Small Beginnings for Big Ideas!

We all start with the smaller steps. While SMART goal setting involves ensuring our goals are framed for achievement, the small steps and milestones matter too.
What is one big idea/achievement that you experienced after a smaller beginning?
It isn't much as I am just starting but I have been able to sit alone be myself without getting anxious and crying from it! I haven't had to bad feelings from stress that has happened resently at all today, I'm happy I can do this right now. I've resourced some therapys that would be of help me and I'm happy there is something to help with overthinking way to much!
I love this! 😍

Someone really broke me, and I still loved them with the little pieces of my heart. Letting them go was something small that helped me develop self confidence and realization that I don't need someone to tell me I'm amazing to believe it. Self love is real, and it's a journey, but it's small things like complimenting yourself and/or others that builds up to being able to love others. <3
That’s really amazing
happy for you ☺️
One big idea or achievement I wanted or had was to not be broke anymore, no longer be in relationships with people I didn't like and to be rich and have the survival struggle of living paycheck to paycheck and paying 50% of my income to my rent BEGONE.
I now, as of a few days ago have completed that journey. My rent is now 1/3 of my income and I'm saving at least 10% of my income in various accounts such as fun, financial freedom, giving and essentials. I also met someone recently. There are still challenges.

I like setting work/career goals. Something that I did recently is I decided to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). I completed a 1 month program. I did well. As soon as I finished the program I took the state exam and passed. I have been working as a CNA and making more money for the past year. My next goal is to take my state real estate exam and become a real estate agent and hopefully make even more money so I can support myself and my family the way I want to.
I don’t know big achievement after small beginnings can learn big achievement another time maybe it happens !

@SoulfullyAButterfly thank you !!
I started DJing for fun in my friend’s basement and now, 7 years later, I’m going to West Virginia to perform for 2,000 people. The thing I’ve accomplished is building a small business 🙂
When I was a 27yo and jobless, I volunteered at an event promoting medical knowledge. They paired me with a man about 10 years older than me (just for perspective), named Peter. We were tasked to make sure the sessions in our room ran on time and the AV worked. He was a bit quite, but we did talk some, and I did share that I was looking for a job in clinical research. About a week later I got a call from a person saying they were Dr. G’s administrative support. I was clueless. They said “the man you volunteered with?” I had no idea he was a Dr. They went on to tell me that Dr G would like to meet with me to discuss a job opening to be his clinical research coordinator. My jaw was on the floor. I don’t remember the rest of the conversation, I met with him the next week, we talked about the importance of volunteering in our community. He said he appreciated how I made no assumptions about him and was genuinely interested in him as a person (a complement I will never forget). Then he offered me a job. I stayed there 15 years. I then went on to manage clinical research and now work in clinical research quality assurance where I make sure the research volunteers are protected (per law!!)
Never doubt kindness. It will very rarely hurt, and may change your life. ❤️❤️❤️ Be kind to yourself and others.

Little steps, little steps, yes yes yes!
I struggled with this, probably still do, wanting to be there, already.
The little step that led to big changes for me was the decision to "do it differently" for things I wanted to change. It freed me up from the permanent life rule of "must do it right". It allowed to to start forgiving myself for "doing it wrong", because I wasn't even trying to do it right. And it led me on a path to self validation because I could be proud of myself for doing something differently, even if it didn't turn out right.
@Clio9876 love this perspective! What matters is that you take many unique steps and do your best to find the pathway that feels ok in the moment.
@SoulfullyAButterfly thanks for this. It means a lot.
