Mindfulness Daily Check-In November 27, 2017

Hello mindfulness friends
So when you are feeling sick- who wants to be mindful- not me
haha just turn off all lights, no noise and give me plenty of boxes of tissues along with putting up me being a baby
Can anyone connect with me on that thought?
Even being sick or down with symptoms of mental health we can still be mindful. Maybe not like our regular routine, but it's there still. So let's see some ways we still can be mindful feeling sick.
**Eat and drink things which are good for your body during times of illness. Some of my go-tos include soup with veggies, plenty of water
**Do body scans to find where pain is located in your body so you can take care of it with a massage, hot water bottle, or gentle stretches
**Have family/friends you feel comfortable around check in on you and maybe help you with cerain things
What are some other ways you can be mindful when you are sick or down? Please share here with us all

apart from the things you already mentioned i always take ginger when sick. i believe everybody has something which does "miracles", ginger does it too me. also i like that my husband pampers me or one of my very close gfs overseas sends me hugs.sleep.
emotionally down - sleep is the first thing for me, meditation which encourages me to let feelings out (crying) followed by motivational videos, then exercising, when feeling better a healthy treat or something else as reward.
@amiablePeace77
HIya Peace glad you are in check-in today
So ginger, getting pampered, and some awesome hugs, sleep meditation and some motivational messages/vidoes will help with being sick or down. Ok well I'm gonna go shopping for all these things
Now to get a big hug elephant style-lol. Thank you for sharing this with us!
@RumpleSteeleSkin
gooooooooooot it, feels good, thanks
@RumpleSteeleSkin drinking hot ginger tea helps me warm up inside. Finding comfort is often the first step for me. So I find a "safe" place where I can take comfort and nurture myself, not judge what I did wrong, but focus on what I can do to move a step closer to health.
@soulsings
Hi Souls nice to see you in check-in
I just picked up some ginger and gonna try a hot cup before bed. That is great to look for comfort in any way.
@RumpleSteeleSkin May sound simple, but just ALLOWING myself to rest is key. Being aware is good. Listening and responding to what I need is the next step. Thanks for the prompt!
@RumpleSteeleSkin
Yay Rumple. Amazing check in. Thank you
When I feel sick, one thing I keep telling myself is "I'm not sick at all." It allows me to not feel too low and help to get recover at the earliest.
Secondly, I try to do the routine stuffs which I could to keep me on track even though if its just little efforts. Like reading a book (either course one or any other from my personal list).
But, one thing I like is my parents extra pampering and care.
@ASilentObserver
Hi Silennt nice seeing you
I also try the "no way I'm not sick" but it doesn't work IM SICK lol. I also understand the importance of feeding that healthiness to yourself cause while sick you really can go deep in the dark. I'm happy to hear that your family gives you that extra attention
@RumpleSteeleSkin
Hugs!
@ASilentObserver
aawwwww
