🌞 This past week was well... Last weekend we took an Impromptu Road-trip to the Beach~ It was a really nice getaway, and just what I needed to break up a little day-to-day "Monotony"... We also decided to take a different route getting there than usual, & had a great time sightseeing & visiting shops along the way that we've never been to... It was a peaceful & relaxing drive, along with a peaceful & relaxing trip.~ And the weather was perfectly amazing~ When I see & hear the Ocean waves, all is "Calm in my Soul"~

🌊 Upon my return home, I got back to not only my "usuals" of the week (Work, Early outdoor walking & time with the Pup, Fitness classes) etc.... but I also started some other projects.... Such as Decluttering, Simplifying, & organizing my home-surroundings.... I started "chucking" everything! And it felt really good to do so. My areas feel clean, organized, simpler, & put together which is definitely a good feeling mentally & emotionally~.... I also was able to finish decorating my New outdoor Deck area! Which has me also feeling really good mentally & emotionally (to finally have a nicer & bigger space that was much needed), & to turn it into my personal outdoor oasis for the rest of the Summer & into the Fall when it will still be warm here... Which will also make working & creating from home a little nicer as well~ ... All of the Decluttering & Organizing had me in a better "Head-space" to also start back with my Meal-planning & tracking again (Which I took a minor break from the past couple of weeks while being mindful)... As well, it also helped me to do better with staying on top of Sleep & hydration goals. And I feel better about finishing these last 2 weeks of the month off Stronger & on a good note in my personal goals.~

🏝️ This weekend ahead looks to be a busier one~ I haven't attended any "weekend" Zumba or Fitness classes so far this month, as I've been busier, holiday, traveling etc, etc..... So I've been more mindful in my movement in other ways on weekends by (getting in more mindful steps, as well as Home-workouts).... But This weekend "intentions" are to finally get back to my morning Zumba classes (to get back on track with my weekends).... Then take some of my items from my "Decluttering" session to a Consignment shop & then Donate the rest... & also Look for a new Washer/Dryer set (since mine sadly took a nose-dive this past week)~ Then get ready to embrace the upcoming week ahead as I continue to look forwards to moving through the month in a positive way~

ENJOY THE WEEKEND~

@PoliteOcean I'm writing this early Saturday morning. My life is so much better now that Stuart is gone. Leslie doesn't see herself as being responsible for my safety. Sunday John went to the hospital. He was only there for a short time.  The problem with drinking coconut 🥥 water 💦 is that I don't get any Vitamin C. I haven't eaten any fruit for the past 6 years. I got rid of a bunch of old papers. Monday I got a massage. Tuesday I spent 25 minutes filling out the hardcopy intake forms for my podiatrist. Wednesday I started with my new caretaker Charmaine. I went to the library, did a little grocery shopping and also went for a walk. Thursday I found a great video on how to tell if an article or paper was written by AI. It was really great. Amanda is a stupid person. She made her 5 year old daughter Grace answer the door when my social worker came by. It was a routine visit. She got to see what a filthy mess I live in. She was impressed with how organized I was. Then I went to the doctor. I've lost 18 lbs and my A1C is 5.5. Wow 😳 that's great news on both issues. Friday afternoon the neighbors across the street were playing loud music for 45 minutes. I really hate that. John won't let me close the window. He weighs about 400 lbs. and gets hot easily. I can't ask them to stop. I live in da ghetto and people here don't care about that. Furthermore they would complain to Leslie and she would get mad at me. Leslie doesn't care if I die, I'm nobody to her. She is running a business. It's not her fault I can't live in a better area. I went to the library and then for a walk. I decided to discontinue Charmaine's employment and stick with Gianna. I finished reading "Debating Christian Epistemology". It was very good. I came up with a philosophy book reading plan. I picked 12 philosophers and I'm going to go chronologically. Kierkegaard died when he was only 42. Wow 😳 that's young.  I started to read The Cambridge Guide to Literature and Philosophy.  I'm also reading a book about Maximus the Confessor.  For this upcoming week I have an appointment with a podiatrist on Tuesday.  I've been trying to hit my fungus really hard. I've put medication on it every day for the past 3 weeks. It's definitely going down but it's taking a long time to get there. I want to join a pen pal club but it costs $35. I'm extremely sick of doing nothing with my life. I started writing a travel journal. It's not about places I've been to, but places I would like to go to.

Hey there Regmo~ That’s interesting that you haven’t eaten fruit in such a long time.. Most people I know prefer Fruits over vegetables… if you’re able to get vegetables in, these veggies contain the most Vitamin C, (Bell peppers, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage cauliflower & spinach).., Spinach or kale are great options because you can also blend them into food or smoothies & shakes without tasting them… It’s great for you that you were able to get rid of some old papers, get a massage, get your intake papers completed for the podiatrist, get to the library, a walk, grocery shopping & your books read & completed! Wow, it definitely sounds like a productive week overall for you?.. Hopefully when your social worker came to visit, perhaps she was able to see & catch all the things wrong in the household?! And maybe help?..  Congrats on your weightloss efforts & getting your A1C down! That’s a great range. Hopefully things continue to work with Gianna since you already had to let Charmaine go. And Good job at starting the traveling journal. It’s good to have a focus. And journaling can be therapeutic. Where would you like to travel to the most?! Thanks for checking in to share your week with us and letting us know how you are doing & how things are going. Please continue to keep us updated.

@PoliteOcean You know I can't do my own cooking. Why would you suggest that ?

@Regmo

Im pretty sure I never “suggested” anywhere for you to cook your own food? 🤔

My exact comment was… ( if you’re able to get vegetables in, these veggies contain the most Vitamin C, (Bell peppers, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage cauliflower & spinach).., Spinach or kale are great options because you can also blend them into food or smoothies & shakes without tasting them”)~

**All these veggies can certainly be eaten raw or with seasonings, dressings, or a dip~ 🤷🏻‍♀️

@PoliteOcean

I'm not doing well this morning, barely slept last night. I just can't get past been alone dispite having a loving wife that I can't discuss my inner pain to. No one on the outside to confide in.

Moose Tracks is my favourite ice cream.

Managed to get in 3 gays of walking 3 miles each day. It's seems to be the only thing that helps clear my head and lighten the heavyness in my heart.

@PoliteOcean

Hi, Ocean,

"ONE" Word, how are you doing?.. And how was your week?   Ok, and sleepy

🌊 This is our "3RD" Check-in for this Month... As we continuing moving through these Summer months, lets again, refer back to our "Healthy Summer Bucket List"... What is ONE thing or ONE Health & Wellness Habit that you were able to incorporate for yourself or "Fill your Bucket" with this week?!.... In what way do you feel it Strengthens you "Mentally, Emotionally, or Physically"?!  Well, I'm still studying Hawaiian in case I ever move there as dreamt.  It's not an easy language or Duolingo doesn't present it easily.  rawr  They don't explain why they use certain words at different times, but I guess it's healthy for my mind.  I've also been keeping up with pilates which isn't easy, either.  It's tough physically

🏝️ "PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION".... Have you Ever "Struggled" with this phrase?!... If so, in what ways?... How did you, or do you, find or create "Balance" for yourself?!... And whatever goals you are working on at this time (Big or Small), how do you feel your Progress is going within that particular goal?  I've not heard it put that way.  I've heard that progress, no matter how small, is still progress.  I like it better that way.  I struggle with staying awake.  I sleep a lot.  It feels great unless I have a bad dream, which I had today before I woke up.  No, I'm not really trying to fix the sleep problem because as soon as school starts next month, I'll be trying to get enough sleep.  So I'm cutting myself some slack.  I'm also looking for another job, still.  That is a difficult task.

🌞 JUST FOR FUN: In the Spirit of Summertime, "Sunday July 20th" is "National Ice-cream Day"!... Do you enjoy Ice-cream on occasion in the Summer monthsIf so, what is your Favorite Flavor?!   I love it.  I guess chocolate is my favorite.

🌊 What were your "Highlights or Struggles" of the week?... How were you able to work through your Challenges in a Healthy Way?!  Well, I wish I had people around me who loved me.  I've got pen pals.  Sometimes they are questionable.  I mean sometimes they say things that I'm not sure what they mean.  It could be not a very nice thing to say or it's just lost in the translation.  Another of them doesn't respond to my questions.  I know she has parkinsons so that makes life hard, but might it be that typing is hard and that is why she doesn't respond?  So, it makes me wonder why these ladies act this way toward me.

Hey there Tree~

It’s good that you are doing Ok today, and that your Healthy Summer Bucket list has you working on your continued “Hawaiian Studies”! Living in Hawaii would definitely be a “dream” (for me anyway)!.. I didn’t realize you were doing it through Duolingo?!.. I was thinking of giving that a try myself and was actually looking at the prices.. I wonder if Duolingo is like what you describe with “all” the languages?! 🤔.. But either way, that’s awesome that you are continuing to work on that this summer. Keep up the great work.

As far as Pilates, I know it’s a slower-paced workout, but it definitely requires a lot of body strength! (As with yoga).. Particularly with certain poses & positions.. I used to teach POUND Fitness on a regular basis a few years ago, and there are certain routines where it’s “Pilates based”... It definitely worked my core muscles in ways that have never been worked! lol.. So another wonderful job to you on taking time for yourself to incorporate it into your day & routines.. 👍🏼💪🏼👊🏼

(Progress no matter how small is still progress)…. yes! I’ve absolutely have heard it that way as well… it’s a more updated phrase…. (Progress over perfection), tends to be used when we may start becoming too hard on ourselves, but need to realize that we are making progress nonetheless & don’t have to be perfect! I guess they are both (more or less) meant to mean the same things.... But as long as we are progressing in our goals in whatever manner or however long, we are doing just great. 😊

As far as the sleep matter, my motto is, if you need rest, then you need rest! Lol.. I’m all for resting the body, (mind & soul) when needed! As long as we know why we are doing it, or need it, then that’s all that matters…

As far as the job, I’m sure you are giving it your best go! And something that suits you & what you’re looking for will definitely pop up! Have you ever tried a job locator or agency? Not sure if you have those where you live, but sometimes they can really be beneficial in helping you find what you’re looking for~

Yes it can definitely be challenging to find others that we truly connect with in the way we wish or desire. Have you tried, or do you feel comfortable asking your pen-pals if there are any issues?.. Sometimes we may not know exactly what’s going on until we ask… But even then we may not get the answers we are looking for.... Also it can be even more difficult at times when your “only” communication with others is through “messaging”~ (As I have a few Pen Pals, for lack of better term, myself), so I can understand how some things may get lost a bit in translation at times…. As it’s never quite as good as the “real thing” of being face to face…. I also never quite understood how it can be so difficult for some ppl, and so easy for others, to make & keep lasting or even lifelong friendships & connections… And of course Whether it’s friends or family, it can definitely all be complicated when it comes to relationships & friendships…. I think the more we are able to involve ourselves & interact on a personal level with others face to face, it can also give us a better sense & feeling of purpose & belonging. Whether through (work, classes, clubs, organizations, the gym, etc… etc..). But sometimes that’s not always easy for some ppl either. And sometimes even the older we become, our circles can become & grow much smaller. Which makes it even more important that we have ways to connect with others in some way. And to have that extra support we might need…. Of course 7cups is also a great start for many & a great place to connect when we are feeling a little down, lost, out of place, or sometimes even unloved. Just know that we are here to support you.~

Thank you for checking in to share this week. And for letting us know how you’ve been feeling. Continued best wishes to you on the job search. And continued great job on the healthy efforts that you’ve been putting in! Please continue to keep us updated on how you are doing.~

Yes, I've asked my pen pals if there is a problem (not those words).  One of them with parkinsons has told me that she has to work very hard to stay relaxed.  I can understand that partially.  The result with her is that I am backing away.  I might start to do the same thing with the other person because I feel like she is good at getting sympathy and getting people to walk gingerly around her, and then becomes a little...I dunno.  I can't put my finger on it.
