Being in love with two people at the same time?

I am in a happy relationship with my now partner but still seem to care and have feelings for my ex. When I was with my ex, the same thing happened. I can’t seem to just focus on one person and it is hurting me, because eventually, if I do something about it, it will hurt both of them.

Sounds like a compromising situation.

You're right actually, it is needed to make your mind and heart stick to one person ( atleast till when you're committed to them ) . It would get so emotionally draining to feel confused about loving either of them at once .

Maybe take some time off for yourself to figure what you want, making a list of pros and cons and exploring your feelings then spending time with them and noticing who makes you more happy and safe to be in a relationship and who will be good for you.

Maybe some of these could provide you a little insight and suggestions that you're looking for in order to gain more clarity .

@peachWest7611 Have you considered an open relationship or polyamory? This would allow you to pursue a romantic connection with more than one person. If you want to stay monogamous, you could still have a close friendship with the other person. On the other hand, if you find yourself having sort of a "the grass is always greener" type of pattern, maybe you should work through being present with and accepting the person or people you who eventually decide to be with. Hope that helps.
