Daily Mindfulness Check-In August 31, 2021

Hello everyone, I hope you are all okay and safe
It’s so easy to accomplish things and never acknowledge the achievements we make or our skills and talents.
What skill, talent or achievements are you proud of and when did you acknowledge them last time by giving yourself a pat on your shoulder or showing gratitude for your skill or talent?

I'm really proud of how much I have progress in my academic career. I've been taking pretty rigorious courses, and there were days when I was struggling. However, I eventually came to the top of my class, and when I told my parents, they were super proud of my achievements!
Hello everyone!! Im Oasis 😇...
I m really new here . I want to answer the above questions 😊...
I have skills like sketching , guitar playing , etc. I really didn't appreciate my talents and skills but if we appreciate our skills mostly and more ... aftermath would be proudness..
I really don't want that .. but I don't mean to be disgraceful to your skills be glad but Remember being proud kills the purity of the gratitude🙃❤
I’m proud of the fact that I learned a foreign language. Unfortunately I don’t use it much but when I’m able to, it all comes back to me.
Haven’t really had any significant achievements in a while, so I have to focus on something small. I am mechanically-inclined and try to fix things if I can.
I have an electric table saw that would not work. I systematically diagnosed the problem and was able to repair the saw by replacing two small parts. The total cost was about $19.
@UberRuminator
Being able to repair things is not only very helpful but also saves a lot of time (for going to repair shop) and money!
That was an awesome job with yoru electric saw btw, you would surely have paid much more in a workshop.
hmmm,
i actually am very proud of this: I have struggeled with my mental health most of my life. I decided to to really work on improving it. I recently have come back to 7cups - tarted off as a walk down memory lane, but you know how it goes...7cups is so addictive, hahahah- and in coming back was able to see my journey and all I have overcome and in the ways I have changed my perspective and how much better life is. This was the hardest thing I have ever done.
So yeah, just recently I have really appreciated this and have given myself a great big pat on the back <3
I struggle a lot with my worth lately but I'm actually really proud of how much I know about my special interests, I want to work with disabled people and I would be great at it if given the chance.
Ahhhhaaa now this post is something we all needed to do a reality check on and give ourselves a self pat.
I am aware of my special skills, silently yet solidly. Lately especially during the Pandemic I started using them more often than ever.
These are my communicative, public speaking, counselling and writing skills. More and more people are appreciating them too, which urges me to use them with more passion for the benefit of others. I even appeared on a Netherlands radio channel as chief guest which was very satisfying and was very well received.

I'm proud of the Skills & Talent that I have as a dancer, and that I have been able to take that passion and Instruct ZUMBA over the past 10 years (While also training more fitness achievements over that time)! But Zumba was my "Gateway" into Health and Fitness... And that I have actually achieved being able to lead and instruct and motivate and inspire others in this Fitness field for so long! Even throughout times of the pandemic when taking my classes outdoors to socially distance in the fresh air! That I was able to see it, and have a vision for it, and that it worked at what was a rather crazy, different and unknown time.
Also, I'm proud of my Achievement of Not only being what I feel is a Fantastic Mother!... BUT, also making it through Nursing School & passing the State boards 17yrs ago and being a Nurse and maintaining that license for so long. They both were two of the more challenging and yet most rewarding things that I accomplished in life.

colouring
@greenYard2803
Seems you're a creative person. I find colouring very relaxing.
@amiablePeace77 Thanks. What do you like to colour
@greenYard2803
I do paint sometimes, mainly forests but I also use online colouring app.

My work in a leadership role has helped me help others and expanded my vision of what is possible in the second half of life.
@soulsings
You're an inspiration to everyone here! The second part of our lives can be a golden age despite all the obstacles in my opinion.
