🌷 This past week went well... I feel that I've gotten completely back on track with things. I feel my mind-set is in a better place to do better......And I feel I finally found a good balance and stayed on track with my goals. I kept up with & met my goals of Meal Planning/Tracking, Activity, Water and Sleep for the week. Typically one or the other has suffered for months, but this week I hit the mark with all.
🌞 The weather here this past week was Very Summer-like! And very enjoyable. It really was a great "Mood-Lifter". After my morning workouts I found myself just enjoying simple things like Sitting out on my back Patio in the peace, calm and quiet. Surrounded by great weather with calm breezes, blue skies and morning sunshine. (And of course my pup)...... It also made for some nice afternoon walks as well.
🌺 This weekend the weather has turned slightly cooler, and more Spring-like, but still sunny and beautiful. Intentions are to get out and enjoy the sunshine a little and enjoy the day and wherever it takes us~ .
@PoliteOcean
Hi, Ocean!
How was your week? It was ok.
🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?! My body has some sort of infection. In fact, my cat does too. I don't have health insurance, so I'm not paying for a doctor. I'm just hoping my body will finally fight it off after I move.
@purpleTree4652
Hey there Tree!
Its good for you that your week went Okay for you and that you are almost done packing and finalizing things. Great job to you for staying on track with your schedule.
How lovely that its nice enough to leave your windows open.. I love that too when I can open up the doors and window and the breeze flow through the house. Everything just feels so fresh and revitalizing when you can!
We thank you for taking the time out of your busy moving schedule to stop by to say hello and to check in with us this week. Thank you for keeping us up to date. And please let us know how everything is continuing to go with the move!
@PoliteOcean
Now that the weather is warmer, I’ve been trying to get outside more - health permitting.
@UberRuminator
Hey there Uber, awesome job at getting out of the house more in the Fresh air, and warmer weather! Thats the nice thing about this time of year (when its not too hot, or too chilly) that we have an option to not be stuck inside for too long! Getting out and just enjoying some fresh air and sunshine can do so much for our overall Wellbeing! Keep up the great work and thank you for stopping by to check in this week to update us on how things are continuing to go for you!
@PoliteOcean This is a long entry because a lot happened.
Here’s how the past week went. Monday Dennis said he was going to take a cab to his job. He doesn’t have a job and he doesn’t have access to a phone. Tunde brought my groceries to my front door. Instacart says they put a temporary charge of $15 on my debit account, but will re-imburse me after a week, but I’ve never seen any reimbursement. Instacart doesn’t have a customer service department. I could possibly take it up with my bank and see if that approach works. I haven’t been for a walk or worked on my poetical interpretation for two weeks because of the move. I moved from the old house to the new house Thursday afternoon. It was Alan and William who did most of the moving. The new house is a disaster. There is no hot water in the bathroom sink, and there is no vanity so I have nowhere to put my shaving supplies. I had to buy a toiletry bag which wasn’t in my budget. Furthermore, my possessions were just put into garbage bags and not boxes. There are a few critical things that I haven’t been able to find, such as my slippers, my Samsung Galaxy Smart phone that I would use as a back up in case my Obama phone gets broken, and my probiotics. I just bought some probiotics earlier in the week but had to immediately buy another batch. It wasn’t in my budget. Here at the house, the acoustics are terrible. I think it might be better without a television because I can hear everything going on in the living room in my bedroom. There is a gap of about 1 ½ inches between the door of my bedroom and the floor. The window in the bathroom is broken and the toilet is crooked. The worst part is I live on a side street of a busy street so there is continuous traffic noise 16 hours or more a day. The front yard, side yard and back yard are a pig sty. Most of my books were just stuffed underneath my bed. I have two theology books I want to return but have no way of finding them. Friday morning Stuart left two huge fece deposits on the hallway floor and Alan cleaned them up. Saturday morning the volume on my laptop got stuck at 63%. I spent 45 minutes on my own trying to fix it, and then later in the afternoon, I spent 1 hour 15 minutes with a free computer technician and he said he had never seen a laptop act so strangely. He said I must have something really malicious in my system. Furthermore, I kept on getting messages from the ISP saying there is something wrong with the account. I sent Leslie an email bringing her attention to the matter. I think one good thing about the new house is I’m not going to have as much disruption. Leslie and Sifa aren’t going to be living here, and that noisy housekeeper Nia probably won’t be coming by either. I would hate to be Stuart or Dennis. I’ve only seen Leslie about 15 minutes over the past 10 days. I finally got a hold of the nurse at my dermatologist, and she said she won’t be able to change my prescription for my hair growth medication for two months. That’s a big disappointment.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo~ Thats good that Tunde followed through and was able to bring your groceries to you. Thats odd that Instacart doesn't have a customer service number or at least an email to follow-up on. You could take it up with your bank if it doesn't get reimbursed and they should at least be able to take a look into things. Thats good that the move finally went through and that Leslie didn't hold back on what she said would happen this time. Hopefully for you once things have settled down you will be able to get back into the habit of doing the things you are used to doing. But its too bad that you are finding things at the new place to be more challenging. I find it odd as well that boxes weren't used (or possibly labeled correctly), That now some of your personal supplies are missing. Have you talked to the persons who moved them, or to Leslie about them? Or also the Hot water situation. That is unacceptable. I'm hoping thats due to the fact that she hasn't had it turned on just yet, and/or waiting on the Water company to do so?! Hopefully Leslie will also get someone in to fix the things needing fixed. Especially the "broken window" as that doesn't seem really safe. How nice you were able to find a "free" computer technician to help you out. Is that someone in the neighborhood? I find it surprising that they are free, how were you able to find them?..... Since Leslie and the others won't be living at the new place, who will be handling things or in charge of things? (Meal preparations, house-keeping... etc...)? I have to wonder if that would be a good or more challenging change? But I see you state that you haven't seen Leslie much over the past 10 days. So who has been handling things? Have you found that change to be better or worse? Well you'll have to continue to keep us updated on things moving forwards. Thanks for checking in and continuing to share your week.
My week was stressful at work. Ridiculous quota demands. I gotta laugh sometimes because just silly. It either laugh, cry, or have a few mai tai’s call it a day. Besides feeling overworked. I did enjoy the coworkers jokes.
Not sure, plans for spring.I do like Watermelon. Foot pain is my struggle making it long distance. Have a great day too
@MoonLightShadow423
Hey there~
Despite having a stressful work week, (and ridiculous quota demands), its really great that you can laugh at it all, be silly, enjoy coworkers jokes (and ahhh...yes, those Mai Tai's 🍹) too!
Sorry to hear that you are having some Foot pain struggles, I do know on a personal level how challenging that can be after awhile. I do hope that things work themselves out for you with that (or you can see a podiatrist if able and needed)?.... We are here for you.
We thank you for checking in this week and sharing your week with us! And please continue to let us know how you are doing and how things are continuing to go for you.
