That eyeburn orange actually startled me, that's how overdramatic it is.
I mean
Everyone already knows that button is there, turning it into the color of a warning label isn't going to make people more likely to give you money. That's just my two cents.

And I agree. It is a real eyesore. It hurts my eyes!

so i thought this had been resolved, but i refreshed my member page today and

might i suggest a middle-ground, temporary solution of using the rightmost orange from the "we urgently need listeners to take conversations right now" bar that shows up along the bottom? it is much less offensive.
the colour in the following image is #f7a229 (which isn't a nice, round color but).
even something as dark as #f6992e would be an improvement and still have the effect you're looking for (still pretty offensive, though):
