walking on my secret road behind the entire town. Hardly anybody ever uses it, so it's just a perfect place to enjoy the moment.

@ASilentObserver

When I go for a walk! Sometimes I don't take my phone or headphones so it's just me and my dog who comes too. I always try and look around and see if I can spot something new; and without my headphones I get to try and listen to whatever's around - whether it's a car passing by or a bird in the sky! (Ha, rhymes).

I like photography too so I think this is a great way to help me be a bit more mindful; what would make a good photo here - what's different and unique? Helps me stay in the moment.

I feel mindful when I know I have a situation where my anxiety will heighten coming up and I prepare before hand ways to cope on the spot and to maintain general calmness

@Anxietybeetle120 I appreciate that Beetle. Recognising your emotion and picking some coping mechanism to deal with it is really a wonderful way to be mindful! Keep doing good.

I try to pratice a grounding technique that I learned while inpatient recently in which the 5 senses are used, 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you could touch, 2 things you could smell, and one thing you could taste. It works for temporary distraction from anxiety, dissociating, and negative thinking

by praticing yoga, almost daily. It helps to keep me grounded and aware of the work my body is doing. It reminds me to take my time and do what is best for my body.

@lovingWater5865 I love yoga. I try to start as soon as the kinks get out of my body in the morning. It sets a great tone for the day!

Today I am observing my fear without holding onto it or judging it.

I am simply observing and then letting go and moving forward anyways.

I am also meditating in the morning ( because I woke up fearful).

Meditating in the evening ( to end the day right)....

and fillout out thought log sheets this morning to correct my way of thinking so it reflects reality and not my emotions.

take some time to focus on the songs I am listening to. How well the songs are structured, which instruments are used in the songs, is there anything special about the vocals, any interesting wordings in the lyrics, etc. That's how I remind myself to live in the present
