**This past week has gone very well... and taking a break for my own Mental Health was what I needed. I'm working towards getting back on track and looking forwards to the Month ahead, as well as the Spring/Summer season ahead~

**I've been back to getting out more and getting in my walk, on my own and with my Furbaby and hubby..... I've been working on increasing that water again. And incorporating more fruits and veggies.

**The weather has been very excellent here the past few weeks....... And its just what I needed... The sunshine is surely a Mood-Improver. And I'm looking forwards to Opening up my Pool again for the season.

**No real plans for the weekend ahead.... but looking forwards to hopefully getting back into my workout routine with more walking and More Zumba time~ As well as spending time with my family~

Hey there Emo, thats good that you were doing okay over this past week. Sounds like maybe things were better for you this week than last week.

How nice that you are looking to play with your new violin. Have you played in the past or is this a new endeavor for you? If new, will you be getting lessons on how to use it and play? Or try to self teach?

Despite the struggling day to day, Thats great that you will be getting the professional help that you need. I think thats very important and what better month to do it than May (Mental health awareness Month). 👍

I like all of your favorite ways to take care of you mental health and well-being.... (I have that same list) 👍

We thank you for the lovely words of Kindness and hugs... We hope that you are doing Ok too Emo! Hugs back~ And thank you for checking in this week. :)

😛 I’m learning to play violin by myself, I don’t even know how to read sheet music which is even more wild 🤡 and more hilarious, I’ve already played a song on it 🤡🤡 (I really need to learn how to read sheet music 😂)

I’m having a good day (: I’m very happy I bought my first music instrument 😊😊😊 and I’ve had my good and bad days, I’m having a good day today which is great 😊

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday I went for a walk. Friday I went grocery shopping and also for a walk. Tuesday I had EMDR. We didn't do any trauma processing, we just talked. EMDR isn't working for me. I may have treatment resistant trauma. I've been in therapy for almost two years and I don't feel any better. My therapist says I suffer from a loss of agency. A sense of agency refers to the feeling of control over actions and their consequences. There could be many forces that contributed to my loss of agency. One is when I worked as a teacher at a Christian high school 28 years ago. The principal had low moral standards. She was a demoralizing person to work for. She was incompetent and didn't know what she was doing. I looked forward my entire life to being in a position of authority and then somebody ruins it. Trauma can be accumulative. A large number of small traumas can have the same impact as one large trauma. I used to work as an office temp. It's a demoralizing way of paying bills. My agency would send me out on jobs I wasn't suitable for. I worked very hard to get my bachelor's degree. Once I got my bachelor's degree, that was supposed to solve all my financial problems for the rest of my life. Going back two weeks ago, I finished my study of II Samuel and started to study the book of Jonah. I'm still hosting the sharing circle. I bought a new book called "Lessons in the Wilderness." I plan on reading it 3 times a week for 15 minutes.

@Regmo

Hey Regmo... Thats good that you are still continuing to keep up with with your walks and was able to get your shopping in. Despite that the EMDR isn't working for you, its good that you now know that its possibly time to move on from it? Have you and your therapist discussed other possible options for you? Trauma can be difficult and challenging to work with. Especially if theres an instance of one not wanting to, or even fearing opening up about it. There can be so many variables for the person when it comes to trauma and trying to treat it. ..... I think however I can think of MANY other jobs that would be much more demoralizing to work at outside of being an office temp. Believe me... My first job could give anyone nightmares. But, being sent out on jobs that one might not be suitable for can surely leave one with some challenging things to deal with and process... Having a bachelor's degree can of course open doors for some. But Sometimes a person may still have to put in alot of extra work to make it work for them too. Up to and including possibly relocating to different areas to have a better chance or shot of better 'placement'. Not sure if that was something you ever did or considered for yourself?.... Good for you for continuing to keep yourself busy with your devotional time & hosting the sharing circle still. What is Lessons in the Wilderness about? Perhaps you will be able to share more about it at your next check-in. Thanks for sharing this week and keeping everyone up to date on how things are continuing to go for you.

This past week has been awful . I have been feeling very overwhelmed and i feel as if there are always double standards all the time. I’m always the one apologising and every time I disagree with someone I am always the selfish one . Its unfair,

**How has the past week gone for you?

Up, down, all around.

**This is our "FIRST" Check-in for the Month of MAY~ What are you expectations for the Month ahead? What are you looking forwards to? What goals would you like to create for yourself?

I expect May to be challengingly complex and circular, with closure at the end. I look forwards to the last week in May. I would like to create non-material goals eg: be forgiving, be graceful, consciously communicate, etc etc..

**MAY Is "MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH"...... In what ways have you been affected personally by Mental Health (whether by yourself or someone you know)?

I have been affected personally by mental health in many ways, and continue to be so; while there’s always positive growth, there is also always more to learn, and the grey area.

**FOR FUN: What is your MOST Favorite way to take care of Your Mental Health and wellbeing?!

Mmmmmmmm taking myself on mini dates are my favourite way of taking care of my mental health.

**What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this past week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

This Past Week

Highlight Reel: mini date #1 - trying a new restaurant and bringing takeout to share.

mini date #2 - trying another new restaurant and buying a new outfit.

mini date #3 - trying ANOTHER new restaurant and eating it in bed.

Struggles and Overcoming: #1 - being foolish so taking time to think

#2 - repeating old negative patterns and being kind to myself anyway

#3 - not listening to my intuition but finding the lesson and blessings within

**What would "YOU" Like to talk about or share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!

I would like to talk about the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and mercury in retrograde, how it may be affecting the different signs and ways to stay grounded, safe and present at this time.
