**This past week has gone well despite the beginning of the week I had a HORRIBLE "stomach bug"... Out of no where?!... Not sure where it came from. But I had it for Two days Sunday and Monday...... I really couldn't eat anything, I was too nauseated to eat much. All I could do was drink water and tried some Protein shake (which I couldn't even finish)...The best part of it all was that I actually got some MUCH needed sleep!...(Sunday almost 11 hours worth alone!)..... I pretty much stayed in bed for TWO days straight other than trying to take care of my dog, and take a hot bath to feel better.... By Tuesday I started to feel a little better. and the rest of the week went much better......
**This past week was also Spring Break week in my area.. Not that it means much anymore since my kid is an adult now... But we used to always go away on Spring Vacation every year....But what it did mean for me was a "modified" Schedule for our Workout Facility as well as others in the area... So I didn't really have any classes to teach this week, (Not that I would have been able to with the way I felt at the start of the week).... But, on Thursday I did get to teach my Zumba Gold class and my Gold Ladies which by then I felt better and it went very well!~... And I got some time in at the lake with my dog, and a few evening walks through the neighborhood toward the end of the week as well...
**I barely ate until Tuesdays or Wednesday, but having the stomach issue really kept me on track with my choices for the rest of the week. I actually went to see a Nutritionist on Wednesday which I had booked an appt with the prior week..... just to see if what i was doing was right and was in line with her expertise..... and It was. The only thing I really need to start doing is incorating more snacks along with my meals. Which is challenging for me with the way my day runs.~ And she told me how to rearrange some things as well in how I eat my carbs.~ Not sure I really got anything "truly" new out of it, and thinking about following up with a 2nd Nutritionist as well, just to compare the information between the two?!
**Today is my Free day.... I did get to go the Bi-monthly POUND class last week, and it felt really great to just be back as a "participant'!.... Today there are two different ZUMBA classes that I would like to attempt to go to (one or the other), Just not sure which one. One is really early in the morning, and the other is Clear across town... so.. Not sure what I'm going to do just yet.~ Weather has been pretty decent, mild and sunny this past week, but today is supposed to be cloudy, so Not much else planned.~ Just my usual errands~
ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND~
I haven't posted in a while. Workouts were going pretty well, except having problems with my wrists on weeks where I do the circuit with everyone. Also had a problem with an exercise as my range of motion wasn't there right from the starting point.
Took this week off as I'm just totally fatigued, I have been getting out into the garden a little bit, just clearing out what was left over the winter.
@AffyAvo
Thats great that you have been up to getting in your workouts again and that they have been going well for you...
Its also good that its been nice enough now for you to get out and be able to do some yardwork as well. I'm not much of a "green-thumb" when it comes to any of it, but I hear it can certainly be a workout in itself.
Thanks for checking in this week and just keeping us up to date on how things have been going!
@PoliteOcean
Heya! Week is well, lots to do. Was meant to have 2 days of work, but my manager texted asking if I could work another two extra days. Of course, I said yes! First- dont have much to do. Second, money! Third, I do love work and interacting with customers and coworkers. Everyone for the most part are super nice. Today had work, one customer was so annoyed and had no right to be. I got internally very annoyed at them aha
Other than work, Ive been to the gym, had two personal training sessions and did a class today. Will do a class tomorrow (Sunday) too with my sister! I also managed to submit my assignment online three days before it was due!!! Im so happy- havent done that in years. I feel like Ill be proud of whatever mark I get, because for the first time in years, I feel like Ive put effort into it. Now, I need to do pre-readings and do a group assignment! Doing two units a semester is very chilled- I think Ill keep this for a while. I dont mind how long uni takes me to finish.
My plans for April are to consistently go to the gym, and uni! Going to the Easter Show sometime too with my sister, so thats very exciting. I havent been in a while! Tomorrow Im going to be cooking something as well. Also ordered HelloFresh (dont know if people know what it is, but its a food delivery service that gives you the exact ingredients and size and recipe, and you just need to cook it). Excited for that.
Health has been going alright, been drinking water more often (yay!) and eating healthier. However in saying that, today there were free chocolates at work and um... I might have over-indulged 😅
@rebecca947
Hey there!
Good for you for having the right attitude about "working"... I know when I was younger, I started out as a "work-aholic" because like you, I didn't have much else to do at the time, (No kids yet, on my own, and needed the money!) lol....So at every chance I was asked to work, I did. I'm sure you will be glad as well when you get your pay check with extra money on it!
Good for you that things are going well for you with school and your assignments and congrats again on having a great attitude about your assignment. That at least you know that you gave it your all and your best shot! So you can feel good and feel confident in knowing that!
Awesome for you on continuing to make the Gym and your healthy living goals a priority!.. Thats really great~ I'm glad that you are enjoying your classes... Sounds like you must have some pretty good instructors if you are enjoying them. The instructor and the energy they give (along with how fun they make it) is what makes up a class, and then everything else comes after~
I HAVE heard of "Hello Fresh"!. Thats interesting that you mentioned it, because I've been considering trying it out for awhile now, but haven't put forth the effort to do so yet... It all looks interesting enough and the food looks really good... I've seen some "special pricing" for purchasing it through something we have here called 'GROUPON"... and the reviews on it for the most part seem good enough, but I know I saw some who mentioned that not "everything" was included in the instructions (Which is ok for someone who knows how to cook) but.... for someone with little experience, could be a problem. ... So.... you will have let us know how that all goes, and how it went?!!....
Thanks so much for checking in with us this week and letting us know how things are going for you, and don't eat too many "free chocolates" this weekend!

@PoliteOcean
ooh :o didn
Hi everyone. I'm doing quite well. Good news for once. Now I'm outdoor, sitting on a bench in a small park, very close to the apartment block where I live. And that's a thing. I never go outside without a reason that involves other people besides me. And I feel so uncomfortable, like what am I doing outside? I shouldn't be there. I feel so misplaced out in the scary, ugly world lol
I survived these last days eating chocolate and candies. So unhealthy.
I'm trying to dedicate to some hobbies, mainly drawing, and I'm starting to see why people say I'm perfectionist. I'm working on accepting that yes: the work might have been done better, and I wasn't "good enough" to do it perfect, there ARE some mistakes, and there they'll stay, because I don't know how to fix them all, or they can't be totally fixed, so they come with my work, and I can't always throw everything away until I get a perfect result. It won't happen. My work will come with flaws. It's not the end of the world. I'm trying to accept this with drawing, writing and with university.
What am I doing outside here??!! Ok, enough for today, I'll go back home now
Update: discouragement episode with severe mood swing and anxiety attack over the last 5 hours or so. I feel emotionally out of control. Just when I think I'm doing good, this happens. The muscles in my shoulders are still hurting from the anxiety attack and didn't relax completely, and for some unknown reason I still feel absolutely heart broken, as if I was curled up in a ball in the complete desolation of a cold desert with no one to cry all my devastating sadness to. Heartbreaking sadness over what I have no clue.
I'm trying to figure out what triggered this. I have some ideas, but it's nothing that could realistically cause a stream of emotions like this.... What. in the world. happened? Are those emotions from traumas that keep coming back over and over again? Or do I have some issues with mood regulation like bipolar or something? Is this normal maybe for ptsd?
@GhostlyLilian
Hey there Lilian,
It sounds like you were having a really great moment and being able to get outside and be out and about enjoying your surroundings and that is really great for you......
I'm sorry to hear that things took a turn for you and that you are now feeling the opposite. If you have been diagnosed with PTSD or even un-diagnosed Bipolar, either could surely play into factor of why your mood changed so quickly for you....
But it would be difficult for anyone here to really say without knowing the entire situation or being a healthcare provider.... But if you are still seeking out help with your therapist, this can surely be something that you could talk with the about on your next visit with them....
I would perhaps if you could do so, is concentrate on the "good" feeling that you got when you got outside, and think on what it could have been that got you to "get out there" to begine with!.. Perhaps whatever it was you were feeling in that moment, maybe you could do more of that? Or put yourself in that position more?...
For instance when I was having a challenging time with my anxiety and it was difficult to get out and around others, one thing that helped me to get out more was having my dog. Even though it wasn't another person with me, I still had someone at my side... and it was easy to just bring him along with me, or put him in the car with me and get out and take a drive enjoy the scenery and the weather. Especially now with it starting to get warm out again!.....
Work on finding even the "smallest" things that give or bring you some joy or happieness... whatever that may be, and maybe you could try to possibly incorporate those things more and be able to get out more. Even if it is just back to that bench and only that bench for awhile!?!.. .Every small step counts!
Thank you for checking in this week and let us know how you've been doing.... I hope that whatever it is that caused your feelings to slip backwards, turns itself around for you and that you start to feel better soon!
Hey there. This week has been challenging because Im still using my crutch. Last week I sprained my groin muscle. Im feeling some what better. Ive been walking around more without pain. I normally do yoga at the gym but, since I have not been because of my injury Ive been stretching more at home. My husband gave me an awesome yoga mat. @PoliteOcean
@InsightfulSweets
Hey there!
Sorry to hear that things have been still been challenging for you since pulling your muscle... I've been there so I know how difficult that can be, especially when you just want to do all the things you normally do!...Its really good for you though that you are starting to feel a little better and having less pain!..
Great for you that you are still trying to do little by little at home with stretching. Stretching is really good for us to do and should continue to help with your healing (as long as its not causing any pain of course!) ....
How nice of your husband to get you an awesome yoga mat!... That means not only do you have a sweet and thoughtful husband but that also he supports you in your healthy living endeavors!![]()
Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you, please check back weekly and keep us up to date on how you are doing.~
Another busy week but pretty much staying on track. Warmer weather is allowing me better control on eating since I am more active. Eating more fresh vegetables and fruits for snacks. Allergy season is starting, but so far I have been lucky. Keeping my exercise routine going. This time of year always seems to give me more energy for projects and its nice not to have really cold weather. Not many goals to set except to stay on track with eating and exercise. Weekly check in has been a big help to stay on track. Enjoy your weekend.
@sail46
Hey there Sail!
I'm so glad that the weekly check-in is beneficial for you!... Its actually really motivating for me to see you each week!. Because in a sense I see you hanging in there and going strong as well as we both had our issue with the weight gain at the start of last year, trying to get it all back off, and then trying to maintain again........ as well as how the warmer weather brightens our moods and keeps anxiety at bay!
I love seeing how you are continuing to deal and cope each week with this journey and it surely continues to inspire me as well .. as I'm sure others. Please keep it up and continue to keep up the great work you are doing for yourself! And thank you so much as always for continuing to check in each week and keeping up to date on how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean
**How has everyone been this past week?! Pretty well!
**This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of APRIL!... What things would you like to accomplish in this New month ahead? I actually want to make it to the gym :P
**As we move through this month, what are some things you are MOST Looking forward to? Easter and some friend time
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week? I was pretty productive this week but still can work on getting active
**What are your weekend Plans?! tomorrow I have work X_X
@Mellietronx
Hey there!.. Sounds like things went rather well for you in the past week and that you were also pretty productive!... Thats really great.. I love being "productive" and feeling like I got things accomplished no matter how small, it makes you feel good.
I'm glad you are looking forward to the Easter Holiday! I personally am to.. Love spending time with those I care about.
I hope that you get a chance to make it to the gym more! Perhaps you can find some days/time on the calendar and pencil that in for the rest of the month!?.... Good luck!
Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things been going for you!
@PoliteOcean My week was uneventul, which is good because I need a break from the drama. For the past two weeks I've been heavily burdened about finding a physical therapist. I went to this one office and it was very crowded and noisey. I finally found someone who makes house calls and takes my insurance. I hope this isn't one of those too good to be true stories. Today I started to work on a project that I have been wanting to get to for a long time. My appointment with my new physical therapist is Friday April 12th so I hope things go smoothly. I'm cooking lamb shoulder chop for the first time in my entire life tonight so I hope it turns out well. I've been trying to cut expenses, but eating healthy is really important for my healing. I can't afford to not eat well.
@Regmo
Hey there! So great to see you this week... I'm glad that your week went pretty un-eventful for you, and that you possibly found someone that can see you and does House calls and takes your insurance!! That would ALL be Truly amazing for you! Good luck on your appointment with them, thats just a couple of days away!... Please let us know how it all worked out for you!
Good for you for working on a project that you've been wanting to do!... Its good to do those things and keep busy and feel accomplished!. I hope your lamb chop when well!
I do agree that eating healthy can surely be on the expensive side when you just don't have the proper funds to work with all the time.... I agree. But you are also right that we certainly need to try or do the best we can with what we got to keep our foods as healthy as we can each day. We don't have to be "perfect" but if we can do at least 80% well, then we are doing great!
Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing!
@PoliteOcean I found out on Monday that my appointment with my physical therapist is not going to work out for this Friday. I'm pretty disappointed. It's because they are an out of network provider. I have to fork over the money up front and then I get re-imbursed by my insurance. Not quite what I had in mind. Starting yesterday (Monday), there is a construction crew that is working on the wall of the condo I live in. I've got hammers and jigsaws blaring away. This is going to cut down on my productivity for the next 4-5 days. I have ear guards I can wear but i usually only use them at night, and using them during the day is cumbersome. Ugh.
@PoliteOcean
**How has everyone been this past week?! This past week I have had many ups and downs but my mood has been manageable. I did relapse with self-harm on one day but I have coped since then and I am a week clean!
**This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of APRIL!... What things would you like to accomplish in this New month ahead? There are many things I want to accomplish this month, but it includes buying my gym membership, tidying my room, dyeing my hair, and cutting my hair, and reaching the 8 week/2 month mark with my boyfriend.
**As we move through this month, what are some things you are MOST Looking forward to? I think I am most looking forward to spending time with my friends and reaching the 8 week/2 month mark with my boyfriend.
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week? There have been many of both, to be honest, but I think my highlights have been spending time with friends, the 7-week mark with my boyfriend, and the Easter holiday starting. Struggles have been managing homework and break downs.
**What are your weekend Plans? This weekend I just want to have fun, but also complete some homework.
@peacefullistener22
Sorry to hear that things have been up and down and that you relapsed with SH.... but its great that you managed to find coping skills that worked for you and put them to use for yourself and are feeling better!
Seems like you have a lot of goals that you would like to continue to work on and focus on for this month... Perhaps breaking the down and maybe focus on 1-2 each week?..... Starting with the major one that you'd like to accomplish the "most"? Then work down to your smaller goals? Perhaps that can be one way to do it or look at it!
Its good that you are also focusing on the fun times ahead for youself as well with your friends and your boyfriend. Either one usually always makes for a great time! Enjoy
Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing!
@PoliteOcean
Well I have already completed one goal and tidied my bedroom! And the 8 week mark with my boyfriend is tomorrow!
**How has everyone been this past week?!

**As we move through this month, what are some things you are MOST Looking forward to?
my boyfriend is coming this saturday for one week!! and my best friend is also visiting me in 2 weeks!!
@AveryLove
Wow... thats great Avery that you have made it through with a first good week in your new place!... Thats awesome for you. I'm sure there will be many more exciting new endeavors and journeys ahead for you in all of this that you will be able to enjoy!
Have fun with the visits of your boyfriend and other friend, sounds like you are going to really have a great time!
