Awesome, I love this homepage
okay, now time for you folksto design a coolvibes homepage :P
Nice effort, BUT:
A better tagline than Just need someone to talk to might simply be, We hear you.
The overall look is a little too busy and self-promotional. In keeping with our emphasis on mindfulness as an organization, maybe we should try to give the feeling to our visitors that they are entering a quiet, welcoming room with little distraction.
Good point @Tschoo1 I suggest also that it be emphasized that we are volunteer listeners – Some people that I've chatted with think we are on the payroll. It is mentioned that we are volunteers in the About 7cups section, but its a bit buried there.
The titles Wall Street Journal, etc, add credibility but should be more discreetly presented, perhaps at the bottom?
Try self help made easy. Really? I love the impressive resources here at 7cups, but self help requires serious hard work and introspection. Never easy.
Listeners and Free Emotional Support dont need to be capitalized.

Why does it seem so female centric ? On a glance, because of the pictures, it seems catering only to the female kind which isn't fair, right ?

@justloveyoursmile this sure is female-centric to the point that men, like me, aren't given a fair consideration when seeking assistance (from an apparently large base of female listeners). There's way too many of them who I feel are anti-male and assume that men are "typical". It doesn't surprise me that this site is more focused on women.
Oh, I'm sure now that 7cups will make some changes now but it's too late. I already know how you feel about is. And me!
@justloveyoursmile very good point every single picture is of a woman that just reinforces the sexist stigma that men opening up and sharing their feelings is a feminine thing to do why a lot of men dont do it and when they do they come here and see a lot of pictures all are women i think it would send a bad message there should be at least one man and it would be better 2 or 3 men in the pictures and maybe one picture of teens of 7cups is going to have pictures they have to be inclusive
@jennysunrise8 I agree. Now if we can fix the stigma that most women have about men on this site, it might become more fair and balanced. I really get tired of being abandoned.
@jennysunrise8 Why does there need to be a photoshopped photo at all? We all know how a man and a woman look like.
@StrivingSoul i think pictures of people doing different things getting hugs and holding a phone getting emotional help could be a good thing as long as thought is put into the pictures they couldve picked different pictures they couldnt find a stock image of different people on their phone in the last one different races and ages men and women? that wouldve been so much better
@jennysunrise8 Yeah well if we want to represent all cultures, genders, ages etc the homepage would be endless. It's a given that everybody is welcome.
@StrivingSoul it doesnt have to be endless if the pictures or just one of the pictures had more that one or 2 people in it but if a site is going to have pictures of people there should be variety to represent the people the site serves but if instead of these pictures every picture was of an asian man for example i dont think its a given that everyone who comes across that site would think that its inclusive

It looks awesome, it's concise, displays the information in a neat progressive manner, though... it has a very corporate feel... there's no real accent, no personality, whereas the current homepage definitely has that. I feel like a corporate feel with a handful of stock images is super cold.
One of the things that drew me in was the "cute" homepage, it's warming, and gives a true sense of "You're welcome here, we really do care. It will be okay".

I agree. While it may look more professional, it does look corporate-ish. It looks like a web magazine.
Is there a way to maybe cite all the achievements and accolades separately? It feels like were competing for something. They are all great, but maybe they can be put under a separate page.
