🌞 This past week went pretty well... Started off with the Holiday weekend, took a drive out to enjoy a new city, went to the Zoo saw alot of great animals and got in Alot of steps for the day & Explored for a bit. Although we didn't formally go to see any fireworks, I had plenty of neighbors who set them off and because we live on "elevated land" we got to see plenty just by sitting up high on our porch!
🏊 This week was another scorcher, so got in Plenty and Lots of Pool & Swim time each day~ Being in the Sunshine, floating in the pool & listening to good music has really been so good for my mental health & wellbeing. Even on the days that tried to get to me a little, I was able to push through just by taking time to "float" and chill~ Not many walks this week with the pup, as its the time of year where we tend to get lots of evening rain. Managed to squeeze in maybe one or two.
🌴 This weekend intentions are to drive out and go back to the city that we visited last weekend so that we can finish exploring the things we didn't get to see before coming home. And wherever the day takes us~
@PoliteOcean
sounds like you really had a few great moments last week with your holiday weekend, visiting a new city, seeing animals (im jealous!) and walking a lot! yay to that!!! being in the pool also sounds so refreshing, relaxing and fulfilling. i can relate that being in the pool can really improve ones mood and wellbeing!
with that being said, i hope you are maybe able to visit the city again and see the rest of it pretty soon!! i hope you have fun with that :) thanks for sharing ocean

the fourth was just another day/night.... had to deal with a few neighborhood fireworks but it wasn't too bad this year...
wasn't a good week in one important way, involves more than I want to say but I'm dealing with it... basically pissed off, yeah, I'll get over it...
didn't get much done on some stuff, but finished others... so, productivity is okay

@PoliteOcean
Here’s how the past week went. I continue to struggle with insomnia and nightsweats. I had a telephone appointment with my doctor on Thursday. She told me to call my problem nightsweats and not hot flashes, because they only occur at night. If I had hot flashes, they would occur during the daytime. She’s not going to prescribe any medication until I get some blood work done. She said I could have asymptomatic tuberculosis. I’m happy to announce I hired a new caretaker. His name is Olatunde, and goes by “Tunde”. He’s going to work Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We anticipate his start date will be Tuesday July 19th. I still don’t have proper lighting in my bedroom. I didn’t do any Bible study and only prayed a few times. Sometimes I listen to Christian teaching when I have insomnia. One of my big problems is I am unable to pray in tongues because of a lack of privacy. I studied art history once and didn’t read my book. I filled out intake forms for Bright Heart Health. I have a telephone appointment this upcoming Tuesday. I still need to upload my identification. The problem is I think my new Obama phone is locked, and my laptop uses Windows 10, and Windows 10 doesn’t recognize locked devices. I might be able to load my identification directly to their web site using my Obama phone. Leslie still has dead flowers on the dining room table from Mother’s day from two months ago. I found a church that has once a month service on the last Thursday of the month at 12 noon, and I sent the pastor an email asking for more information, but I haven’t heard anything back yet. Dennis urinates in the front yard. Leslie tells him not to but he does it anyways.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo... thats good you were able to get to talk with your doctor about whats going on with you. And hopefully further testing will get to the bottom of whatever is happening and she can deal with it from there. Thats really great that you were able to get a New caretaker so fast! Have you ever worked with a Male caretaker before? I know typically since all the time you've been checking in, they've been females. I know some people prefer one over the other. Thats crazy that the lighting situation still hasn't been dealt with yet. I tend to listen to Christian teachings as well when I want to fall asleep. I find it to be very helpful. I see you are wanting to pray in tongues. Have you ever done that before? I have not. Hopefully you'll get everything with your identification figured out. Hopefully you'll also hear something back from the pastor regarding the Once a month services. That would be a good idea. And its a feasible timeframe to go as well. Keep us updated on how that works out. Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been continuing to go. Also keep us updated on your new caretaker.
@PoliteOcean
Hello Polite ! . Thanks for the check in .
1. This week has been okaish for me . I have been dealing with extreme loneliness these days . Have absolutely no friends in real life . Have been trying to make some friends over here but with little success.
2. Apparently there weren't any memorable moments for me this week. Sorry.
3. I attended a 5 day healing course . So I think that was healthy I did .
4. Thats about it I guess.
Thanks for reading.
@calmsoulmeet
Hi there Calm! Thank you for the reply~
So sorry to hear that you have been dealing with feeling lonely and are finding it difficult to make friendships. I know how challenging that can be. And I know for those who experience Mental health issues, that it can possibly make it even more challenging to do. I'm a fitness instructor, which means being around very many people over the course of the week as well as making and creating friendships. And its been where Alot of my socialization has come in for me over the recent years.... But a few times I've had to take a mental health break for my own sanity, and know how it can feel to not be around others as much or not have those friendships or people around you as often. It can surely create a lonely feeling. I have found during those times, that I had to find and immerse myself in other interests that keep me busy. Or that keep me active in my day so that I'm not thinking about the lonely feelings as much. Typically it works. I know what also helps me is having my Pet Dog. He's been of great comfort to me throughout the day. I found getting out with him, taking walks, playing and cuddling with him has been very beneficial. Not sure if you have a pet? Or if you have ever considered one if you don't?
Wow! a five day healing course!?? That sounds amazing. I would LOVE to hear more about that. What did that consist of for you? Was it about physical healing, mental/emotional healing? I'm glad to hear that you took part. And yes it was absolutely something healthy that you did for yourself. Great job!
I take time to try to do things like that as well when I'm not in full swing with instructing. I allow my mind to get centered and focused on other things that help my overall wellbeing. Keep up the great work, I hope that you find more things like that which can benefit your life in other ways. 7 cups is surely a great resource to never feel alone. And to help connect with others, and help boost your overall wellbeing. Just remember that we are here for you , and to help support you.
I thank you for checking in with us this week, and letting us know how you've been feeling and doing. Please continue to keep us updated. And take care
@PoliteOcean
Hello polite . Thanks for the reply .
So the healing course consisted of healing techniques like Angel healing , chakra balancing , chakra healing etc etc .
One of the best things about last week was taking a picture of my first butterfly this year. If you want to see it in this post, let me know and I'll post it. Taking pictures helps me when I'm feeling down. We have bird feeders and flowers in our yard, so always looking for bugs, bees and butterflies to catch interesting pictures of. I love catching fleeting moments in nature that I can make more permanent and in a way I can share the beauty. . . Wishing all a happy week.
@EmbStitcher33
Oh wow Stitch...thats awesome. I LOVE butterflies~ So beautiful. I would LOVE to see you post the photo here for all of us to see. Please feel free to do so.
I'm glad that you find its something that is beneficial for you. And that you found it to be a highlight during your week. Anytime you want to share this in your check-ins please do!
Thank you for stopping by again to share that with us!

🌴 Last week was pretty good! I was on vacation the past couple weeks and I returned to work yesterday. The most memorable thing that happened is I got to see my husband before he gets deployed and we visited his family and went on a few short activity trips. :)
🌞 So, I've gotten smacked in the face with some harsh realities this week. Mostly financially. I'm trying to take things one step at a time and plan as realistically as I can while keeping in mind that some things are just out of my control. I'm trying to be easy on myself and remembering that sometimes, things just aren't going to go my way.
Some highlights are quitting my job, which has been mistreating us staff lately, to pursue something better. My communication skills have strengthened, as I've learned that setting boundaries and putting my foot down can be uncomfortable, but necessary.
🌴I'm growing! I can feel great things coming, even though I'm a bit stuck right now.
@toucans
Hey there Toucans~ Sounds like you had a pretty good week, and how lovely that you got time away from work and was able to spend it with your husband before he leaves. And how nice for you that you got to visit with family and get some activity trips in & enjoy.
Thats sounds challenging regarding your financial concerns... I know how difficult that can be. But it sounds like you are keeping a good head about things. And hopefully things will come together for you there.
How great for you that you were able to get away from employment in which you felt you weren't being treated the way you desire. That can be quite a challenging choice to make when you know you have to work, but in the same time are done feeling mistreated. Thats great that you are looking into pursuing something better for yourself. And its really awesome that you are coming to all of these realizations for yourself. And that you feel yourself "Growing" as you've stated. And despite that you also feel you are stuck in the moment, its even nicer that you feel Great things coming in your direction! Keep up the great work in all the steps that you are doing and taking for yourself.
We are here to support you however we can. And we thank you for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing. Please keep us up to date on how things are going for you.
