November 2023 Ambassador Update!

I am pleased to present the latest developments from our hard-working Ambassadors!

AnnaSilverberg - New Listeners and helping out with A.E team
Hay everyone!✨

This month is my first month as an Ambassador. I have to say that I consider myself truly lucky to be able to take part in this amazing community, providing support everywhere I can.

I do enjoy this wonderful new experience and I will do my absolute best to support this community, shining a light on all the amazing information that is available here at Cups.
I have been working on a post that will be informative listeners, new and existing ones.
I’ve also been settling in this new role and I believe I’m adjusting very well.

My work in the Anonymous Evaluations team has been absolutely amazing and I am glad that I’m able to work with the amazing team members that are there.
The safety of our members and listeners is something I’ve been compassionate about for a very long time and I’m glad to be able to take part in that.

Rebekah - SPOT and Safety Patrol

Hello! I hope everyone is doing okay. We are hard at work with SPOT, reorganizing the team and eradicating the grading branch (I know, sad beans). However, we plan on strengthening the Outreach Branch and creating a brand new one -- the Discussions Branch! This is still in the works and we need time to plan everything and put it all together, but rest assured that we’re getting to our goals! If you’re interested in joining SPOT, please apply here.

Tommy - Communities

​​Hi everyone! It has been another busy month for the forums with lots of new leaders and some changes. We have worked tirelessly to simplify our forum moderation process to ensure it is fit for purpose and have now rolled it out to all forum leaders alongside a reminder of the leadership guidelines. This has meant there is much more consistency across the domain with moderation and notification of post modifications which you will have hopefully already noticed. Please continue to email us on forum@7cups.com if you have any questions or concerns regarding post edits or removals.

We have also introduced a centralized place for community users to contact forum leaders. This form can be used to share feedback, suggestions and to request a review of old or outdated content. This should help us eliminate any old or outdated content to minimize confusion and to maintain consistency across the forums.

In engagement news, we celebrated Halloween! We are very much looking forward to other celebrations/events in the future (click here to join our forum events taglist). If you’d like to further support us, particularly by helping post discussions and events, then please consider joining our forum leader team or our communities leadership team.

DreamTouch - Academy Ambassador: Leadership Development Program.
Hi everyone! October has been a great month for LDP. Firstly, a warm welcome to @AnonymousFF07, our newest addition to the mentor team. We're excited to have you on board! On the trainee front, we had 4 new graduates on our Leadership Development Program - @LOOPHOLE, @Lovemymoonflowers, @bestBraveheart57, @Grace3012. Big congratulations to all of you!

This month we have been focussing on scaling trainee outreaches, kudos to @Comphi and @positivePumpkin22 for their diligent work on this.Our program has been running smoothly on the daily tasks - thanks to the LDP team. We’ve been able to process/complete all tasks within 3-6 days of submissions.

I’ve been actively involved in onboarding new trainees, scheduling emails to them, badging as well as sending certificates to the graduates and overseeing the overall management of the program. We look forward to welcoming more trainees in the program and to witness their growth as future leaders! If you’re interested, please apply from here 

hopedreamlove- Listener Chatrooms

Hello hello hello! I hope you are all doing well. In October, we onboarded two new Listener Chatroom Supporters: @Averyjr23 and @Fuechsin. We are very happy to have them on our team! If you are interested in becoming a Listener Chatroom Supporter (LCS), click here for more info. 

The LCS  Team has been working in collaboration with the Listener Discussions & Outreach Teams to help ensure that all listener chatroom supporters join either the discussions or outreach team. We are hopeful that with this initiative, we will see more discussions taking place, and more listeners joining our chatrooms. 

In October, we sent out the latest quarterly chatroom mentor/teen star newsletter. We are always looking for more chatroom mentors/teen stars. If you are interested, we would love to have you join the team! Click here for more info. We are also looking for project agents. If you are already a chatroom mentor/teen star and would like to become a chatroom mentor leader in the future, the role of project agent is the first step in doing so. Jenna - Peer Support and Active Listening 1
We have a small update to share with you. In October, we welcomed @MistyMagic to focus on the teen side of the Peer Support project. This was an exciting change for the project and we believe it will greatly benefit the teen side. We were able to onboard 6 new peer supporters in the same month. Also, a new Peer Support quiz has been developed to ensure that we maintain our quality in supporting our listeners.

For Active Listening 1, things have been going well. The team has done an amazing job keeping up with grading and providing feedback when needed. We received a total of 64 test submissions, with 48 passing!

For listeners who may be interested in the Peer Support program, we would love to have you join the team!

We also encourage listeners to work toward advancing their listening skills and growing toward quality. You can start doing that by taking the first Active Listening Test under the training courses.

Chevy81 - Listener Coaching Team

Greetings, community! I hope this November has been treating you kindly.

In October, our listener coaches took 49 coaching requests. We’re hoping to receive more requests this month and in the months ahead. If you ever feel like you would benefit from connecting with a listener coach, please submit your request using this form. We’d love to suport our fellow listeners throughout their listening journey.

For those who have connected with a listener coach, we appreciate and truly admire your enthusiasm to learn, grow, and keep improving. Please join us in applauding these enthusiastic learners in this post.

Early last month, @DisLifeNot completed their trial month and officially became our newest listener coach! It's so good to have you on the team, Dis. Please go here to congratulate them and send your best wishes.

And let's appreciate our listener coaches by cheering them on for their continuing support here on this post.

We still need your help to spread the word about the team so that more listeners are aware of the benefits of connecting with a listener coach. The team also has monthly AMAs which are consistently hosted by @SirenofSerenity (thank you, Siren 🌸) Please keep an eye out for notifications to know when the next AMAs will be scheduled. We hope to see you there and answer any questions you may have.

MelodyoftheOcean and LittleBirdie30 - Care Team

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! ❤

Care Team has been busy during the last month, so it makes me happy to share, that the leadership team has been growing! Congratulations to @LittleBirdie30 on becoming Ambassador, and working on the team with me, as well as @Shadow , who is doing an amazing job as Team Lead, I couldn’t imagine the team without the both of you anymore.
We have recently been reviewing our guidelines, implementing new ideas, so we hope to see the team growing and learning. 

We have been completing 149 requests in October, so if you ever see someone around, who might benefit from a check in after a hard chat, or is simply new to the site and could appreciate someone who guides them around, feel free to file a request here

As more requests have been coming in, we are also always looking for new guides, to reach out to new and experienced listeners, and show care and support to their peers. If the project interests you at all, you can look for more information on it here. We’d love to have you on the team!

Suryansh - Group Support & Listener Chatrooms

Hello everyone! I hope October was well for all of you and November is treating you well. We have had some major updates in our team that we would like to share with you. 

In the Group Support Leadership, we have introduced a new Group Support Mentor role. We merged the Support Team Leader/Support Room Mentor and Group Support Quality Mentor roles into one, that is, Group Support Mentor now. Applicants can choose which responsibilities they would like to proceed with. We have already started getting applications and I strongly encourage all of you interested in Group setting to apply for it. 

I conducted the first AMA and GTKY with Group Support Ambassador event on 1st of November. We discussed a lot of important points and came up with so many ideas. We have noted all the points and are working to fulfill them. The schedule for December's event will be uploaded soon and we would love to have all of you there to share your views, your ideas and get your issues heard. 

The Sharing Circles team is performing great as always. The team is looking for more hosts so if you are someone interested in leading sessions, I strongly encourage you to apply for the team. On the leaders front, we have onboarded 11 new Room Supporters and 3 new Chatroom Moderators. We are so glad to have you all in the team and looking forward to seeing your great impact in Group Support rooms. 

Under Chatroom Leadership, we onboarded @MydogLiz8 and @Kyoshi as our new Chatroom Mentors. We are thrilled to have you both in the team and looking forward to your great performance in Listener Chatrooms. 

Under Chat Support, we onboarded @Kyoshi, @Chetan1408 and @heathermarie95 as our new Chat Supporters. We appreciate your support and are so happy to have you in the team. We look forward to your great support to listeners so they can continue to grow and learn in the community. We are also planning on introducing a new Scenarios’ Book for all our Chat Supporters, that will help them in handling situations in a much better way.

Clarisse- CDM Academy Mentor

Hello! I hope everything has been amazing on your end :) 

The Content Development and Marketing Program rolled out 3 graduates from the program this month. We have also been working on polishing our guides for both trainees and mentors. Our dedicated mentors have been doing a great job hosting CDM Help Desk sessions which serve to spread awareness about CDM and help currently enrolled trainees with information that they require. 

We are still on the lookout for more mentors to join our team so if you’re interested, do fill out this form! You will be guided through the entire process and put under a training period before you can finally start your role as a CDM mentor with us!

The Content Volunteer Team has also been running a few forum projects Prompt of The Week and What Happens Next? which I think you should check out! We have a plethora of similar activities in store for which we are looking forward to recruiting more helping hands! Harsvin - Active Listening Grading Team

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well ❤ October has been a great month for AL's Outreach team as we onboarded two new Projects Agents. @Lunaire00 will be focusing on adult side outreaches, while @Rui00 on the teen side. The outreach team did 283 outreaches in total for the month of October, which is amazing 👏  a huge shout of to our amazing PAs @HeatherMarie95 @Lunaire00 @Rui00 @TabbyCat97 and  @ SirenOfSerenity for working hard on spreading awareness of Active Listening Tests.

The team has graded 153 tests for the month of October, with a total count of 64 tests for AL 1, 35 tests for AL 2, 31 tests for AL 3, and 23 tests for AL 4. The passing rate was 83% for AL 1, 80% for AL 2, 90% for AL 3 and 96% for AL 4.  I would like to thank all our amazing Graders @positivePumpkin22 @SirenOfSerenity @Jenna @Tracey12345 @yourbuddy30 @Comphi @Amphios @TabbyCat97 @Raspberrycheesecake @SweetDreamer69 @heathermarie95 , @azuladragon34 and @tommy for their tireless hard work and dedication on grading tests timely, your contribution to our team is very much appreciated.
