Intentional Gratitude
Gratitude doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine or disregarding the hard stuff. It’s about educating your brain that nice things and hard things can exist at the same time and choosing where to put your attention.
It is most effective when we practice intentional gratitude because this type of gratitude actually rewires your brain! Intentional gratitude is neuroplasticity in action!
When you write down what you’re grateful for, be specific; here is an example:
“I am grateful for this meal” = “I am grateful for this meal and that I do not need to go hungry. Many people don’t get regular meals.”
Participation question:
What are you grateful for and why?
How does writing down what you’re specifically grateful for feel different to writing down a generic list?

Seeking Help
Mental stress can cause us not to be able to see the good things in life and lead to excessive rumination or worries, which can result in serious health problems. If you have serious, long-term problems with negative thinking and feeling depressed, see your doctor or talk to a therapist if they are related to any mental challenges.

What are you grateful for and why?
I am very grateful for the supportive people in my life however few they are. Ultimately it doesn’t matter how many supportive people you have as long as they’re supportive even if it’s just a few amount of people.
How does writing down what you’re specifically grateful for feel different to writing down a generic list?
A generic list can be a list of anything. That’s what generic is. But writing down what you’re specifically grateful for is writing about something particular like what you’re grateful for in this case.
I'm grateful for my sister's,
My parents,
Food.
My health,
And my cat ❤️
