January 17: Ability to remove Noni updates & additional email settings preferences

Three settings updates to anounce!
1) As per your request, All users can now turn off Noni check-ins
2) Members can turn off their Tea cup reminders!
3) Members can update/ turn off their email preferences related to path steps

I have just tried to implement these changes in my settings regarding Noni and the growth path reminders, but when I went to my member settings page there was no option shown to "turn off Noni check-ins". Nor was there an option shown to control "growth path reminders".
I am really confused, because this problem seems to be only affecting my member account settings- I logged into my listener account and went to the settings page as well, and I was able to turn off Noni check ins, however there was no option to toggle growth path reminders there. I refreshed my browser pages multiple times and tried reloading the settings pages in both of my accounts- no luck!
I am still unable to toggle Noni check-ins on my member account settings, which is what I am chiefly concerned with. Please let me know if there is a solution to this problem.

@pluckykitten589 - can you submit a support request so we can figure out why you are not getting the settings you need.
I just checked the settings in my member test account and had both the Noni and Teacup options.

Nevermind- I figured out how to send a request and did that from my member account. Should I send one for my listener account too, or can you help me fix the issue affecting both of my accounts just from this one ticket?

So I just reloaded my settings in my member account (on my laptop), and I saw that the "Noni checkins" and "teacup reminders" options are both there now. So, for some reason, this aspect of my problem has been resolved. :) I unchecked both options in my member settings.
However, my listener account settings are still missing the "teacup reminder" option. The "Noni check ins" option is there, and i unchecked that, but both new options are not listed there.
Thank you for your patience and helping me with this, and if someone could help me fix the last bit of the problem, that would be appreciated!

@CallMeNaman2002 - new members get sent reminders to take steps on their growth path to "keep their cup full."
@Laura when I try to login my email it says dont recognize. I get reminders to come on, but it wont give me a way. I never got a password. What shoyld I do?
@funnyPlace4633 - We don't send you a password when you first sign up, but you can reset your password at any time (as long as you used a valid email when you signed up initially) by going to Password Recovery, entering your email address, and tapping the "Send Recovery Email" button.
Great update - this is a wonderful response to community requests and feedback, and I love to see updates that give people the option to decide for themselves what is most helpful!
I did this and I'm still getting messages from it -.- plus I can't delete the box itself which makes it even more annoying I got click it to make it a read message but it still will say I got a message from it can you please tell me how I can delete the whole box or if I can't can you make it so I can tired of seeing it every time I come on
Ditto. I unchecked receive messages from Noni on my Settings page.... How can I get rid of the message box at top right of my screen, and the green bar at the bottom of my screen that says I have one message?!?!!?!?!??!?!?! UGH this is so annoying!!!
@angelmommy15 - sorry it's so frustrating. we are adding these controls one piece at a time. the next priority is to let you "unpin" noni so wheb she has nothing to say to you she will no longer be up top.
As I commented below, you can get rid of the notice of one unread message by going into the chat with noni and clicking in the text area as if you were going to reply (this marks the message as "read" and not "new/unread" anymore), but then don't write a reply (so she doesn't talk back again), and go on to another chat.
If you try what I described above and it still shows one unread message, please let me know.
I did message it stop so it replied back okay or whatever it did so it still messages me so I still couldn't get rid of it @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn

nope it did not, noni just has to have the last word, must be female

Noni has not been an issue for about a month, I suspect that inactivity on my part was the final solution.

I did focus on the message with typing a message and I still have the notification, I tried typing and deleting a message, I tried typing stop. Nothing will stop Noni from having the last word.... waiting for the apocalypse with Noni in my pocket

the only setting I could find for Noni was notifications and it was turned off and stayed turned off. The issue was not Noni notifying me, it was having a constant reminder of the conversation with Noni. Noni always responded which meant a new message notification was always present. It has now stopped, not sure if the machine has been fixed or if there is a timed out solution that kicked in.
@ruffneckred - ok but if you now go to the noni chat and say nothing to her and then go to another chat, does it still show an unread message from her?

I don't know, never tried. I stay away from the Noni chat for fear it will recur.
Uh I think the update broke Noni
occasionally she'd start looping dialogue (just saying the same things repeatedly) like with journaling or matching me with a listener. But this morning, she opened up with the whole "Hi! I'm Noni" intro and won't stop reminding me that she's "still learning"
i pressed "lets chat" and she asked what was going on in my world and when I said hi she told me "she's still learning" and she will. Not. Stop.
