We have all loved experimenting and posting in our feed since it launched! 
I have noticed that many members have been hesitant to join in & follow each other and fellow listeners. The feed is intended to be a place of sharing, connection building and encouragement. I follow many people whom I have never chatted with & for those of you who are comfortable with that, I want to invite you to join the..... drum roll please..........
Follow a Member Marathon!
What is the follow a member marathon?
A 1 week event in which we encourage members & listeners to follow each other! Specifically, if you look at your follow list and you see that you primarily follow listeners, go find 26 members to follow!
26 miles in a marathon & 26 members in the follow a member marathon!
How do you find people to follow?

- Reposts on your feed

If you participate, please share the names of the 26 members you have followed in this thread! When you post write -
"i am honored to now be following....and tag their names"
Once completed, you will earn the "Marathon Badge!"
Anyone, who goes above and beyond the marathon challenge (by listing 26 or more new ppl they are following), will be eligible to earn 1 cheer for every extra person they follow!

Yay! Follow a member marathon! :)
To me, it sounds like some sort of grab. The only way I'm going to connect to people is not in this way. It feels wrong, and if I'm ruining your fun, so be it.
I can understand your side. Luckily, its not a mandatory project!
There are times where getting a follower right now feels a bit fake, when I have never interacted with them in any way that I recall.
Maybe they are interested in my posts or in supporting me though, I guess time will tell!
Very valid point @AffyAvo. Im just gonna keep on keepin on as I do with my feed.
@AvyAffo - i think we're also all still kicking the tires so there probably are some folks just trying things out, etc.
remember you can remove anyone from your follower list if you want!
I don't mind having the extra followers, I was just agreeing with NorthDUKEStar, from the opposite side.
Originally, I was following anyone who followed me, but due to this challenge I backed off. I'm trying to have my feed be the most useful to me and personally that isn't by following as many people as possible. Not saying that's wrong for others though.
I do think it would be a bit interesting to have a public feed, where we can see the most recent posts by everyone, as well as our individual feed. Someone may come across posts they find inspiring that they wouldn't otherwise see.
glad to hear it-- i think your approach is exactly right: tune your feed to be useful to you.
in a broad sense we favor connections, and we'd really like to welcome and embrace people who don't have any connections yet, but beyond that it's definitely not a pure "more is better" kind of deal as I see it.
we don't have a single aggregated public feed yet but we could do so. One thing is that we are relying on some social dynamics to aid in moderation, such as the idea that you post to your own feed and have to live with it. And if you spam your own feed nobody has to follow you. A public feed would have to be moderated much more carefully, although I am open to suggestion on this.
We are experimenting with a form of that with the hashtags, where again they are public and so accountability is somewhat less direct...
I don't think that ruins anyone's fun, @NorthDUKEStar - it's definitely a personal decision who you want to follow and how you want to decide who to follow.
We do want to encourage people to make connections and we like the idea of members being welcomed and "adopted" and not being left out of the activity, though, so I hope this idea doesn't ruin your fun if other people do it... :D

I am really confused. I click on a members name but there is no option to follow etc? I am on mobile so perhaps not everything comes up?
Yes, @nechelon3112 - the follow links and connect cards are not in the mobile apps yet.
as a workaround if you can log in to 7 cups via a browser on your device you can access full profiles and cards there.
