🌞 This past week went well...Quiet for the most part, but busy as well with little things.... Back on complete track with tracking my food again, Getting in and tracking more steps, & setting small goals for myself. I didn't quite meet my water or sleep goals this past week, but it was funny that my body woke me up at the same timeframe every morning this week~ Will continue to work on what I've been doing & work on water & sleep goals.

🌴 This week the weather continued to be beautiful, sunny & Hot! Making for continued great Swimming weather. So have been continuing to Lounge in the Pool & listen to my favorite channels on Sirius Satellite Radio for my Self-care time. And then I did laps for 30 minutes afterwards.

🌊 I also kept busy this week doing alot of deep cleaning, and cleaning out "Clutter" (of old clothes & workout clothes etc...in my closets & drawers) and did alot of rearranging as well. As we know, clutter around us can affect our Mental health and wellbeing. And mine feels really great after getting all of that done finally!

🍍 No major plans for this weekend ahead...Right now I've been Dog-sitting for my son & will be through the next week. And having two dogs (including my own) even though they are both small, can keep a person busy with double the load. And its supposed to rain. So might just do a few errands, & then relax with some movies~ (Although, if I could, I would be lounging on a Beach somewhere tropical, under a palm tree and blue, sunny skies)~

Hello Polite . Another week gone past in a jiffy . Please find my answers as under :::

1. My week was excruciatingly tough . My physical and mental health declined like anything. All in all , I am a big mess .

2. Nothing good happened for me this week . But I started doing bit of yoga and excercise daily . I plan to do it on a regular basis .

3. Sorry I haven't yet participated in the event .

4. I feel like going to a serene place . Like maybe Indonesia .

5. Like I said earlier, my physical and mental health worsening were my biggest struggles this week . I feel like just crying my heart out . It's too big a burden to take .

Thanks for reading .

Hey there Calm, yes, its so crazy how fast time is just flying by week to week~

So sorry to hear that your having a tough time with your mental and physical health. I know how difficult and challenging that can be to deal with. Especially when dealing with 'both'.

I think it so great that you have started doing some Yoga! That is awesome. And hopefully you will come to find its benefits on both your body and mind. I have actually been thinking on doing it too. I have an acquaintance who is really into "Yoga with Adrienne" on YouTube. And from what I understand her channel has a lot of various types of yoga that deal with different things (such as pain etc..). From what I understand her channel is really good. I thought of looking into it myself to get back into stretching. During my own mental health break, I really got out of exercising. Even as an instructor I have to get back into the swing of things again. I think its great that you are making a goal of doing it on a daily basis! Please keep us updated on how that is going for you!

Indonesia is an interesting choice! What are the things about Indonesia that Intrigue you most?!

Just know that if you feel like you are struggling, and feel like crying, then do whatever it is that you feel will help. Sometimes we need to let our feelings out, and get those emotions out. Crying is a good healthy way to do that. And even if it doesn't feel like it when you are doing it and going through it, sometimes its just enough to cleanse away all the negative emotions from your body and mind. And can even help in creating a clean slate and possibly clearer thoughts on what to do going forwards.

We hope that things start to look up for you soon. I know it can so difficult going through "negative periods" in our life, and feeling at our lowest.... Not knowing when they will come to an end. But I have found throughout my life, that even though during those rough patches when we can't see it, that they typically always do tend to come together and fall back into place. Just know that we are here for you at 7cups to support you in any way that we can.

Take care of yourself and we hope that your week ahead is a much better one for you!

@PoliteOcean, I am sleepy today. Enjoying a lazy day for a bit.

The best thing that happened this month was taking a mini vacation from work and family drama.

The healthiest thing was having relaxing spa days.

I try to apply the self-care challenge in everyday practice. Watch some tv and rest in bed to incorporate into my weekend. I would enjoy going to a tropical beach for traveling anywhere.

Highlights would be reduced family drama and struggles would be getting back into exercising. Some days I had to stay late at work to deal with things. I managed to monitor and assist with multiple projects.

I was enjoying the cute babies on tik tok videos. They were silly.

@MoonLightShadow423

Hello there Moon, I find its always nice to have and enjoy a good "Lazy day". I find they are good for our mental health and consider it a good form a 'selfcare'~

Thats great that you were able to take a vacation away from things (and drama).... Thats always a good way to refresh and recharge.

I agree with you on trying to apply self-care (in some way) to my everyday life! Its great that you find time and make ways to do that for yourself! (And I'm with you on the "Beach")! Its one of my favorite places to be.

Reduced family drama is always a positive thing... and hopefully you will be able to overcome the struggle of getting back into exercising. I know how challenging that can be too when you are away from doing it for awhile. I would say start small, and with something you find enjoyment in. Even if its just a short walk outside in nature, a short swim, walking a pet, etc... starting small and working your way up can help you start creating workout habits again.

Thank you for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you. Please keep us updated on how you are doing!

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. I'm very happy my nightsweats have stopped. That was awful. I finished my book "Receiving Healing from the Courts of Heaven. It feels good to get back into a regular schedule after so much disruption. I study art history almost every day, and I feel good about that also Tuesday and Friday Tunde took me to the library to study art history and then for a walk at San Leandro Marina. I should probably get back into the habit of going for a walk around my neighborhood again. Thursday Tunde took me to the library and I got a print out of Bible verses and prayers to revamp my devotional life. I got tired of praying the same old thing over and over again. I tried to join a Christian ministry called "Groundwire" as a online coach. They wanted a pastoral recommendation and I was unable to give them one so they rejected my application. I applied to another Christian ministry called "HeGetsUs" as an online prayer minister and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. For this upcoming week, Wednesday I'm getting a blood test, Thursday I'm getting my COVID booster shot, and Friday I'm going to the library. I log into the Christian chat room for prayer 2-4 times per day. I'm reading my political book.

@Regmo

Hi Regmo... Thats good that your nightsweats are a thing of the past for you. And that you are keeping up with your books and studies (and without disruptions). Your walk at the Marina sounds really nice. I like walking around our Marina too on nice sunny days. Helps to clear my head some. Thats good that your caregiver got you to the library and that you are continuing to work on your devotional life. I know sometimes our prayer lives can become a bit "stale". And we have to start doing things differently. Hopefully you will hear some positive news back from HeGetsUs. Good job at keeping up with your appointments ahead. Also, you might want to think on the Booster. They are creating a new one that is supposed to be out in Sept or Oct from what I keep reading. That is supposed to specifically target the newest strain. Just something to think about. Sounds like things are going better for you this past week. Thank you for checking in and sharing with us. Keep us updated on how things are continuing to go.

The 7 day challenge has been interesting.

If Scotty could 'beam me over' I would love to go see my daughter and granddaughters.

The biggest HIGHLIGHT of this week was finding out that I'm going to be a great-grandma.

My favorite things to share are my embroidery stitch-outs, my graphics I make with quotes, and my photography. It would be easy for me to bombard those threads with multiple pictures but I'm trying hard to just share about one a day...lol.

For the Suggestion Box:
I'm trying to up my daily steps too. It would be nice to have a friendly thread where we could maybe report our daily count... get some encouraging accountability. And if something isn't going right, feeling down, members can offer encouragement and maybe suggest thoughts or actions that helped them out of a slump.

@EmbStitcher33

Hey there Stitch~ In what ways are you finding the 7 day challenging interesting?!

Aww... that would be a nice trip. Grandkids are fun.... And wow, Congrats on becoming a "Great"-grandparent. Even More fun coming your way.~

How lovely that you do embroidery. I used to watch my own mom and grandmother and aunts all do those when I was very young and growing up. We would love to see some photographs of all your work!

Regarding the "Suggestion Box" thank you for sharing your ideas. We currently do have the "Healthy Living Buddies" thread. Where members/listeners can share and support one another! You can partner up, or simply share and allow others to support and comment. Currently, they are talking about "re-doing" the Forums a bit. So once those decisions are made or if they are, then we can then move and progress forwards on other possible categories if needed. However, we'd love to continue to support you however we can here in the Weekly Check-ins, as well as in the Healthy Living Buddies thread!

We are looking forwards to seeing your progression with increasing your steps and activity. Please continue to share and keep us informed on that. And thank you for checking in this week!

How was your week?

🌴This is the LAST Check-in for the Month of JULY~... What is the BEST thing that happened for you this month? .... What is the HEALTHIEST thing you did for yourself in July?!

I’m belated on this check in. I think the healthiest things I did for myself in July was NOT doing certain things. If that makes sense.

🏊 How many of you are taking Part in the 7Cups JULY'S SELF-CARE CHALLENGE this week?... (its running from the 25th to the 31st )... You still have "TWO" more days! WHAT will "YOU" do to Incorporate Self-care for yourself this weekend?!

Oh, I’m not sure if I did this or not. I try incorporate more self care every day though using any tools or skills collected over the past few decades.

🌊 JUST FOR FUN: If You could do ANYTHING Or go ANYWHERE this weekend, What would you do Or where would you go?!

Well if I could go anywhere or do anything this weekend I would perhaps go to the ocean and swim in it, surf and enjoy healthy food, good sleeps and childlike fun safely and well.

🍍What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

I think my highlights and struggles were around my health, wealth and happiness and perhaps being a bit stuck and trapped.

🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!

Well I suppose I wanted to talk about being stuck and trapped and how surrendering to transformation and grace is important when becoming the butterfly.

@Dallady

Hey there... Better late than not at all right?!...Thanks for "catching up"!

Awesome job on trying to incorporate more selfcare daily. I think just doing small things for ourselves daily good for us in everyway. We have to make ourselves a priority even through the smallest of things or ways. Keep up the great work~

I like the idea of going to the Ocean!... One of my favorite places to be! And kuddos on enjoying "healthy food" while at the beach~ ;)

Sorry to hear that your being a bit stuck and trapped....but I like the idea of "surrendering" to transformations~ (and becoming that "butterfly")... How beautifully put!

Again, thank you for coming back to "catch up" on this check in and for sharing with us!
