Something I find incredibly soothing is painting, particularly forests. It gives me such pleasure to see how the green and earthy colors fill the page.

I find cake decorating to be a soothing experience. I love taking a plain cake I've just baked and turning it into something beautiful. I find the concentration it takes to do this slows my breathing down, increases my concentration, and gives me a sense of peace and tranquility. An added bonus is the fact that the person who receives this is so appreciative of it that I also get a feeling of happiness that I can make someone's day.❤️

Reading poetry is quite soothing to me, especially nature writing.
Also baking! I did that a lot in college as a way to not be so stressed. Mostly cookies and little pastry desserts.
Also, that's nice that you paint. What types of paint do you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Nice that you can relax with baking, I too find that for example kneading a dough is very soothing.
I used to paint with oil but found it quite difficult so gouache or mostly water colors now.

What activity do you find most soothing?.......Being near the Water!.. (Whether its swimming, Lounging in my Pool, gazing at the Ocean, Sitting Lakeside, Boating).... This is what I finds soothes the soul~

i like to look at my Polaroid pictures. (From a very old camera). The colours are turning out different in each picture. It is so interesting. Its about light. They like a lot of sun light. I love them a lot But its a bit expensive.

I do cross stitch, and am making a sampler for my late partner's great niece. It's a nice way to celebrate her birth and a nice way for her to learn about her great uncle when her parents tell her who stitched it.
