Important Update: Help Desk Requests May Ask You to Verify Your Email

Hi everyone,

We want to share an upcoming update to our support system so you know what to expect when contacting 7 Cups through our Help Center.

To better protect users and reduce spam, Zendesk, the platform we use for help desk support and issue reporting, is introducing a new email verification step for some support requests.

What this means for you

If you submit a request through our Help Center without being signed in, you may receive an email asking you to verify your email address before your support ticket becomes active.

This does not mean you need to create an account or log in. In most cases, you will just need to click the verification link sent to your email.

Why this change is happening

This update is being rolled out to help reduce spam and abuse, protect legitimate users, and make sure real support requests reach our team more reliably.

What you should do

If you contact us through the Help Center, please keep an eye on your inbox for an email with the subject: Please verify your email address

If you see it, click the link in that email to confirm your request.

You may also want to check your spam, junk, or promotions folder just in case.

This rollout began in March 2026 and may affect accounts at different times depending on Zendesk’s rollout schedule.

We know changes like this can feel inconvenient, but the goal is to keep support safer, more reliable, and easier for real users to access.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

The 7 Cups Community Team

@SoulfullyAButterfly Hello Soul- I take it that it needs to be @7cups.com email or would it be the personal email you need to give as method of contact?

@JasGab200519970 you will use your personal information and the help desk just sends it to the support team. You can visit the Help Center linked in the post and click "Submit a Ticket" in case you would like to explore how it looks

@SoulfullyAButterfly

It would be nice if we were prompted to verify our email when we submit the ticket.

I see these in my email, but it's difficult to know in hindsight if they are legitimate. I'm trying to recall my day and the tickets I put in.

@AffyAvo thank you for this suggestion. Unfortunately, this is a Zendesk situation that we cannot alter on our end, hence this announcement.

@SoulfullyAButterfly There actually is one! I realized when I put in another one.

It just takes a little bit to show up, I've usually already left the page by that point.
