Journaling is a great way to work through your problems by letting your mind flow through your writing. It helps you see things around you better so you can attend to them properly.

@777Bre777

HI Bre good to see you here! Aahhh yes writing on problems does allow the brain to work things out. Also it brings attention to the things you need to see so you can be productive. I really liked what you shared-thank you❤️

Naps are nice. Especially if you've been thinking too much. ^^

HI Dreams good to see you. O yes on those lovely naps. Naps can rejuvenate our bodies and minds to continue on our day. Thank you for sharing❤️

@cafedaydreams Hi Cafe, aah naps! True! I almost forgot about it. We had a thing back in the university that when you are so tired from studying, just take a nap and you'll get better chances in the exams. Sometimes, we just need a much-warranted break.

@amiablePeace77

Good morning Ami and thank you for this check in today! For me well......

I have a mixture to make it right for me. 1. ignore 2. own my powerlessness or my willingness 3. Patience 4. Just move forward and do not get stuck

With all these played together normally I do not have issues. But I too have some bad days❤️

@RumpleSteeleSkin

Thanks for all the answering of the posts you did here Rumple.

We all have bad days but I think the most important thing is like you said not getting stuck and moving on.

@amiablePeace77 mine would be either writing or spending time with animals <3 sometimes when you're feeling such intense emotions and you put a pen to some paper, you can just write your heart out and express all your feelings like you'd never be able to any other way :) spending time with animals is also really nice ! it is so therapeutic just being around them. sometimes, it really does feel like they understand you and they are so good at sensing emotions.

@rrretsuko I agree with you! What animals do you love spending time with? I remember when I was sick last week, my dogs and cat would not leave me and even hug me. They are indeed therapeutic. :)

@amiablePeace77 when my attention strays and gets caught in thoughts and emotions and I realize it, I gently bring it back to my breath and the senses.

@soulsings, it is amazing how breathing can help us refocus. :)

@crang17 I agree. And breathing is always with us in this life so we do not have to look far away to find comfort and reassurance.

Good point soulsings, I believe the best comfort and reassurance comes from within.

I’ve recently started breathing exercises when I’m stressed or anxious and it’s helped a lot :)

@amiablePeace77 for me, it would be deep breathing and reaching out to people I trust. Sometimes, I just need someone to listen to me and that works magic. :) How about you?

@crang17

Having someone to talk whom you can trust is priceless for sure.

When things get too rough for me I always focus on "No matter what happens, I focus on moving on". We always have alternatives in life. So my coping tool in general are my mantras.

If you would have to share one coping tool to deal with challenges in general, what would it be and why? Analyze Mind to the issue and the severity of it, use our Wise Mind to honestly reevaluate the issue then work out a solution that leads to the least opposition. Or that fits best to my Values.

Working out a solution always pays off in my opinion scarlet.

The STOP skill - Stop (pause), Take a breath, Observe what's happening, then Proceed.

amiablePeace77 OP January 24th, 2022

@onwardforevenmore

STOP is a great coping skill indeed! Recently I had a situation where I must say it did save me a lot of worries and possible trouble just by not reacting but responding mindfully, how about you?
