Now we're going to have to explain what "7 Cups" means to new users seeing as the "of Tea" part has gone. I don't like this change tbh and there's much bigger issues on this site that should've been sorted before. You've made more work for yourselves too seeing as you'll have to update all your social media and now all the people who have been referred will not be able to get the help they need.

all the old links will work. we will continue saying 7 Cups of Tea and 7 Cups in casual speech as we do today. the poem is the same. the metaphor is still there. it's just a shorter url and way of saying the name.

Or even 7 cups of rum...lol

empty cups? no more tea?
Note that the emails are not redirected, apparently. If you were used to emailing someone @7cups.com, the email will bounce as undeliverable. Use @7cups.com instead.

hmm, that's not expected! I've asked @devTeam to look into that.
7cups.com has been an interchangeable email domain with 7cups.com for some time now but maybe we reversed something we shouldn't have.
We'll get that fixed.
Three questions:
1: Why? (just a curiousity thing)
2: Will these always redirect?
3: Will the old redirects from old listener and member addresses also redirect?

1. shorter, easier (I believe -- it was already the plan when I got here)
2. yes, these are permanent redirects.
3. all redirects should continue working, and please let us know if any do not.
