Taking Care of Each Other - Preventing Burnout at 7 Cups
Hi everyone! This is a forum post linked to the path 'Preventing Burnout at 7 Cups'
What have you done today/recently to prevent burnout in a fellow community user?
This can look like:
• Encouraging self-care
• Reminding someone of the importance of boundaries
• Covering for someone so they can take a self-care break
Supporting a fellow listener friend through showing appreciation for their service but also reminding them that it is okay to take a self-care break sometimes!
@Hope
During quality mentoring a lisener, we had a discussion about setting boundaries and when to say no
Encouraging self-care and self-kindness/ grace. Also highlighting the importance of boundaries with both themselves and others.
Recently, I listened to a member share their experiences with burnout. I gave them space to express their feelings without judgment, validated their concerns and encouraged them to take time for self-care and set healthy boundaries to protect their well-being. I also shared resources they could use and reminded them that their well-being comes first.

Today take a day off of responsabilities and take care of myself like meditating, doing sports and relaxing.
@Hope
I encouraged just a day of focusing on self and talking to a fellow listener
@Hope Encouraging self care
@Hope Encouraging someone to step out from a toxic friend group.
@Hope
I find self-care to be essential. It's not just "go for a walk" or "take a bath", it's true care for yourself. I try to share my self-care rituals, and help others create their own based on the activities that soothe them.
