taking breaks from things when you feel you need them. Sounds like you are really putting yourself first and how you wish to feel physcially, mentally and emotionally!

Good luck on your activity and playing the flute!... You must be really talented. It takes real talent to play an instrument and the flute is certainly one of them!... I was always amazed in school to watch those who could play them.

Thank you so much for checking in here with us and letting us know how you are doing and how things are going for you!.. Please continue to check back and let us know how you are doing!

I think you should try temporary box dye to start with, and if you really like it you can get it professionally done. If not, then you can wash your hair daily until it comes out. I'm going darker brown than my hair naturally is.

@peacefullistener22

Already tried temporary dye, I left it on more than the max amount of time and still the color was barely visible. In like 3 days it was gone. Maybe I didn't put enough dye, I don't know. I'm pretty sure I'd like the color, if it doesn't come out completely flat like some bad quality barbie dolls hair. Problem is I struggle with spending money for unnecessary things.

Good luck with your dye! 🍀

@GhostlyLilian

With temporary dye sometimes it's easier to re-dye it after a week and the colour comes out stronger. I always use the whole bottle of dye and go over it several times.

My dye went well! I want my hair even darker though...

Hey there!..

How great that you are keeping track through a food diary and app that are working for you.... What app are you currently using?!

Great job to you on getting back to drinking water!

Sorry to hear that you are struggling with anger issues... I know that can be challenging when we are experiencing difficult feelings that tend to hinder us..... ... Let me recommend a workout (if you've never heard of it or tried it yet!).... But... if you are able to, you might want to check out a POUND FITNESS class!... That would be the perfect workout to release any anger or frustrations that you might have!.... Either "google" it, or go to "Youtube" and check it out if you've never experienced it!... You can also go to POUNDFIT.COM to find a class near you!.....

Good luck to you on moving forward and meeting all the goals that you are trying to set for yourself! Keep up the great work and thank you so much for checking in!
