Thank you so much Glen! I think you are absolutely correct in saying that we need to differentiate between "real" talks about sex and "sexualized" talks. You are right on point about 7 Cups needing to be a place for some people to discuss sex without feeling the shame or taboo that their culture might place on it. I have talked with many guests and members regarding their personal sexual issues and each one was very appreciative of having a safe place to turn to ask questions or to talk about sexual things that they wouldn't normally be allowed to do because it was forbidden or unlawful in their homeland. On behalf of these people, I will say 'Thanks'.

It is indeed quite upsetting when someone use the comfort zone we offer to such twisted requests, it's so sad and I feel quite bad for these people, but at the same time no one wants to harm those who really need someone to speak to and have real issues. The best solution is to scold those who misuse the site and make them understand what they did is wrong so it won't be repeated and then block them out.

Personally, frequently have chats where members/guests want to send nudes or mutual masturbation or meet up for sex. It doesn't bother me, but I try to emphasize to them that I want to see their desires satisfied effectively, and that can be better accomplished by them finding a person in the flesh or pleasing themselves rather than just being dependent on some anonymous person. Most people will tend to agree with me when I emphasize this to them, I don't want them to feel that they have done something bad by feeling that way, but if after I emphasize that their needs would be better met not from me. Only rarely do I block or report members or guests and only if they repeatedly fail to actually talk about their desires in a way with me where they don't involve me.

I try very hard to support those who are coming to me for support, but three or four times it seems that male visitors have attempted to take advantage of the site; typically they graphically describe sexual acts, and a few asked me how i masturbate. This behavior has appeared among listeners as well. I was in crisis a few days ago and two listeners in a row attempted to flirt with me. When i told the next listener i had about this, he scolded me and called me a "frigid b*****" for reporting the offenders >

@EglantineRose95 - thanks for reporting them and sorry you were subjected to that!

at least your report will prevent them from attempting to victimize others.

@EglantineRose95 this is so bang on, i have had listeners come to flirt as if on a dating site . They just think its ok to do so and when i told one that it was really late and i was going to bed he retorted......... YOU NEED TO GO SEE A DOCTOR........ i was shocked, to say the least, that we have such kind of listeners !!! I have reported several such listeners earlier but this time i was just too pooped and sleepy so just let it pass.......

I strongly feel 7 Cups should take such behavior very very seriously !!!

I post on my about me that I do not involve in anything sexual, or sexual abuse because it is a trigger for me. I have had a few jokes played on me, but once I did have a real case. I just decided to avoid them because of my own personal reasons. This is great information. I'm glad it was addressed :>

I'm glad that we are addressing these kind of problems. I have been chatting with lot of people with sexual problems, hard to know whether it's genuine or not. I'd like to help them but the fact that the internet is full of anonymous people makes the real help-seekers harder to reach.

I feel like 7cups should do a LOT more to keep repeat offenders from coming in here with new accounts. when you hit block/report it just bans that one account, in a minute they can make another and come right back. This has happened to me at least once.

@naturalButterfly35 I had me block someone and came back on another name and flaunted that they could do that. Banned and asked that address be blocked too. Blocking does not always work but repeat offenders should be banned.

Discussing about sex is considered taboo in many parts of thw world. The parents or school dosent give any sort of sex education for many. So I think its a great opportunity for us to help them out, clear their doubt and fear. But yeah its true that we cannot really say if they are faking or not. Thinking positively I feel its always best to help.

@tallKiwi5945 It is absolutely normal, and okay, but if YOU feel as though you should, you can always go to a doctor. But ONLY if it is because YOU want to.

@tallKiwi5945 That can be normal. I had the same thing when things were going bad with my relationship at the time and we decided to break up. It came back after months, I'm sure yours will come back too :)

@tallKiwi5945 That's absolutely normal and I have experienced that I asked my doctor and he said that it's totally normal and I should embrace it.wink

@paro01

Why do you feel you need to stop?

User Profile: Calebcc
Calebcc February 2nd, 2016

@paro01 thing I did for weeks, put paper in your pants and it's a reminder lot to do it and you always feel it. It's average healthiness is to masturbate every 11 days

@paro01

Hi, not sure if you're male or female (it's probably also contributing to your sex drive, and how you can stop -since that's what you wanted or want.). I don't know the whole situation. I don't know why you want to stop.

Maybe ask yourself "Why do I want to stop?" And also to be aware about facts related to masturbation ---not myths, facts; like health-wise, psychologically, and so on.

What are you interested in? What do you like to do or want to learn how to do but just don't have the time for it? What CAN you do during your spare time?

I know we shouldn't be giving advice and so on. I'm sure you know that you voiced out what sounds like your plan/choice and possibly your decision. I'm sure you know that it's your decision either way.

Reason of why(maybe?) + Keeping your body busy + Keeping your mind busy

If "will power" isn't available for that equation. It starts with some resolve, right? You came on here asking for some suggestion or help, so that's some resolve or determination in what you wish to accomplish.

It's an addiction. I think I heard people say that they just try to replace it with some other addiction -a better kind (by standards that you want to quit this habit means something), a more productive kind.

Like any addiction, it can't be over with in a snap or overnight or even months. Things are always different for everyone. Don't be too hard on yourself if you fail and slip up at times. If you slipped up today, continue where you left off tomorrow with more resolve.

Sorry to repeat this even if it may already be deafening by now: it's normal, and even science proves that there are some pros to it for your health; such as relieving stress, and other things I fail to remember at the moment with a headache.

Best of luck~ Hope this helped somewhat.
