🌞 This past week went pretty fast again... another blink and you missed it. But it went well. Kept up with appointments, got in water, and Started wearing my FITBIT tracker again after taking a personal break from it and other things during my Mental Health Break~... It has shown me that my sleep has gone pretty well this past week. And I'm glad that I've been starting to lay down earlier.
🌴This past week the weather has been pretty mild... not really hot like it was, But nice. I notice with less Sunshine this week that it affected my mood a bit more. I feel better when theres more sun. The Pool water has cooled off a bit more-so than I'd like. So I was only able to get in the pool maybe twice this past week. Hopefully next week I will be able to add more swim time since it will get hotter again.
🏊 My goals for the month ahead are to try to improve in & get back on track with my previous goals before my Mental Health Break. Getting back to more activity, and tracking my day better again.
🍍 This weekend is a long holiday weekend, with the July 4th holiday.... Intentions are to take a day trip & sightsee Saturday, then checkout some neighborhood holiday events throughout the weekend. And hopefully get back to the Drive-In movie theather to see the New ELVIS movie~

🌴 Welcome to July! This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of JULY~ We are officially in the 2nd half of this year already, this year is going too fast..... What things are you looking forwards to MOST this month ahead?
I honestly do not know.
🏊What goals would you like to set for yourself in this new month Physically, mentally or personally?
🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
recently been kicked from my studies. But I’m okay with it i guess.
🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!
Be nice to others 💖 you never know who needs it
@emotionalTalker2260
Hey Emo.. its ok if you don't know what you are looking forwards to ahead this month. Its only the first day after all... We can totally pace ourselves!
What type of job are you looking forwards to?
Thats too bad about being kicked from your studies... Are you in college? Not sure how someone gets kicked from studies? But you don't have to explain if you don't wish to.
I think your words of advice about being nice to others is very good advice... I know sometimes we can get tangled up in our own day to day lives or feelings. And not think about the feelings or lives of others around us. And sometimes we may not be the best or nicest persons we can be to others. Sometimes we should really mind ourselves, our words and our actions towards others if we aren't feeling the best ourselves. Not to mention we never know how it could change someone else's life just by taking the time to give one moment of kindness.
Thanks for checking in this week and sharing~
@PoliteOcean
I am gonna try and get a job somewhere near my house. So I don’t have to pay transport to get there 😆
and i got kicked from my tertiary and further education studies because I wasn’t getting enough help and i was failing it 😀
@emotionalTalker2260
Sorry to hear that Emo... HUGS 🌺
@PoliteOcean
*hugs* 🤗 I’m okay with it though. Gives me freedom to do what i want to do
@PoliteOcean
Mediocre week for me.
I know right, officially the new year has ended and now we are in the old year.
Join a gym, set a goal and get busy
I made a DIY Table
Allow yourself to be better
@DonaldDraper hi donald. making a diy table and joining a gym sounds great!! setting goals can be very helpful as well as motivating at the same time. thanks for sharing
@DonaldDraper
Hey there DD.. sorry to hear that its been a mediocre week for you. I think its awesome though that you took time to make a DIY table. (Photo share please!)..
I think its also really great that you are looking into joining a gym and looking forwards to setting goals for yourself. Please keep us updated on how that is going and working out for you!
And yes, allowing ourselves to be "better" or any improvements we make for ourselves or within ourselves is awesome. 👍 Keep it up! And thanks for checking in this week and sharing with everyone!
@PoliteOcean
Hello polite . Hope u r well .
1. It's been an up and down week for me . Started with me crying 3 days non-stop. Then things slightly improved. So that's that.
2. This month will come with its share of challenges for me . I might be moving out from my home in search of jobs . It's gonna be extremely tough and challenging for me . Let's see.
3. I would like to do cycling and meditation daily .
4. Sorry I ain't from the States.
5. This week has been such a roller coaster ride. It was excruciatingly tough in the first 3 days . But after that things became slightly easier. So I am glad . And today's day has turned out decently okay too .
Thanks for reading 🙂
@calmsoulmeet
Hey there Calm~ Thank you for the wellwishes <3
Sorry to hear that you were having such an emotional time... Thats so good that they have improved for you (maybe getting it all out was was what you needed)?
Hopefully you will find as the month moves ahead that things will fall in line for you with the possible move from your home and your search of jobs. What type of job will you be looking into? Will you be moving alone or have a roommate? Please let us know how that comes together for you.
Cycling and meditation "daily" sounds like a great plan and goal to work towards! Or at least starting of a few times a week and gradually work up to daily if its something that you find is fitting for you to do. The meditation itself would be a great way to start and improve your mind and inner peace while working towards the possible move and job search.
All in all, it sounds like you had a challenging start but that things improved for you over the course of the week. And that is really great for you. We thank you for sharing your week with us and letting us know how things went for you. And will look forwards to hearing how things are continuing to go! Thanks for checking in this week!
@PoliteOcean
Thanks Polite 😊
@PoliteOcean
Here’s how the past week went. I’m still struggling with insomnia and hot flashes. My government issued free Smart phone arrived and I started calling potential caretakers. Someone was supposed to come over for an interview on Thursday but they never showed up. I followed up with a phone call and there was no answer. I have an appointment for another interview for Monday. Leslie didn’t put much thought into planning this place. I’m having increasing low tolerance for disruption. I didn’t do any Bible study this past week and I only prayed twice. I didn’t read my book and didn’t study any art history. I asked 4 times to have the light bulb put in and no action so far. My Samsung Galaxy A5 Smart phone came in but I don’t think I’m going to get a service plan right now because of cost issues. I spent 50 minutes in the customer service chat room tracking down one of my supplement orders and it was sent to the skilled nursing facility where I was 3 years ago. For this upcoming week I have an appointment with one of my providers regarding my hot flashes. I purchased an OTC testosterone supplement but it’s going to take a while for it to kick in. I found a chat room where I could get one-on-one support and it was very helpful. I called Bright Heart Health for counseling and I have an intake appointment on July 12th. I’m really bitter about both living in a group home and being a chronic pain patient. I don’t know what in the world God thinks he’s doing. My lifestyle is really dehumanizing.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo... Thats too bad that you are still struggling with the sleepless nights (and the hot flashes that I'm sure aren't making that situation much easier)....Thats good that you are following up with your caretaker situation and looking for potential new ones. I'm sure its a bit frustrating especially with one of the first ones already not showing up. But thats great you managed to get another interview set up so quickly for Monday. (Especially with it being a holiday)... I can't believe you are still struggling with the Lightbulb situation. That truly is ridiculous that they haven't taken care of that for you yet, and that there isn't someone you can contact about the situation that can help you if she won't. Its even more ridiculous that your order was sent to a place that you haven't been at in quite along time at 3 years! I'm sure you are glad to have an appointment set up for the week ahead for your hot-flash issue. And that they will be able to help you out with that. Regardless of the actual issues or circumstances, It can surely be a challenge when we are in, or have found ourselves in an undesired lifestyle. Whether one has always lived it, or if by sudden circumstances. It can be tough trying to or having to adapt. Its surely easy to ask why, or to find blame in certain things. Its great that we have places like this @ 7cups 24/7 (or other groups) that can help with coping, support, or just simply be heard & validated when we need it. Hopefully you will manage soon to be able to get back to doing more of the things you were enjoying like the Bible study, prayer and your art history... I know how beneficial it can be to have just a few things that give us purpose each day. Thanks for checking in this week and keeping everyone up to date. And for letting us know how things are still moving along for you. Let us know how things are continuing to go with the caretaker search, the lightbulb issue, and getting more of your needs met.
@PoliteOcean
My goal is to focus on my emotions and to really feel in tune with them. At the moment, I'm struggling a little bit with validating and accepting the more 'extreme' emotions, such as anger and sadness, which sometimes leads to prolonged frustration
@JuneTrips
Hello there June, thats great that you are working on some personal wellness. And working towards focusing on your emotions more. And working towards validations and acceptance. I know that can be a challenge and struggle for sure. But you are doing it, and making it a goal for yourself. We are here to support you in anyway that we are able. Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself, we are here for you. And we thank you for checking in this week to share with us! Please keep us up to date on how you are doing.
@PoliteOcean
This month I am looking forward to a camping trip with my family and my sisters family -13 of us altogether!💜
My health goals this month are to work up to doing yoga 5-6 days/week, to get outside at least 2x per week (social anxiety), and to stabilize my sleep schedule.
My spiritual goal is to read my Bible every day💜
@coffeeandyoga hi there! a camping trip with your family and sisters family sounds like so much fun - i hope you guys enjoy it !! 😊
doing yoga consistently and going outside as well as adjusting to a sleep schedule are all amazing goals to have. as well as stimulating yourself spiritually by reading the bible. thank you so much for sharing!
@coffeeandyoga

I LOVE even more that you are working on your spiritual self and working on daily Bible goals! Keep up the great work! (What is your favorite scripture)?!

How has your week gone?
🌴 Welcome to July! This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of JULY~ We are officially in the 2nd half of this year already, this year is going too fast..... What things are you looking forwards to MOST this month ahead?
🏊What goals would you like to set for yourself in this new month Physically, mentally or personally?
🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
oof, my week's been rough, physically. came down with a nasty fever/etc and im still recovering. but i'm feeling better, better enough to get back to work tomorrow. i can't miss anymore days 😅
this month i'm really looking forward to making more progress in my mental health journey... i'm looking forward to going to an art fair later this month & for my family and me to make more progress on applying for a new place to move.
for goals, i'm not quite sure honestly. i'll get back to you on that 😁
highlight of the last week was watching fireworks for the 4th of july & having some pizza to celebrate. struggles was dealing with whatever sickness i caught, lol. trying to get myself to feel better & get up and do something was a little difficult. i got over the most difficult part though. temperature is back to normal. my fever at it's highest was 102.3!
@stjarne hi! sorry to hear that you got sick, i hope you get to recover quickly for work! ❤️ with a fever like that, it must feel pretty exhausting.
that is so great to hear that you are setting the goal of improving your mental health. an art fair sounds like so much fun as well as inspiring! glad to hear that you had a lovely 4th of july with some good pizza. thank you very much for sharing
How has your week gone?
My week has been challenging with growth and lessons being learned.
🌴 Welcome to July! This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of JULY~ We are officially in the 2nd half of this year already, this year is going too fast..... What things are you looking forwards to MOST this month ahead?
Look I’m not really looking forward to anything; I’m a millennial snowflake dealing with chronic poverty, illness and homelessness.
🏊What goals would you like to set for yourself in this new month Physically, mentally or personally?
Physically: upgrade my water situation as the tap water I’m drinking has me feeling unwell.
Mentally: volunteer in the community at a food bank, organization and community garden.
Personally: spend more time outside and doing healthy activities and positive self care.
🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Highlights: ordering a healthy, sustainable food hamper from local sources, making it to my first 7cups huddle (Even though I barely slept.), finding local indigenous resources (Free food, nutritionist, coffee maker, sage kit, sweat lodge, elder wisdom and more.), starting a new yoga program, accepting help, journaling, unpacking. Longboarding, weaving, taking myself out for frozen yoghurt, ice cream and to the cafe.
Struggles: feeling forgotten, lonely, confused and lost. Isolated. Moody and cramping from menstruation. Upset about my brother drinking. Not sure what to feel about someone from my upbringing passing away recently.
🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!
I would like to talk about death, and add or share that the emotions and experience around it could still be challenging when one isn’t feeling well-organized in mind and body.
@PoliteOcean
@Dallady
Hey there Dallady, despite having a challenging week, its good that you were able to gain some growth and lessons from it.
Sorry to hear that you aren't really looking forwards to much due to circumstances or situations. We certainly do wish the best for you..... I think its great that you are making and creating some goals for yourself. Including upgrading your water for your physical wellbeing, volunteering and organizing , as well as spending more time doing things that are heathier for you personally. And working on Selfcare. I think you just named many things right there that you have to look forwards to! All are great and positive things! Keep up the great work. And please keep us updated on how these goals are coming along for you.
Regarding death, everyone has their own individual feelings and emotions surrounding it. And any kind of grief over it can be challenging and impact each person in different ways. Everything in our personal lives in one way or another can affect or impact our overall wellbeing body & minds. If we find that it affects our daily living, then that is when we should always consider getting or reaching out for extra support.
Thanks for checking in and sharing your thoughts and your week with everyone. Continue to keep us up to date on everything.
