Thank you for the questions!
I think it's gotten easier to be joyful without forcing myself to feel that way
This past week, my friends have brought me a lot of joy unintentionally :)
@amiablePeace77
Happiness and joyfulness are our very nature so they come to us from within.
Yes, sometimes we do need to act mindfully to enhance or bring them out. I did exactly this last week to spread joyfulness on a forum of elderly people. To drive away the Pandemic blues played a ful game on Zoom which

@RideaRainbow
You're very compassionate to help others to find joy
and yes to zoom games and beating the pandemic blues! ![]()

Feel glad, happy, and good for others. Do not feel those things for self and it is ok and normal. Just want to make others feel good and be alright and that is good. can not remembe if any more questions or not
Hi. This is so relevant for me today. I do sometimes forget to find joy in the other things around me. Sometimes I remember. I've had a lot of joy in the last week. Sometimes joy found me. Sometimes I made a choice to put aside what was bothering me, or I was able to talk myself down from it, and then later I realized I felt joyful about other things.
@shellofashell
Great that you're able to talk you out of unhelpful thoughts. Have you ever considered to write down everything that gives you joy, either every evening or just making a "Joyful events list" ?

Is it easy for you to be joyful or do you feel that you need to learn to feel joy no matter what is happening around you?
When I get out of the way being joyful comes naturally. When I am worried about the future or the past joy is nowhere to be found.
What gave you joy in the last week and did you seek for it intentionally?
Doing a jigsaw puzzle is like creating a painting piece by piece. It helps me focus on something besides the story in my head.

Is it easy for you to be joyful or do you feel that you need to learn to feel joy no matter what is happening around you?
- It's definitely not easy for me to be joyful, but there are a few things that do bring me joy naturally, and other than that I have to work to curate joy in my life I think, doing things I enjoy, etc.
What gave you joy in the last week and did you seek for it intentionally?
- I really was joyful after doing a painting of a tree (and I struggle with trees) and it actually came out really good! Seeing it made me feel happy :) I did somewhat seek it out because I know overall painting helps improve my mood a little bit, it is satisfying to me, and I paint multiple things and usually there's at least one thing I like from the bunch.
@Solome24
I like that you accept that joy does not come easy to you (wish though it would be different) and do things which create joy for you ![]()
Nice that painting helps you to feel good, I find it's a great way to express yourself and can be very healing. What concerns painting trees I totally relate since I mostly paint (out of despair
) palm trees
. This is a link for a video How to paint trees realistically https://youtu.be/HMcpPgzjUAI. Hope it helps.

Is it easy for you to be joyful or do you feel that you need to learn to feel joy no matter what is happening around you?
I think it's more about practice than learning. We already have learned many times through first hand experience that joy lies in the present moment. But we are yet to practice to be in it.
What gave you joy in the last week and did you seek for it intentionally?
Me nephews
They are always a welcome distraction.
