Soft, Not Fragile! 🌸
This probably is the first time I’m sharing my poem here and it feels nerve-wracking lol (omigossshhhh people who have done this before, I have sooooo much more admiration for you right now, y’all are such great writers and have a wonderful way to express your thoughts and emotions in a poetic way~ I appreciate youuuu). 🥹💛
I don’t find myself super good at this but I’ll focus more on the “feeling” and the “intention” here than how the actual poem turned out hehe! 😭 Dunno if this even counts as one haha!
(Intention- to make at least one person feel less alone, and more seen, if they can resonate with the contained emotion🫂)
Smh here we go! 🥲
Soft doesn’t mean fragile
it means choosing love anyway
it means noticing the moon
and still believing in better days
soft is strength in stillness
hope wrapped in skin
and no matter what the world says
your softness will always win
it means crying without shame
and still showing up the next day
it means holding space for others
even when you’re not okay
it means dreaming despite doubt
and forgiving without being asked
it means staying kind in a world
that forgets how to unmask
soft is not weakness
it’s a quiet rebellion in bloom
it’s planting peace in chaos
and letting gentleness resume
so when they call you too sensitive
or say you feel too much
remember: softness is your superpower
not everyone can touch
for the ones who still believe love is stronger (it is)
And by someone who chooses softness anyway. ☀️💛
Our world glorifies strength too much, I feel, but I hope every soft soul knows that there’s immense strength in carrying their grace gently and it’s courageous to hold onto your softness, when the world has done its best to harden your grit, especially when. 🫂
Our world needs more of this, more softness, more gentleness, more grace. You add to the world more than you can imagine by being your authentic self! 💛
Be gentle with yourself and those around you~ when life demands us to be stronger, it’s this quiet compassion that fuels our drive I feel. 🌸

I like writing but it’s usually more in essays or paragraph form, I don’t find myself v good at poems hehe but I do sometimes write in my journal, and wanted to share this one with everyone here!
So with poems, I don’t feel I have a “poetic” knack yet but I love being able to express myself through words. 🥰
How do I write it?
I think for me, I’m usually fixated on a central theme, or sometimes even a word or an idea on which I want to express my thoughts/ feelings about, for poems I just try a little bit for the words to flow a little more poetically maybe, sometimes it rhymes well and sometimes it doesn’t but still makes sense to me so that’s what matters I guess. 🤗💖

I have started writing in a journal every night or if I have thoughts that need to get out.
I wrote one poem with a prompt to to help me out 🫣
When I have an idea or something I have to do, writing comes easily. You’ve inspired me a bit with asking this question. I’m a creative person but I think I have trouble with writing unless it’s task oriented.

Expressing should be free-flowing, I believe, sometimes our own hesitations and consciousness can come across as an obstacle but I’m incredibly proud of you for trying! 🤗

I had been wondering recently about you Sunshine. Came upon your profile to see your activity and I feel so blessed and grateful at this moment in my life that I came across this gorgeous piece of poetry💖Do you have any idea how soulfully you have written this down.

Magnanimous people are those who are real, raw and operate from the mess not from the mountaintop. Your words show your power in your rawness. And I strongly believe that there's nothing more courageous than this.”~ The reason why I was nervous was partly because I actually do not think I was good at making words like a poem lol and the other reason was that, my words are immensely personal to me, because they aren’t just words for me, they are literally what I think and how I feel penned down hehe so sharing it would put me in a very vulnerable place emotionally, and when it’s more “public” the “exploration” feels more “publicly-seen” too~ you’ve nailed it with this one, it’s a part of self-exploration and I’m only grateful I could do it with such encouraging and uplifting people like you all here. 🥹💖

The Sunshine leaves me with wide smiles and deeply heart-touching moments💖You know you are a very special being here, despite being so far, your presence makes me feel better everytime I interact with you. And more than that, it's just you that's it, you are there is all the world needs. Just there as you are right as you are.
It means the world to me to know that I could make you feel good about yourself. Added, what you said about being nervous to share your words, I can completely understand you but you know, Vulnerability is the core of human connections and that is what makes us humans at the least. I am really really so proud of you for having the guts to state yourself here because believe me, rare are people like Sunshine.

It's so rightly pointed out that, in a world that wants to mask us to be soft because of being in survival mode, we need not do that because our softness is our strength.
