How do you get the pictures? Maybe a silly question but does the telescope have a camera integrated or are you able to do this with a normal camera, through the telescope?

I got an adapter which you can attach your phone to the eyepiece, it's called NexYZ. It's a more expensive adapter but my phone is quite heavy and I needed something really secure. It's not the best way to take pictures but it also helps that the adapter has fine controls on all 3 axis to get it all lined up.
The whole setup consists of an 8" Dobsonian telescope and a S26 Ultra smartphone attached with a Celestron NexYZ adapter. I used Samsung's Expert RAW app to control exposure and shutter speed to take the photos, then I adjusted the levels in Adobe Lightroom to bring out details.
At some point I plan to get a proper DSLR camera which just attaches directly to the focuser (instead of using an eyepiece) to take better pictures but I think they came out good for smart phone pictures. These types of telescopes are meant more for viewing with your eyes though, actually looking through it the image is so much better.

Yes! The Artemis II mission reminded me of having a telescope as a kid and looking at the moon. So I've spent a couple of weeks doing research and going back and forth on what to get because of it 😆

Thank you! You should get one! You wouldn't believe the clarity and detail you can see by looking through it, a smartphone camera doesn't do it justice. 🔭
