🌷The past week was well.....Easter Sunday started off my family's week. We had a great day, with great weather. My mom served an Amazing holiday meal as always. It was nice to come together with my little family and enjoy each others company. Its sad when you live so close by, but don't often take (or make) the extra time to just get together and enjoy each others company like you would on a "holiday". Hopefully we can continue to come together more often outside of holidays.

🌞I was able to get back on track with things come Monday morning, and get back into activity and workouts. I did really Awesome with my "Sleep Goals" this past week and hit the mark "almost" nightly. I will continue to make Sleep/Rest more of a priority... Also I will continue to work on Water & hydration goals. (As I didn't quite make the mark there this week).... Thats another important factor in how we may feel physically.... The weather was beautiful here most of the past week, And it was another great week to get outdoors for more Walk-time, get in the Sunshine, and get a good mood-booster! I was finally able to get to the local Nearby Lake this week (for the first time this year) and enjoy the Sunshine, walking the dog, and just sit, relax, and watch the water for a bit. Good physical and mental activity there~

🌺 This weekend ahead will be mixed weather,... Saturday is supposed to be Sunny and lovely, and hopefully I can squeeze in some personal activity, get in a quick workout, and then take a walk at the Lake again with the Furbaby. Along with a small errand or two......Sunday it's supposed to rain, so will work on getting some things done around the house that I've not only been putting off, but also to prepare for the week ahead~

@PoliteOcean

Hi, Ocean,

How has your week been?...How has this Spring weather been where you are?! Let's see...my week has been. It is just marking time passing on this earth. I took my Fiat in for service at the Fiat dealership and paid $2K. Before I even pulled out of the space where the technician parked it, I checked the lights in front. I had 2 lights out and they have been a repeat problem. Carmax has been unable to fix the problem. I think it is a short, so I had the Fiat dealership check for that. They were also supposed to replace the bulbs. Lo and behold, they did not replace the bulbs. I just paid $2K and they did not replace the bulbs. That did not fill me with confidence about the other work they did on the brakes and the front right rim. So I told them what I thought, and they took the car back into the service area to replace the bulbs. Don't ever buy a Fiat. They have one major problem after another.

🌞 What is something you did this week to either Focus on self-care, maintain boundaries, or simply do small act of kindness?.....How did this make your week feel for you? I took 2 nights off this week. I have been packing every evening, but needed a break.

🌺 What is a "Healthy Habit or Hobby" that you have for yourself that can always make you feel good and turn around a negative experience or situation? I take psychiatric medication. I take Buspar 3 times a day. It does help to calm me down.

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: If You could make ONE Rule that Everyone had to follow in life, WHAT would that Rule be?! Give money to everyone who asks for alms. It is a horrible experience to beg for money. I've had to do it to survive.

🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?! Read my answer to the first question.

🌺 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~

@purpleTree4652

Hey there Tree~ Sounds like you had quite a time with your Vehicle..... Thats crazy that you had to spend that kind of money and not even have everything taken care of on it that was needed. Thats good that you went back and pointed out their mistake and for them to fix it. (I just had an issue as well that I don't think was done and completed on my own vehicle) But I think that had everything to do with the technician who handled it. So my Dealer will be getting another phone call as well. I have been with Toyota for about 20 years. And have pretty much been satisfied with no major issues. I suppose everything is a learning curve. At least now you know for future purposes.

Thats nice that you were able to take some time off.. We all need a break from "life happenings" every now and then to refresh and recharge. And its good that you are continuing to take your prescribed medication and that its also working for you and helping to keep your calm.

Thank you for checking in this week and sharing with us. Please continue to let us know how things are going .

The only remotely healthy thing I was able to do this week was take advantage of the warm weather by going for a couple of walks.

Hey there Uber~

I love it! Kuddos to you on being able to get out in the nice weather, and fresh air. And getting some Walk time in for yourself. That is always something great to do for your health and wellbeing. Fortunately the good weather is now back upon us, so perhaps it will continue to be a habit for you. We are proud of you , keep up the great work. And thanks for checking in to share your week with us.

@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. Sunday I watched church on TV. I had to pay a $7 delivery fee for my groceries. I tried to be faithful in my devotional life when Alan wasn’t interfering. Wednesday I went to the dermatologist. The rosacea on my skin is going down. He said the OTC organic hair growth serum I was using was bogus. I also returned my theology book at the Amazon return desk at Kohl’s because I wasn’t happy with it. I also used up the last of my sprouts. I think it was on Thursday that my new art history book arrived. I spent $70 on art history books for the month of April. I gave Tunde Thursday and Friday off because Leslie said we were moving. I contacted 3 personal injury attorneys to see if I could sue Leslie for emotional distress after I move out. Leslie is not abusing me but she is scatterbrained, disorganized, and irresponsible. Hopefully they will get back to me within a short time frame. Unfortunately, I didn’t go for any walks this week and didn’t study my poetical interpretation. Saturday I had to skip my devotional because Alan was making weird noises in my bedroom while he was sleeping. Fortunately, my new theology book arrived. One thing I like about Alan is he is good at unplugging the toilet, but he has the stupidest taste in TV programs. I started to watch the series “Fringe” on my laptop on Amazon Prime. I asked Alan to leave the potato skin on when he makes potatoes for dinner, and he was agreeable. For this upcoming week, Tunde says he is going to deliver my groceries to my house so I don’t have to pay the delivery fee.

@Regmo

Hey Regmo~ Thats too bad you had to pay the delivery fee, as I thought Tunde was going to help you out with that so that you wouldn't have to pay for it?..... I myself went to order something from the local Walmart and was going to go "pick it up" when it was ready, and have found that they are Now starting to "charge" a fee even if you go to pick it up!!.. I was really irate about that since if that's the case I can just have it delivered to my home for the same price! Just doesn't make any sense to me... Some of these stores and places really try to rob you sometimes..... I think its cool that Kohls is allowing us to return Amazon items at their stores. Its great that they have started this option..... So I take it that after you gave Tunde the time off, that You all are still in the same place and didn't move yet?!.... I don't blame you for wanting to contact an attorney! To be honest, I don't know if I would wait until I moved out if it were me. I hope that if you decide to go that route that you are keeping some type of journal or list of the things that are going on in the house as evidence. Because she certainly does seem all over the place based on the things you have stated! And yes, does sound rather irresponsible. I'm beginning to wonder if she should even be taking in boarders?! ....Thats too bad that you weren't able to make it out for any of your walks during the past week. But that happens sometimes. I know I get a little bummed-out too if I can't make it out for a walk during the week sometimes. Hopefully you'll be able to get out and about in the week ahead. So is Alan now helping with the "cooking" there in the house? Just curious since you said he "makes the potatoes for dinner". How did Tunde seem after giving him the time off for the move that didn't happen? Did he have anything to say about it?... Thats good that he's still agreeable to picking up your groceries for you. Thanks for checking in this week and continuing to keep us up to date on how things are moving along. And for sharing with us.

@PoliteOcean I think Alan either gets a reduction in rent or gets paid for helping Leslie. He sometimes delivers meals to Dennis and Stuart in their bedrooms. He also fixes simple dinners like heating up a can of soup or stew. He takes the garbage out a lot. If I sue Leslie now she's going to give me an eviction notice. My strategy in contacting a lawyer is to determine how much documentation I need. Unfortunately, I don't have anything solid for the past 3 1/2 years other than my word. If I'm going to be staying here for a while, I would have to start taking more detailed documentation.

@Regmo

Yes I agree that some detailed documentation on the things going on there will certainly be helpful and more concreate. Also any photos you could take? Or at least photos of what you can without disturbing any of the other tenants privacy of course. But the more detail the better. And yes, I would certainly wait until you have another place lined up to go to. Although, I would then have to question if anything would even be able to be done if you are no longer living there (and at this time, I don't think you've mentioned her doing anything "illegal")?

How has your week been?...How has this Spring weather been where you are?!

Alight a little stressful at times. A little hot during the day 😂

🌞 What is something you did this week to either Focus on self-care, maintain boundaries, or simply do small act of kindness?.....How did this make your week feel for you?
Focusing on self-care. Made this week bearable.

🌺 What is a "Healthy Habit or Hobby" that you have for yourself that can always make you feel good and turn around a negative experience or situation?
Learning to self-praise myself than seek outside validation through the mirror with some hugging and/or fist bumping my reflection

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: If You could make ONE Rule that Everyone had to follow in life, WHAT would that Rule be?!
Let yourself go and be silly😂

🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Deciding on going to college or going volunteering. It felt right for me at the moment. College seemed like a huge step and feel this was the best course of action as a stepping stone.

🌺 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~

I Kinda hard when I when changing my behavior, I don't know if I'm lying or telling the truth at times.

@RelicCube

Hey there Cube~

We are sorry to hear for you that your week was stressful (and hot). Although personally, I would take the heat any day over cold weather! Lol

Thats really great that you were able to focus on some selfcare to help push through your week. Was there anything specific that you did that was able to help you the most?

I think that is Awesome that you practice "self praise" and that you work on not relying on validation from others! That is pretty amazing! As we know, we all like to be validated by others (weather its feelings, or appearance, or whatever it is for one personally, Kind of like on Social Media where someone feels the need to let everyone know all their business, that is actually because they need to feel validated in "everything" that goes on in their life). And I truly admire those that can go around that! Great job and keep up the great work!

Haha... Thats an interesting 'Rule' that you'd impose on everyone. (Letting go and being silly).... Life would certainly be more fun for everyone if they did right?!

Its great that you are deciding whats important to you and what you need to do for you to be happy. And what steps, decisions or choices will work better for you in the moment. Another great job. And it sounds like you are doing some really great personal work on yourself and your needs.

Thank you so much for sharing your week with us and checking in. Please continue to keep us updated and let us know how things are going for you!

🌷 How has your week been?...How has this Spring weather been where you are?!
This week has been up & down for me. The Spring weather is amazing here, I live in a desert climate but it beats being cold any day!

🌞 What is something you did this week to either Focus on self-care, maintain boundaries, or simply do small act of kindness?.....How did this make your week feel for you?
For self-care...I've been cooking & eating more (I used to hardly eat AT ALL)...

As for boundaries, I cut off my ex/little one's father for GOOD recently, I gave him too many chances. He was verbally & physically abusive throughout our relationship and nearly killed me...Ever since we broke up a year ago, he's been on-and-off with love-bombing, gaslighting, manipulating, and going through that cycle. I got tired of it and told him yesterday and blocked him. I was tired of him being inconsistent for his visitations with son (I worked with HIS schedule each time, he never worked with mine, nor does he care). The last straw was I put a restraining order on him, once he started calling me derogatory racial slurs and being very rude. I just felt tired...

For small acts of kindness, I cooked for a friend because she's been one of the most amazing people in my life and I love her like a sister. <3 I also offered her to stay with me if she's dealing with any issues with her ex GF.

🌺 What is a "Healthy Habit or Hobby" that you have for yourself that can always make you feel good and turn around a negative experience or situation?
I drink more water now and actually enjoy it. It's rather peculiar, yet simple pleasure for me. It's kind of a replacement of coffee when coffee is not available to me...still debating about giving it up entirely...I really should give up caffeine...As for healthy hobby, I've been coming to 7cups here more, checking the forum and support groups and try to help people out if I can, because I know how it feels to be alone and not have any help. I was on a different support group website, that was VERY rude and unsupportive, so to counterbalance that, I came back to 7cups, where the community is much nicer.

I want to start my web develop business here soon.
Furthermore, I want to get into composing my own music here again and drawing.

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: If You could make ONE Rule that Everyone had to follow in life, WHAT would that Rule be?!
I will go with my favourite quote:

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” ― Bernard M. Baruch

🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Struggles
: Dealing with ex/little one's father being rude to me, dealt with being unemployed, dealing with traffic ticket issues, lost my car and the stuff inside it (iPad & Guitar is what I cared about most...) and it's still at tow company but idk if they tossed the stuff out, dealing with close to homelessness, no food & no appetite, broke/no money, washing laundry by hand (no money to wash it), trying to figure out potty training for little one, taking a bus everywhere & walking, trying to keep the house clean while feeling depressed or/and overwhelmed, etc

Highlights: Blocked ex/little one's father and gave up on the visitations while looking into legally getting child support (ex doesn't pay right now), spending more time with little one by going to the park and him becoming my lil buddy <3, am NOW employed, am handling the traffic ticket issue, taking over older brother's lease, received food assistance & cooking more(so eating more), made a best friend who is like a sister to me while helping me through the tough times, met someone new who has green flags, talked to online friend who's on the other side of the world via phone, daycare lady put diapers in bag for little one so he doesn't pee at night heh, and little one is getting better each day with his potty training which makes me proud. Overall just...feeling a bit better.

🌺 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~
Overall, just been doing alright. Not too shabby I suppose. Excited that I'm employed. Glad that I'll be able to support my little one by myself efficiently(he's the light of my life, and I plan on spoiling him here soon <3). I'm a little bit nervous about the housing situation, I want to make sure I make enough with (new) job, if not...I guess that's OK. I'll just go to DV shelter for now, better than nothing. I refuse to move back to home state where my abusive mother is at. I might make a separate post on that...

Moreover...on a more positive note: Kind of head over heels about the guy I'm talking to too. He's intelligent, kind-hearted, supportive, non-judgmental, and takes the time out of his very LONG and busy day to talk to me everyday...even though he has 20hr shifts sometimes (he's a doctor). Even replies to my long messages with long messages back.

I felt amazed that he's even talking to me or thinks highly of me(despite telling him my situation and such). I've wondered about it, like "why does he still talk to me when I feel broken?!" but ultimately...I need to stop thinking like that lol. I'm just not used to being in a reciprocated relationship in a loooong time. Have had toxic relationships, even after son's dad/ex. Dated brother's bestfriend, who never loved me and lead me on while using my money. Had casual relationships with two others after, they liked me a lot, pushed my boundaries when I said now, and ultimately I didn't feel the same about them...So with this new guy, it feels refreshing that it's two-sided and not one... He's also just generally respectful. I love everything about this guy, he's got the personality and looks, he's got it all! And even if it doesn't work out, I've made a new friend, and I'm OK with that too. :)
