Introducing the Profile Flag Guide! Everything You Need to Know When Flagging!

EXCITING NEWS, TEAM!
I have been working on putting together a comprehensive guide on the how-to's of profile flagging, and it is now complete!
This should help answer many recurring questions and clear up confusion in terms of what is and is not allowed. I will be adding to this list as community needs evolve, but for now, check it out! If I am missing anything, or if there are grey areas you would like me to address, please let me know!

Thank you for clearing up any confusion when flagging profiles :)
I don't agree with some of this. Why should pictures of celebrities be allowed? Also it's a federal crime in the USA to try to impersonate a doctor and by putting it in one's username, it does feel as if the person is trying to pretend to be a doctor. Some of the full names are obvious when they state their first name in their bio as well....what else would the last name be?
@Dawn04 The profile flag guide states that one should flag Usernames with doctor or counselor or other medical profession. So it seems at least one of your questions is answered by the guide itself in that we are instructed to flag those with doctor etc in their title.
I see this was updated after your original post but that at the time you posted it must not have been changed yet to disallow the use of doctor or other medical titles in listener names. My bad for seeing the thread late after the guide was already ammended.
@PenguinPower31
Yes, it must have been amended after. It was stating it was okay before and I wanted to point out that it really isn't okay.
Thank-you Heather, that makes it much easier!
But I have to admit I still don't like seeing a username of 'doctor' or 'counsellor' or 'nurse' ' therapist'etc. It is usually pretty obvious too from the rest of the profile that they are claiming to be a professional? Surely this should at least be on a case by case basis? Flag and let it be reviewed?
@MistyMagic
Thanks for the feedback, Misty! I'm going to convene with the other CMs to discuss, but for now, I added a little note to clarify that we'll review any that are PMed/flagged.
@Heather225
This has since been updated to be a no-no! So sorry about that!
@Heather225
thanks Heather
I don't like this either.
I've just seen a really weird one—someone has a therapist profile claiming she's a psychiatrist in the USA working with adolescents and teenagers, but with a UK flag and US social worker credentials (LCSW). As I can't flag it, I'll send you the link, @Heather225 .

@Heather225
Thank you, informative!
@Heather225
Thanks for this guide heather! I am a bit confused regarding medical professions.
The what to flag section says to flag if their bio mentions a medical profession, but the grey area section says it's okay if their bio mentions a medical profession. Can you please confirm?
@MonBon
this was adjusted :)
@EvelyneRose
Thank you!
@Heather225
Aha! It appears as if this has been updated a bit. This is great news. Many thanks!!
