** This past week has gone fairly well... I can honestly say I am glad to see the Month of February behind us. I'm ready for warmer weather & temps, Sunnier days, greener grass, & Bluer skies! cool

** I stayed on track again this week... I have goals to meet, and going to keep at them. I kind of had to start over since the New Year when I got off track over the holidays. I don't want to have to keep feeling like I'm "starting over" all the time. So, I've been doing great at staying on track 6 of 7 days a week. Allowing for some moderation in things "one" day a week. I've kept up my workouts, kept up my water intake, continuing to teach Zumba 2-3 days a week , and I've been attending a few local "group fitness" classes as well.... I don't go to those often, but I've been incorporating them more at least 1-2 days a week. Since the weather is so unpredictable, I'm trying to stay on track by making workout app'ts with myself at other places. Once it gets warmer, I can start adding more outdoor walking and some "minor" hiking again as well. My sleep pattern has been some-what better this past week also. I've been averaging at least 7hours. So its getting a little better.yes

**Today is my Rest Day and its also My Son's 23rd Birthday!...However he will be working today, so.. we will have a little party for him on his off day in a few daysheart.......its also my treat day as well, I will be attending yet once again our Local POUND Fitness class so I can burn some calories for the day. Its supposed to be very Sunny here today, So I'm looking forward to that too!.. My goals for the new month ahead are to "honestly" just take "One Day At A Time"... and do the best I can, and am able, while keeping anxiety and any stress levels down, or as low as I can.

I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE'S WEEK HAS GONE WELL~ smiley

Woohoo! Glad to hear that your week has been going well! :D Enjoy the awesome upcoming weather! Hope you continue with water intake, especially for the warmer weather. And that is AWESOME that you're on track with working out- and for so long too! Sounds like you like hiking- are you close to mountains or park trails??

Great to hear your sleep pattern has been better- averaging 7 hours is really good already! What are you aiming for? And happy birthday to your son!!! Ooft, treat day includes some exercise too?! Haha I should probably change my version of treat days... :p I love your goal for the month, and personally, I believe it should be the goal for every month! We can become so harsh on ourselves sometimes, even when things are tougher than usual. Awesome goal, and I hope this month does well to you!! :) xx

Looking forward to Spring. Have been outside in fresh air a lot more. Just the warmth of the sun when walking is very relaxing. Walking a lot and getting more exercise. Have been using an exercise tracker and found out I walk a lot more than I thought. I use to guess how much I walked. Have been keeping to a healthy diet would like to lose another 5 pounds. First 5 pounds lose was easier then the next. Gained 10 pounds over the holidays. I hope by end of March I am back to my normal weight. One goal is to drink more water during the day and walk my 10,000 steps daily. Enjoy your weekend.

Its great that your weather has been so nice for you to walk in!.... We are having some nice sunny days as well, It will be nice when the consecutively stay that way!..

Your story sounds ALOT like mine.. Those holiday calories have surely "crept" in!.. Its so challenging un-doing the damage when it was So easy to do it! lol... Its great that you are making strides and taking off what you put on. And having a "new" tracker will help you to manage that so well. I love mine. I dont know what type of progress I would have without it. It surely keeps me in check. I'm sure yours will do the same for you!

Good luck to you on your water goals, (I know that can be another challenge) I'm working on that too. And I love that you have made some March goals for yourself. Sounds like we have very similiar goals! Best of luck to you, Keep going! It can be done! Enjoy your weekend as well and thanks so much for checking in this week!

It's been a pretty good week here overall, though I'm happy it's finally over. Our country was hit by extremely cold weather, and though the ice skating was fantastic and so much fun, the snow kinda ruined my plans to stay on track with biking and such. That's kind of a bummer. And I gained a bit of weight this week, but hey, it was my birthday last week, I was entitled cheeky

On the positive side of things is that I've been going strong with yoga practise again after a pretty painful knee injury, and my body and mind have been feeling way more relaxed and energized this past week.

I hope everyone else's week was really good! heart

Its great that you had a pretty good week..... sorry to hear that you weren't able to stay on track with your biking due to the weather and that you gained a bit this week. But.. Happy "Belated" Birthday to you! I hope you enjoyed every bit of it!

Also great job on getting the "Yoga" practice in and glad you were able to do well and push past your knee injury. And even greater that your body and mind are feeling more relaxed and energized! Thats always a great thing when we feel good Mentally and physically. It all goes together smiley.

Enjoy your weekend ahead and thanks for checking in this week!

I am sick again :( I thought it was allergies this time, felt a little bad all week, but it ramped up on Thursday evening. Luckily school was closed on Friday. We had crazy strong winds and our power was out for a day. I did not feel well enough for our big hike, but luckily it was postponed due to the wind. I have been spending another weekend drinking tea and resting. Sigh.

So sorry to hear that for you Sad sad I do hope that you finally start to feel better soon... Its surely not fun to have a 'stretch" of ailing little things.....I know you've had your ups and downs with it for a little while now, from your stomach issues and this as well....

On one bright note, I feel its good that your Hiking trip was postponed (even though due to the winds) so that you can allow your body some more time to recouperate more! And hopefully your feel top-notch by the time you plan it again!

Please take care of yourself! Lots of SelfCare!.... And I appreciate that you were able to manage some energy to check in this week. Always glad to hear from you, and to hear how things have been going for you!

How Is everyone doing today!?

It's OK so far! Haven't done much so far, but will be in a few hours! Aside from that, my mood has been OK, a little on the lower side, but I'm hoping to change that hahaha

This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of March! How has everyone's first "partial" week gone so far?

It's been OK! I've been doing A LOT of organising, getting ready for new changes happening in 2 days, and not a lot of exercise or healthy eating... oops about that. I started exercising again properly 27th Feb, but I think I might've went too hard on it and was too sore everywhere to exercise for two days afterwards. Also didn't help that my body decided that it wanted me to feel sick and mess up my emotions and hormones... if you get what I mean! But, I'm hoping to fit in some exercise today, as I've been feeling better now!

Now that March is Upon us, what things are you looking forward to this month? Any Goals or Plans?

I'm looking forward to actually starting living healthier, cooking more healthy food (my mum doesn't cook too healthy haha), tracking my water intake and of course, getting back into exercising! I might join a netball club if I can, but if not, just continue with my pilates, I guess!

What have been the highlights of the past week for you?

Had my friend's birthday party yesterday, and it was great fun! She made a lucky draw for all of us, and I got a pair of cute smiley and winky faces socks! I've actually wanted to buy some cute socks on holiday, but I never ended up doing so. Glad I got some in the end :p and there were so many people at the party that I haven't seen in months, so it was awesome to catch up! It kind of felt like a reunion haha

What plans do you have for the Weekend ahead!?

It's already Sunday for me! But I have tomorrow off too, so it feels like an extra long weekend. Hmm, plans are just to clean up my study room, bedroom and get ready for new beginnings. Research a lot of things on the internet, and I'm hoping to buy some colourful thin-ink pens (specifically, Stabilo point 88 ones hehe) Been looking everywhere but can't find them- maybe the internet can help. Or just buy them online.

What things would YOU like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from YOU!! smiley

Think I've said everything! Hope everyone else's week has been and will be going great, and enjoy the March season! It's Autumn for us now, so I'm not looking forward to that (because it means Winter is coming too soon!!! Eeeeeek)

Hey Rebecca!

Sorry to hear that your mood has been a little on the "lower" side.. I hope that changes for you! Its great however that you are doing A LOT of organizing, & getting ready for new changes! Sounds exciting! lol

Not sure what kind of exercises that you have been doing that made you feel so sore, that does happen from time to time... Especially if a person hasn't worked out in a while~ But it goes away. Perhaps you could do some light "walking" on the days you feel sore or tired from working out. That way you don't have to avoid it altogether. But I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better now.

Its awesome that you are wanting to get back to living a healtheir lifestyle for yourself and joining a netball club or just continue with pilates sounds like a great plan to keep you on track!

It also sounds like you had alot of fun with your friends at that party! Its great to enjoy things like that and to make time for get-togethers and gatherings. I will have one coming up in few days myself to celebrate both my son and my mom's Birthdays.

Also, I hope that you enjoy your day off! And that you have a productive weekend ahead, and also find your "Pens"! lol....

I think its pretty neat how people in different parts of the world have such different weather/seasons. Its crazy to think that not all of us are getting ready to celebrate Spring-time! And that you are actually in the Fall season! So interesting!

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for yousmiley

Thank you! It is exciting and slightly nerve-wracking, but hey, I know everyone is going to be in the same boat as me come Tuesday so should be fine haha I'm going to need a lot of kuck finding those pens...!!! My mood has been better now, mainly due to having to clean haha and I did a bunch of cardio and pilates then got super sore from that. Very true- I think it is because I didn't work out for way too long. Managed to do an hour's worth of pilates today, so I'm super happy about that! Abs need a lot more working on though, I'm so weak in that area now!!

And yeah, it's pretty crazy! And very unrelatable at times, because most people are celebrating spring and summer, whereas here we'r cold and dreary 😂 thanks for the reply :) xx

I did some cardio activities this week. I took some walks, went biking outdoors, and set up my exercise bike to use inside my home. I also did some dancing.

I am aiming to start partaking in strength training exercises 1 day a week.

Next week, my Mom and I will start our exercise classes together.

Hmm.. this week my goal will be to set up a bit of a routine going forward.

My weekly routine is about to change, as I am changing jobs. Going from part time to full time, but 4 days per week instead of 5.

Its going to create a bit of upset in my gym schedule, but I think if I schedule in at least 3-5 classes, my body will still be thanking me.

Weekend will be left for rest time. I'm so thankful for the members and listeners on 7 cups and all the contributions and comments. It really is an extremely helpful and supportive community here.

@GoodPoint

Hey there GoodPoint!

I hope that your job change will be a positive one for you!... I personally like having to work "less" days even if it means I have to work "longer" hours.... I used to work 3 days a week for 12 hours (7p-7a)... I didnt care for the "long" shifts so much, but, its not to bad either when you don't mind the people that you work with or if like the change. So I hope that this is a good thing for you and it all works out!

And its even more awesome that you are already making a plan to stay on track with your workout routine! Way to go! Its great to have a plan and to make one. This will certainly help! Best wishes to you on your goals! Continue to keep up the great work! And thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing!! Keep in touch with us and let us know how things are going with your new changes and your workouts!

I'm feeling a little frustrated with the amount I participated in the Heart Health thing. My expectations and reality certainly were different, but considering the winter we've had I've been doing relatively well although really lacking energy.

This past week I skipped my usual workout so I could do a trip with my sister and nephews. I didn't agree to go until the last minute, concerned about the affect on my health. My husband didn't think it was the best thing for me either. I won't have many chances to do something like this though, and it went pretty well although it did wipe me out. My sister had some visits planned while I just hung out at my parents place, plus they were doing almost all the food prep and cleanup so that allowed me to balance all the play with rest.

@AffyAvo

I can understand you setting certain expectations for yourself regarding the Event, but I'm just really glad that you participated this year! And I wanted to have a wide range of any activity so that "Everyone" could participate this year. Its just great that you were able to find something and felt comfortable enough to join in and take part while also taking care of your health. So you should feel really proud of yourself, and get ready to accept your Healthy Hearts Badge proudly :)

Also, Its great that you were able to take the trip with your sister and nephews. I'm sure that you enjoyed and know when to take it easy on yourself as well and get rest when needed. I can imagine how much you really enjoyed that time with your nephews. I know how important they are to you. Thanks so much for checking in this week and for keep us aware of things have been going for you!

@PoliteOcean I was glad I was able to participate too! I probably would have had at least one more picture of my row machine from home if I didn't go on the trip, but once I knew about it I started to rest up ahead of time. Doing that trip was way more important though and really was worth it! I got to spend lots of time with the youngest I haven't connected with him as much as when out my sister is often relieved to let me run after the older one plus he's looking for that attention. On the trip I got lots of '1 on 1' as much as that happens in a house full of 6 people haha
