Journaling about my life has helped me to feel a lot more confident and comfortable, I’ve been doing it a lot more lately :)
@infiniteforever12 that is a wonderful way to process what is going on with your life.
What has helped me has been an app thats been providing insights and mini calmness/mindfulness games and my many many self help books. I can just look at myself now and be proud of who I am as a person, a wife and mother

What activity recently helped you feel most comfortable with yourself and your life?
The activity that has helped me feel most comfortable with myself is coloring. I like to color on my phone or on paper. I find coloring calming and relaxing since you get to take your time and watch the picture get colored in.
@lovingRainbows2088
I love coloring books as well! Great stress relief!
Sewing to make my own apparel!
@dreambiscuit that sounds economical as well as a wonderful hobby.
@amiablePeace77 I got back into a woodworking project this week. I think it was the combination of being outside and doing something creative that helped. I always seem to feel a little better when I do something artsy and can get out of my thoughts.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas
Good to hear that you picked up again what helps you! I believe art and craft are wonderful ways to engage your mind and express yourself too. What was one of your favorite projects so far?
@amiablePeace77 Thank you! It was a while ago, but my favorite was a pastel drawing of one of my dogs when she was a puppy. :)
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas
Awww, that must have been a beautiful picture but I could imagine it was hard to keep her still or did you paint from a picture?
If you still have that picture you can show it here

@amiablePeace77 Oh definitely a picture! She is a few years older now. :)
I hope you won’t be offended, but I probably won’t want to post any pictures. I don’t know if any people I know use this website, so I don’t want to be recognized. Thank you for letting me know about it though!
@amiablePeace77 My haven these days has been peaceful hours in the outdoors. I can feel myself coming back to myself when I listen to the calming sounds of birds, the soft hum of the wind, and the rustle of leaves. The simplicity of nature always serves as a reminder to me to live in the now and take solace in its beauty💕
@intuitiveHickory85
I hope you get out often to enjoy nature and do something for your well-being!
@amiablePeace77 Thank you so much!!
@amiablePeace77 Nature has a wonderful way of rejuvenating the soul. Taking moments to connect with the outdoors is a cherished part of my routine. How about you? Any favorite outdoor activities or places you enjoy for your well-being?
@intuitiveHickory85
I love spending time in my garden to connect with the plants and feel the fresh breeze touching my skin but I also take walks and if possible in a park or at the seaside.
@amiablePeace77 That sounds fantastic! Whether it's in the garden or on an outing, spending time in nature can truly revitalize oneself. Feeling at ease and content is enhanced by the crisp air, gentle wind, and stunning surroundings. I think it's great that you value these quiet times. Continue to savor those lovely outside times🌷
Just recently I started thinking about a life journal focusing on my childhood and my unmet needs. Then looking at how it has affected my adult life. Just thinking about it has really had me thinking deeper about my daily decisions. I will start my journal tonight but with much more clarity than when I first thought about journaling.
@anonyTortoise3336 I am glad you are thinking of doing a journal. They really helped me.
I did ont for a long time. The problem I got into was when I first started I only looked at what went wrong. Later in life as my parents aged and died, I realized how much they had to do just to keep me alive. My grandmother was a lot nicer to me and it has taken so long to express my gratitude. I was fortunate to be able to express that to epople while still alive. That has made the process of letting go of loss easier than it otherwise would have been.
All the best

I was just thinking about this the other day. How I focus so much on the negative in the journal. I am trying now to have a positive for every negative. Looking for things to be grateful for. If it is negative about a person I try to find a redeeming quality or a fond memory.
@anonyTortoise3336 wow that is a good strategy. I like that!
