**This past week has been "Less" Stressful than the week before, and I've been just going with the flow of the week..... Still getting over some respiratory stuff/coughing spells etc... But its coming along. I did my best to stay on track this week especially with the pending upcoming holiday. But...for some reason, I got off track a few days at the start of the week and did some indulging.... I did however manage to do my best to keep on track with workouts and classes, and finished up the week strong and got back on track with things. Sleep was up and down, but not too bad.

**The weather has been really chilly here this past week, so I haven't been outdoors much other than to go to a few classes and teach my own!... I'm now officially done with teaching for the Holidays. And will not return to teach until the New Year. It feels SOOOO Good mentally & physically to just be able to relax a bit. Or at least as much as I can~

**I've managed to get a few things done that I needed to do, and pretty much all the presents wrapped.....I still just have a few quick giftcards to get as "Stocking Stuffers" and I will officially be done with that as well.... I will have a Christmas EVE get-together here at my house for my family, and then we will celebrate Christmas DAY with dinner at my moms house~ I'm totally looking forward to ALL of it. Just being with my family and spending time together and of course my Mom's AMAZING Cooking! I know I will be off track a few days next week because of the holidays, but I do plan to continue with working out on my own and with my mom in the days surrounding. The weather will be a little warmer so I do plan to get some walks/hikes in when I can as well as a few classes with those who will be teaching them.

**This weekend I intend to Catch a Saturday morning Zumba class to start the weekend, and just finish up any little last minute things. Then hopefully relax and get out to see some Christmas lights in surrounding neighborhoods.

ENJOY THE WEEKEND AND THE HOLIDAY~

Glad to hear that your cough is better! Just make sure to bundle up and get the appropriate shots! Speaking of shots, I totally forgot about flu shots this year. It also looks like your Christmas is super exciting! I personally love stocking stuffer items. They are so fun and quirky! You can get those little wind-up toys or those hand-held puzzles or those super small drones that they sell at walmart.

*sigh* Speaking of Santa, I made the mistake of teling a kid that santa wasn't real when his mother had recently showed him the movie "the polar express" to prove that santa is real.

Glad you are feeling better! I can relate to indulgances this week; it's sooooooooo much more difficult when it feels like everyone is throwing "junk" food at you during the holidays. Awesome you kept up with exercise! Enjoy your break off teaching and the time to recharge. Sounds like you've been a busy little elf getting all your holiday shopping done, you are a very thoughtful person to organize so much holiday cheer :) Have a great Holiday; enjoy the relaxing and rejuvinating moments with your family and friends! Thank you for being a positive light in this community and providing thoughtful feedback week after week.

**Hey Everyone! How have you been doing this week?!

Very well! I'm livin' the life.

**We are only a few short days away from the Christmas Holiday! What are your plans for this day? Who will you be spending this day with?

Unfortunately I won't be spending time with family much. I actually live alone and my parents own a restaurant several hours away. I visit friends but it's not the same. I know, it's kinda depressing but I only have half a year left of this living situation until I go off to college.

**Do you have any plans to stay on track this day or will you allow for some indulgences? What is your Favorite Christmas Dish? What are some Healthy choices that you intend to stick to?

Unfortunatly the holidays always invite the concept of unhealthy eating. Think of all the carbs on a traditional Christmas dinner! My favorite is hash brown casserole. I kinda think Christmas is a time to enjoy yourself and eat what you want, but just make sure to add some veggies on our plate!

**What are you looking forward to the MOST about the Christmas Holiday?

Because I'm unable to visit my parents, I might just stop by a neighbor's or friend's house.

**If you dont' celebrate the Christmas Holiday, Do you celebrate any other Holiday during the upcoming week? If so, which ones?! How do you plan to spend the week?

Chinese culture is big on New Years, but it's not on January 1. The Chinese do not follow the Western Gregorian calendar, so their new year actually falls somewhere around February. Much like Christmas, you spend time with family, and I plan to do that!

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Well I got deferred from a college that I want to go to, but that's okay. Stay positive and keep grinding!

Hey there! So great to see you this week..

"Living the life", thats the way to do it!

Sorry to hear that you wont' be spending time with your family, however , "family" is what you make of it.. so if you have some "friends" to share it with then thats great too! I'm sure you are looking forward to that change to come in your living situation. Half a year surely isn't far off now!

surprise HASHBROWN CASSEROLE?!!!... um... YUM!.... lol.... That sounds so good!.. Yes, Obviously not the healthiest of choices, but, you know... we also have to "live our best lives" too.. which means "enjoying" things we love even if not the healthiest at times... Moderation is key!.. (and yes, Add those Veggies!!!)

I do know a little about the Chinese culture in terms of some of the celebrations.. I do recall reading about the Chinese New Year celebrations etc... Sounds like alot of fun And I do hope that "then" you will get to celebrate that with your family and get to be with them!

Sorry to hear about you college/schooling... Best wishes to you moving forward and that things will continue to move along and work out...And yes Keep the Faith, Stay Positive, and Keep grinding on!..

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU!... Thanks so much for checking in. It was good to see that this week!

**Hey Everyone! How have you been doing this week?! I have been doing pretty good.

**We are only a few short days away from the Christmas Holiday! What are your plans for this day? Who will you be spending this day with? I will be spending it with my friend's family. Not totally sure what we will be doing.

**Do you have any plans to stay on track this day or will you allow for some indulgences? What is your Favorite Christmas Dish? What are some Healthy choices that you intend to stick to? I love ham and greens. I do intuitive eating so I am not too worried.

**What are you looking forward to the MOST about the Christmas Holiday? not working and spending time with friends

**If you dont' celebrate the Christmas Holiday, Do you celebrate any other Holiday during the upcoming week? If so, which ones?! How do you plan to spend the week? I don't

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week? I went to a staff Christmas party which was a lot of fun. Trying to schedule some work-related things has been a struggle but I got them done.

@Mellietronx

Hey there Mellie

Sounds like things are still going really good for you!... I like how you stated that you do "intuitive" eating... Very interesting....That is really great for you that you are able to do that for yourself and have that type of "relationship" with the foods that you eat!... Being "Mindful"... In all honesty that isn't very easy for most people. (Myself for one!).... Btw I love Ham and greens too!

Sounds like you will have wonderful holiday plans with your friends. And not having to work makes it even better!

How fun (Staff Christmas Party)!... Did you have it at your place of employment, or did you have it out somewhere else? What kinds of things did they have for you to enjoy at the party?! (Thats was always one of the things I enjoy about the Christmas season is Holiday Parties).

Thanks so much for checking in this week and for keeping us up to date on how things are continuing to go for you. Always good to hear from you!

I'm trying to just let a lot go. I don't have the energy. I gave up on nagging hubby they way I would in the past to get some stuff done for Christmas. He is getting stuff done, just way after the typical timeline I would have. Tree and decorations went up on the 15th. Most of the stocking stuffers were purchased yesterday. We discovered a great church fundraiser (not a denomination I'm connected to at all) that does a wonderful Christmas cookie sale so we have very little baking, but my husband went to that for both us as well as my parents (my Mom being here for almost 2 weeks helping to care for me).

I also felt bad, but I turned down a visit from his family on the 23rd. I really would love to see them, but with already having plans to go out on the 24th & 25th, my parents likely arriving on the 23rd I wasn't up for people to drive up to come here for a visit that day on top of it, in addition to a possible medical discussion that day with a specialist. It's a busy season and most years I wouldn't be thrilled to have last minute plans on the 23rd like that but typically I would make it work. This year though I really felt like my pacing needed to come over any possible hurt feelings. Who knows, we might be able to do it as a holiday whether that be New Years Day, Christmas Eve on Dec 6, etc.

@AffyAvo

Hey there Affy!... Wow sounds like the holiday madness has certainly arrived for you!.. Seems like there is Lots going on. I know it can be challenging "letting go" of some things. Especially when you want them done "Now" or done a "Certain way"... For me, its more like I want it done "My way" regardless of when or how it happens lol... frown... But.. its great that things got done even if later than they usually would have.

Holiday cookie fundraiser... How cool. Seems like by the time I hear about things like that in my area its too late. I like that kind of stuff myself.

How awesome of your hubby and parents to go for you both. And even more awesome that you have such a great mom to stay around for so long to help care for you during this time. Thats really great for the both of you.

Sorry to hear that you had to turn down a Family visit. but sounds like things were really going to be so busy for you in those short few days. And then with trying to take care of your health on top of it all, thats alot to deal with. Pacing yourself definitely sounds required. But sounds like you are already thinking of other ways to make things work and whether its the 23rd or a little after, its still the Holiday season... (My hubby had to remind me of that when I got "down" on the both of us for trying to "cram" so much in to a short amount of time).... I guess I just like to do so much in the days leading up to Christmas and during that timeframe. I get a little upset if I have to wait until "after" the actual holiday itself. My hubby is like BUT ...its "Still the Christmas season".. lol... I guess part of it is my OCD.

But anyway.. sounds like you have LOTS to look forward to in these few days and that it will all be keeping you busy with family~ I do hope that you are able to enjoy it all. And we will certainly have to catch up with one another after all of the "rush" ends.

Thanks for taking the time to check in this week and letting us know how things are going for you. Its great to hear from you when you are up to posting!

@PoliteOcean This past week I saw my endocrinologist on Monday. I found out the results of my blood test. I have low hemoglobin, low red blood cell count, and low hematocrit. I was discharged from care because of my good progress. My Ukrainian girlfriend turned out to be a scammer. Scammers don't ask for money right away, they wait until you are emotionally attached, then ask for money. My caretaker Veronica and I did a bunch of running round trying to get my paperwork in for my government benefits. I asked my bank to send me my account statements several weeks ago but they dropped the ball. Fortunately, we got everything done in time. I'm going to be moving into my new place on Saturday Dec 28th, which is 5 days ahead of schedule. I'm very excited and happy about it. I'll be able to do my own cooking, so I will be eating better.

Hey there Regmo! How great for you that you were able to get in to see your Endo doctor. And even better for you that you've gotten your result for everything. How positive for you that they feel you are making good progress. Sounds like good news..... Thats too bad that things didn't go over well with your Online Girlfriend and that she wasn't what you were hoping for. Its good to hear that Veronica is continuing to workout for you and helping you like she should. And that you got everything done in time. And how AWESOME for you that you will be getting to move into your new place so soon. And even better for you that you can start eating healthier again! All great news. Sounds like a pretty good check in for you this week. Thanks so much for continuing to let us know how things are going for you!...

**Still on the struggle bus this week. Very low energy and in a generally pretty bad mood.

**I am very lucky to be traveling for the holidays (someone else paid for a plane ticket for me, hallelujah). Spending christmas and New Years on a warm beach which I think will be good for my body- I've been stuck in a fatigued state and hoping the change of environment will perk me up a bit.

**I'm planning on allowing myself a bit of give with my eating habits; going to have some treats but I've also noticed that now I feel like no food is really worth feeling like crap so I don't give in as asily to foods I know don't make me feel good. My favorite Christmas food was lasagna growing up- not sure if that is actually a Christmas food but that is what we always had and I like it. I hope to stick to getting in some yoga practice and eating lots of vegetables.

**I'm looking forward most to a change of scenery; it might get me out of my current funk. We should be able to snorkel a few places while on holiday; diving/snorkeling are like meditation for me.

**I don't celebrate Christmas in the traditional Christian meaning but do celebrate as a chance to appreciate loved ones and express gratitute for things I have in life.

**Highlights; made it to a hot yoga class this week without needing days of reocvery afterwards. Discovered a new delicious indian restaurant. Took my dog on several walks (he loved running in the snow). Drove around looking at Christmas lights drinking cocoa. Struggles: having a couple days of work get cancelled and missing out on money that I really need right now. Stuggling to control my downward thought spirals.

**Over the weekend I cleaned the yoga studio, went to a yoga class, looked at Christmas lights and spent a lot of time relaxing.

**Kind of got off the wagon with my eating habits lately and it is showing in my body. IBS is back; lots of abdominal cramping/bloating and not good BM's. Having trouble faling asleep at night. Incredibly fatigued and the pain in my hips is back. Not sure if this is from slipping in the nutrition department or was inevitable. I haven't been taking the Omega 3's for a few weeks because I ran out; I think I might start again because I feel like it may have been helping with my mood and gut issues. I've found that once I stop with sugar/glutenous carbs for a while, I stop having crazy cravings but the moment I start slipping then I turn into a ravenous monster- there doesn't seem to be much wiggle room there.

Hey there!

So sorry to hear that you are still struggling so much this week with things. And that its affecting your energy and mood so negatively.

But wow!.. How lucky and blessed are you to be able to travel for the holiday AND to have someone else pay for those travels. AND the beach?!.. The beach has been proven to positively help with our overall wellbeing and state of mind! Its one of my most favorite places to be as often as I can get there. Which beach will you be enjoying for your Holiday?! I'm sure the change in scenery will certainly be able to help put your body, mind and spirit in a better place.

How awesome that while you intend to "enjoy" yourself for the holidays, that you are also self-aware in being careful and mindful of what foods will be "worth" putting in your body. ..... I find it Very interesting that you had "Lasagna" for Christmas growing up!?!... Are you Itailian by chance?!..( Its so cool to hear everyone's traditions whether past or present. And lets face it, Lasagna is pretty darn good ANY time of year! lol.....)... And Great job on thinking and planning ahead on how you intend to stay on track with things (By incorporating some Yoga and getting in those veggies!)... yes

How awesome that you intend to be "adventurous" and "active" on your "travels" (Snorkeling and Diving)?! Wow!... I'm more of the (Beach hat, Sun-block-wearing, Sit under the umbrella or Wade in the water kind of beach gal) lol.... Although I do love to take time to walk the length of the beach as much as I can. Great cardio and lots of steps!

Sounds like you had some really Awesome "Highlights" over the past week (Hot yoga, New eatery with great food, Dog walking, Snow, Hot cocoa, Christmas lights)!... ALL Amazing and fun!

As far as the struggles, I can relate to having work cancelled knowing that you will miss that money (b/c lets face it Bills don't pay themselves!)... So I get it... I personally try to look at it as a "Mental Health/Self Care" day instead. And try to work on myself during that time off.

I really love your "self-awareness" as well, in knowing and paying attention to your "habits" and how all of it may be affecting you. It puts you on a better path in knowing what to do and not do for yourself to allow yourself to "feel good" or feel "better". And the steps needed to move forward (even after slip-ups or indulgences)....I am aware that "Omegas" are good for joint pain as well (inflammation) which might even explain the hip pain perhaps?... I hope that you get it all figured out for yourself. I know that you will get yourself back on track. You've been doing really great!

Thank you so much for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on things and how you are doing. SAFE TRAVELS to you!... And Have a Wonderful Holiday and New Year!

This has been a week filled with snacks! I have said no to so many things I know I don't need and have been told that it's okay, it's the holiday. But it will create more work later on when I want to lose anything I gain! I've done well and I am pretty proud.
