Ghosting Survey: Share Your Experiences
Hi everyone,
Ghosting is a term that we sometimes use when a user sends a message and then does not respond. This can happen on either side: listeners and members can ghost, and listeners and members can be ghosted. If you’ve had any of these experiences, we’d like your input to help us minimize abandoned chats.

try my best but wish there way find listeners that will be patient and nice to people with disabilities like me !! Then will not have so much ghosting happen
@SoulfullyAButterfly
I have had plenty experiences as a listener being ghosted by members that send a personal request. I respond and days can go by with no answer, same with those that have been in the general queue. Usually, I do not let things like this get to my head, but as of late I have been matched with some very unkind people that have said some cruel things, then ghost me. I have also had this experience as a session host as well, people would put themselves in queue then vanish, then get upset because we moved a long with the queue, allowing others' to be heard and listened too.
Posting for a friend who is a listener, who wishes to remain anonymous:
Out of the 636 past individual chats, he's marked 158 as 'bumpy'. ~99 of the 'bumpy' chats were sudden disappearances. ~55 were chats where the member took more than two minutes to respond at times.
He doesn't record these to blame people. He records them so that if the member messages him in the future, he can know what to expect from them.
I was ghosted by my Ex recently
Almost everyone I knew
@bluelotus99 And yeah in 9 out of 10 chats the member will just disappear without saying anything, regardless of how long the chat had gone on.
And I don't judge you know because you never know what's going on on the other side of the screen. The member might be breaking down, crying, overthinking, falling asleep, having an argument irl, internet gone etc. Also aside from this, they might simply not know how to "end" a listeners conversation so they probably try to do their best not to make it awkward.
