I'm here to help manage my anxiety and depression. I have no one IRL to talk to, so i feel it's been helping a lot already

Hi, I'm Sasha. I'm new here and am still learning my way around the site. I'm a 49yo mom of two adult sons who are 11 weeks apart in age. My 25yo son and I have a relationship unlike any other - he and I are horrible to each other and honestly, that man has been challenging every word out of my mouth since before he could fully form sentences. Every other kid believed their mother because mommy said so, but not my son. He wanted to know where I got my information from, how exactly did I know, and after I gave him my credentials (I had to tell a five year old that I had a college degree and 24 years life experience, THAT'S how I knew what I was talking about), he STILL didn't believe me. He got to 16 and got a little crazy and by 19 was using and selling drugs out of my house. I had to kick him out. Even after not living with me, he still cannot be around me and be respectful to me. I feel responsible because I raised them by myself since my youngest was 18 months old, so I never had anyone to give me a chance to check myself. I don't know if I did it right, and seeing him now, I don't think I did a lot of things right. He has anger management issues and informed me the other day that he has mother issues. The last thing he said to me was that I had betrayed him. As his mother, if that's how he feels, then who am I to tell him he can feel any different? So that's my deal - if anyone has an adult child that treats them like absolute dog crap BECAUSE they know you will not abandon them, please chime in.

Hey SillyBird! I'm sorry it took me an entire year to reply to your message, it was off to a rough start but my time here on 7cups has been pretty awesome, there are a lot of really good listeners on here, the ones im currently talking to are just absolutely amazing and they've been a really big help 😊 (sorry again for the late reply i don't get into the community section much, I really just focus on my 1-1)
Hi everyone. I signed up a while ago but realised I hadn’t made an intro post. I’m calmTangerine8372 and came to 7 Cups whilst going through a lot and having a lot of anxiety and stress as a result. Things are a lot better and life is settling again, but it’s still up and down. Good and bad days. But it’s good to have a supportive place to be able to turn to. ☺️
