🍁 This week went well... I continued to stay on track with all my goals. Kept up with all Workouts/Activity/Steps. Slept well for the most part, continuing to get in water (which can be more challenging this time of year), and continuing to stay the course in my goals that I've set for myself.
🌻 The weather has turned (what felt BRUTALLY colder) here this week... But I still stayed on track and course in all my AQUA classes, as well as incorporated some home workouts. I've increased my step goals, and also finally incorporated some weights/strength this week. It felt too frigid for me to be outdoors for long this week, but I did manage to get in several short walks with the "Furbaby". ~
🍂 There's no major plans set for the weekend ahead... But there are various things to catch up on and getting into that "Holiday season" mode. I will be preparing to get holiday decorating started (that didn't happen last weekend or this past week). And also preparing for Thanksgiving Day at my moms with my little family. All the Holiday Festival are in full swing here, so perhaps we'll also hit up one of those too.
@PoliteOcean
This past week has been extremely rough for me. I’ve been processing a devastating break up, how hopelessly broken my family is and has always been, childhood trauma and dwelling on how disadvantaged i’ve been since the day i was born. i’ve been riding on a cloud which has been spiraling into negativity and i think im going crazy. i need help but i can’t afford it right now and im trying to figure out some free or affordable options. so im here. one thing i’ve done for self care was brush my teeth today even though i am feverish and depressed and did not want to get out of bed. i did it because i love that minty feeling after brushing and i knew it would make me feel slightly better. this upcoming week, im gonna focus on: working hard (i need money for rent so it’s not my first choice; my sleep; food; and water. 4 goals, let’s see how i do.
@wholesalecrack
Hi there... We are so happy to have you here at 7cups and joining us here in the Healthy Living Community. It sounds like you have really been going through and dealing with alot, and having a challenging time processing so many various things. Its really great that you are here, and know that we are here to help support you in any way that we can. And we have available listeners here that you can also chat 1-on-1 with 24/7.
I think that despite dealing with so much, that its really awesome that you were able to include some self-care time and was able to manage brushing your teeth. And its good that its not only something that is good for your health, but that its also something that makes you feel better too.
Its also amazing that you are setting some goals for yourself! That is a wonderful first step in coming up with them. And focusing on getting in the simple steps such as sleep, food, and water, is another way to focus on your overall wellbeing (including physical and mental health)!
I think you are doing a great job for yourself. And we can certainly see that you are trying to put a good foot forwards into living better for yourself. Again we are here to support you however we are able! Thank you for stopping by to check in, and introduce yourself. And for telling us about yourself. Please come back weekly to let us know how you are doing and how things are continuing to go for you!
this week I feel short notice my self not feeling like working as much as usual which I work out a lot maybe to much some times it’s how I cycle my negative ugly upset feelings or energy just have not been able to get into it this week .
with that being said I have been able to communicate better this week with my boyfriend less fights ! So yay always makes a week feel so much smoother
struggling with a night time routine with my 18 month old who is strong willed her schedule is upside down which takes away from almost all me time I was able to get when she was going to bed at 9 pm and sleeping through the night so that’s been tough I been negative self talking my self that I’m a bad mom blah blah but I no I’m trying
I have been eating better healthier meals and drinking lots of water so over all 50/50 week
I have alot going on these next two months with the holidays niece birthday and it’s really stressful time for me so my biggest goal for the upcoming weeks will be stay mindful and appreciate my self for all that I do and am able to get done for people family and my self!! Keep my anxiety low and really just feel the joy happiness and be grateful for all I have and for who I have in life today
thank you for reading hope every one crushes there weekly goals and has a great holiday season
@diamondintheROUGH2022
Hi there,.. Its ok to not feel at your best some days. We all go through that from time to time. Sometimes it might just mean that your physical or mental health needs a break from the usual things. And theres nothing wrong with that.
Despite those challenges, its great that you were able to have better communication with a loved one. Communication is key in relationships.
Life with a "toddler" is always interesting.... While its been many years for myself, I surely do remember those days. If you feel that the sleep schedule is getting out of hand, perhaps talking to her pediatrician for some tips could also help. As there could always be various reasons why their sleep schedule is off. But you "both" need your sleep. And it doesn't make for a bad mom (or parent) just because we can't always get them to do what we need them to do. But it takes some time, and practice in getting a good routine down for them. But then we also need to make sure we follow up with it, and continue that routine once we get a good one in place! Good luck and please let us know how that continues to go!
How awesome for you that despite all the struggles, that you have been able to eat better and focus on healthier meals! And getting in that water!! Yay!!!... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!
Yes holidays can be a busy and chaotic time with things, ... the best thing we can do is come up with a schedule for ourselves to help keep us on track, and keep things as simple as we can. Making goals to stay mindful is an awesome start! And I think you have the right idea of keeping anxieties low, and just taking in all the joy and happieness that the season brings, and just feeling grateful for the things you have in your life. Awesome job!
We thank you so much for stopping by to share your week with us and letting us know how things are going. And telling us about your goals and plans. We are here to support you however we are able. And we hope that you continue to keep us up to date on how you are continuing to do.
❄️ How has this past week been for you?
⛄️ I was trying so hard, fighting so brutally and left so often *** and embittered this week.
To rewrite my life story this past week but keep going back and reading the old one, over and over and over again, has been about the most insane experience I've ever had to manage in my whole life.
Learning that my life situation isn't my life isn't going as smoothly as I'd like. And finding the part of me that can access a new story and hang onto it has been some epic, Lord of the Rings saga that I didn't ask for and don't want. And it's not over and there's no end and trying to tolerate this level of suffering and share any part of that at risk of what I'm experiencing being slammed or made harder by others sucks more than the blackest of holes.
And these habits of thought and action are weighing me down. My backpack is full of these rocks - eating disorders, self criticism, fears, doubts. And I'm tired of carrying this weight on my shoulders every day. Taking this backpack off and laying it before me is an exercise in letting go. I resent this backpack, yes. But that's changing because everything in it is me. Everything happens for a reason and I'm exactly where I need to be. So today I'm hoping to take a deep breath in, and on my exhale, gently set this backpack in a cosmic stream to be carried away. To be amazed at the sharpening of senses, the aches and pains suddenly gone, the wonder; had I dreamed the pain and haze all along? The view of life becoming so vibrant, feeling so light, can't seem to stop smiling and sense warmth and accomplishment rushing through me. Only that's not good for business is it?
@PoliteOcean
@Dallady
Hey there~....
Sounds like you have a lot going on emotionally.... and alot of revelations for yourself.
We think its amazing that you have these realizations for yourself and that you are taking off your "backpack" and letting it go! And that you are discovering that you are "where you need to be" in your life. And that you are breathing in some life and breathing out the weight that you've carried on your shoulders. Keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself. Sounds like its working for you.
We appreciate you stopping by to share your week with us and keeping us up to date on how you are doing and how things are continuing to go for you.
@PoliteOcean
Hi, Ocean,
How has this past week been for you? My week has been a rollercoaster as usual.
🌾What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?! I am defending myself with my sister. She has been pressuring me for various things.
🍂 What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU! I'd like to talk about how I am working out my life and I'm not exactly happy with it.
@purpleTree4652
Hey there Tree~ We are Sorry to hear that you had a roller-coaster of a week...
But its great that you have started your new job....and that you were able to learn to say "No" for your own mental health and wellbeing. Sometimes we just have to say "no" for our own health. And its great that you are standing up to her, and standing up for and defending yourself. Sometimes we just have to do that!
🍁 How has this past week been for you?
Same old, same old. But sewing more...moving forward with some of my online courses.
Kept my medical appointment. Talked about a personal problem with my NP. She really listened. Felt great.
@EmbStitcher33
Hey there Stitch!...
Thats great that you are sewing more... (I can do a little bit, my mom is really great at it however). What are you sewing?....How awesome for you that you are moving forwards with some of your online courses. Please let us know how those are continuing to go for you!
Awesome job on keeping up with your medical appointment, and that you felt "heard"! Its great when we have a provider that listens to us and our needs. And provides care accordingly.
@PoliteOcean
Thank you for your kind words. I'm sewing what I call my angel dragons. I love the detail. I'll post some pictures in my hobby journal this week. I'm also working on snow flakes.
Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. I was consistent with my devotional time. I went for a walk 3 times, studied art history and poetry 5 times, and philosophy of art 3 times. Monday night I watched “American Dad” for 2 hours, which I enjoyed a lot. Tuesday I finally filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against the vendor who didn’t issue a refund for my art history book I returned two months ago. Every day it seems like there is something new to get stressed about. Tuesday Amazon locked me out of my account and after much worry they finally let me back in. Wednesday my Obama phone broke but I was able to fix it. The software for my back up hard drive isn’t working. I’m not in the mood to hassle with any more problems now. Thursday my laptop was making funny noises, my browser kept crashing, and we ran out of toilet paper. Finally, late Thursday night, Leslie finally bought some toilet paper. Saturday my electrical outlet in my bedroom was being erratic. I won’t be able to do my devotional, read art history, or read poetry anymore. Furthermore, Leslie doesn’t notify me when meals are ready. I find that to be rude and disrespectful. It causes me emotional distress. Leslie’s assistant Nia has an obnoxious voice and dresses weird. My two new philosophy of art books arrived this past week.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo~ Thats great that you are staying consistent with your devotional time, your studies, and getting those walks in! How awesome for you that you managed to get in 3 for the week! Keep up the great work. How nice that you found a show that you liked and was able to watch it. I'm not sure if I've heard of that one, but will have to look it up. Thats good that you were able to follow up with someone regarding the refund that you didn't receive. Please keep us updated on that and how things continue to go there. I'm interested in seeing how they intend to go forwards with that. Thats good that you were able to get back into your Amazon account after getting locked out. That happened to me years ago too... I just order through someone else now when I want something from them. It also good that you were able to get your phone fixed. Sounds like Thursday was full of lots of little annoying things for you? Thats good though that Leslie followed up and got the toilet paper. Hopefully the electrical issue will be resolved somehow. As far as Leslie not notifying you of meal times, I have to ask is there a "Set meal-time" for everyone?... Or does she notify the others that are in the house too? I'm just curious if she has always notified everyone, or if she expects everyone to just show up for set meal time? If she notifies others and not you, perhaps you might need to speak with her about that? Have you all moved yet? Or are you still in the same place? Thanks for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on things.
Week has been tiring and a little stressed. Glad to relax and bond with family I don't see too often.
