What does friendship mean to you?
Friendship is a close, interpersonal relationship with mutual trust, understanding, and support. Someone who shares common interests and values. We don't always have to share the same interests or values. I enjoy friendships that can accept me as I am based on my personality and beliefs.
What are the characteristics of a good friend?
Good question. Respectful, trustworthy, supportive, fun, reliable, nonjudgmental, empathetic, honest, someone who can be a positive influence.
Who do you consider close to you in terms of friendship and why?
My best friend, let's call her M. M has been by my side through all my turmoil since day one when we connected. She is smart, wise, supportive, hilarious, helpful, compassionate, and genuinely cares for you.
What are some words of gratitude you’d like to say to your good friend?
I'm grateful for our friendship and the growth we've had together. I'm grateful for the support we've been able to share with each other. I'm grateful for who they are as a person.

Good relationships are a positive example of human interactions!
Friendship means to stand alongside someone who is walking the same way as you and to link arms. Friendship can be to lift someone up when they fall and or are hurt. Friendship can mean the world to you or it can alternately poke little holes in your heart.
Good friends put themself aside and care for the friends who are struggling. They are the ones who see past the barriers and faces that people put on. They let you tell them to stop but they don’t let you go the wrong way.
This is harder since there’s a ton of people that I see and talk to irl but not when we’re not together. There’s a good few people that I would say know me and are close to me but they aren’t the closest.
I’d just like to say thank you to my peeps who haven’t let me push them away and who have stayed. :)

Friendship is one of two close and meaningfull relationships one can have.

A good friend is someone who cares about you.

I have had several close friends over the years but nothing lasts forever. Now I have basically no friends no close one at least.

💡What does friendship mean to you?...Being there; being "Loyal" and supportive. Having Someone you can laugh, share, & connect with. Being there for one another through everything. And having each other's "backs"!
💡What are the characteristics of a good friend?.....For me personally, pretty much what I stated above.
💡Who do you consider close to you in terms of friendship and why?....I consider myself to be more of a "quality over quantity" type person. Although I have many acquaintances, my "true" circle has always been smaller. I have a few good friends that have in time moved away or live elsewhere, but we still connect. But my "Closest friendship" is without a doubt, my husband!
💡What are some words of gratitude you’d like to say to your good friend?.....That I'm thankful and grateful that they all came into my life during the times when I truly needed them. And continue to be thankful and grateful for their friendship and all that they've brought to my life.

Friendship should be built on trust, loyalty, understanding and support. I used to have a best friend, that we've known each other for at least 12 years, I had to break off our friendship because she broke our trust. I also found out much later she had taken advantage of our friendship as an excuse for her parents when we were in high school. I felt betrayed. Then, when we were both in the workforce, she had canceled our meet up last minute more than 10 times. We lived in different towns, but we would always arrange to meet at midpoint. I would've already arrived, then, she'd send me a text saying she couldn't make it suddenly. Come to think of it, I think our meeting was canceled because it's the same excuse she used in high school.
It's been nearly 10 years since I broke off our friendship. If we were still friends today. I'd probably thank her for treating me like a good friend, for the understanding and support we've given each other all these decades together.

Sorry for the negative experience, it happens that relationships change, due to multiple factors. It seems that you value friendship itself, for that I wish you to meet people that can become good friends.

I'm doing okay. I was reading some religious books over the summer, they were quite interesting. I haven't really done much in the present to continue exploring in this path, I had been quite busy with work and trying to make progress in having a backup plan for a career change next year.
Friendships are so difficult to make now. Especially when I'm not exactly the social type, it's just work and home. I hope to have at least one person I could call a friend too.

Somewhat of a side note: It is good, helpful, or works better when your potential friend would choose you also... but still, you can grow on each other. <3 Platy
