Daily Check-In September 5th to September 7th 2025

Mental health is particularly significant during periods of stress, depression, major life transitions, or when individuals encounter daily challenges. Such circumstances can lead to racing thoughts and heightened anxiety.
Prioritizing tasks helps individuals manage responsibilities, reduce stress, and maintain efficiency. Effective coping strategies are essential for navigating challenging periods.
Mental health is the foundation of our well-being, shaping our emotional, cognitive, and social functioning. It influences every part of life, from relationships to our sense of calm. The symptoms of mental health can be “invisible” in our world.
Mental health can affect the following:
our self-worth and self-esteem
How we socialize with others
What is the meaning of life, and what are our values?
How we remember things and how we problem-solve them
our physical well-being

Mental health will impact our cognitive processes, how we think, and memorize something important. We need to have a clearer mind so we can solve what is wrong with us. We can begin to concentrate and make the right decisions.
Mental health not only matters to our brain, but our whole body.  When we are stressed out or confused about something, our heartbeat gets faster, we begin to sweat, or our body shakes, we begin to have trouble sleeping, are always tired.
We change things in our lives to have a better life. We can begin eating healthier, exercising more, doing mindfulness and meditation, and journal writing our thoughts and feelings. When we begin to be nicer to ourselves, we can live life without any problems.

How can you be nicer to yourself?
What activities can you do to calm your racing thoughts?

I can stop being a perfectionist!

Stop trying to do everything.

Stop trying to be all things to all people.

Prioritise me.

Have a long bubble bath!

Plenty of ice cream 😁

Rest!

Great post! I think i figured out the importance of self care the hard way.

I always did the meditations, the yoga, the Journaling ir basically anything only when i was feeling okay. But i was forgetting i needed those especially in my low moments. When i figured this out and pushed myself a little to get used to do them daily no matter what, my mental state improved significantly 💚

@daydreammemories

funny you say this. I do the opposite. I do them when I’m low. I need to practice every day as well ❤️

How can you be nicer to yourself?

we can be nice to self by resting when we need to not over doing it as we do a lot due to our physical  and mental health we get tired and well hurt more when we over do it sadly others in our life not get that so push us to do things that we  should not do so to be nice to self we need to set boundaries  a lot just to stay both mentally stable too the Fibromyalgia  and to types of neuropathy   can limit us a lot physically  and the  trauma  to our heal repeatedly has effected  so much our mental health so we believe to be nice to self we need to say no at times

What activities can you do to calm your racing thoughts?
we us it not racing thoughts a  lot of the time it more memory issues and feeling lost in them  not understood a lot of the time so the thoughts we deal with a lot is more like put downs that our abusers and others used then we end up cycling  in nagitive thoughts we learned from a therapist to like in mind  put up stop sign and the to calm talk to self about the positive thing we have also  things we do well this most the time calms our thoughts

Great post, our mental health is the simplest thing that can keep us from completing our tasks. Taking care of it is the best gift we can give ourselves.

My thoughts have been racing so much lately I try to calm them but it’s like that’s only making it worse and that I need to go ahead and leave it to make all the noise and trouble that it wants. I closed my eyes and fell to sleep and forgot to open them and got caught in a nightmare that now haunts me with my eyes open and everyday I walk as a zombie who Moans all my feelings away and no matter how much of me I gave before becoming a zombie I feel even more alive as I walk as a zombie and felt so dead inside when I was a zombie why does my skin feel so warm and alive when I walk in true form. Do I need help or do I need to close my eyes and sleep again. What can I do how do I feel like this?
