It used to be when it is over! lol
Now I try to set an intention so that I will do the job whether washing dishes or mowing the lawn or shoveling snow as a gift to the household. It helps to feel I am being of service.

I had 13 inches two weeks ago and it melted. The other day I had 5 inches. But not snowmen this year to cold for the snow to make balls.
How about you TIny, any snow?
@soulsings oh wow! That's a lot of snow😍😍😍 your so lucky, and probably cold. Gives you a warm pink unicorn blanket. No snow here yet, although the temperature in some parts of the UK has dropped to minus 18 degrees

The favorite part of my job is getting to know my clients so I know where to start things off. I know many people seeking therapy, including myself, sometimes need a little nudge to get things going. I’m more than happy to nudge toward what the client is expressing.
Another part of my job that I love is that I seem to learn from my clients quite a bit.
After all, therapy is just two people talking.

You seem to care about your clients and truly want to understand them well! Some people need a little push to open up.
I find little joy in most things, including the tedium tasks required to stay alive. They feel like herculean efforts to accomplish and, since I live in an abusive environment and have disabilities, I don't feel safe at home and can't work outside of the home. About the only thing that doing chores accomplishes and perhaps being free of abuse for a short period of time. But that's no guarantee, unfortunately.
Perhaps the only thing that might bring pleasure is the music I use to block out the abusive person, and feeling the warm soapy water on my hands when doing dishes.

I'm very sorry to hear that your living conditions are rough and you don't feel safe at home. Is there any place you can go when needed like staying with a relative or friend and do you have a support network irl? Please reach out - abuse is not something we need to accept! 💙

I have some really great co-workers and we work really well together. Even when the work stinks, all of us together have a fantastic time together. It's very uplifting, especially when I'm having a bad day.

It was my first day back at a place where I loved to work yesterday, it was a beautiful reminder of why I was there so long.
The community I have in the work place is really amazing. You know, a lot of us are going through hardships in our life but we keep going and we encourage each other to keep going. It’s like another safe place to express ourselves freely without judgement. People who really care, not just co-workers. Speaking to people every day while working makes the day go by so much faster. Passionate, encouraging, positive people.
It really is just what I needed, especially with everything that I am going through. I’d rather be at work than be in this house being treated like a slave.
