my window bird feeder. I love to watch the birds come to eat while sitting having morning coffee
@WorkingitThrough2 yaaay! I go out every morning sit under my sons willow tree. Watch the sunrise and the birds fly past. I can see buzzards and herons and all the lil birds from the garden

That is great. I would love to be on my deck to watch the birds, but Max my dog barks at them and makes them fly away😂

@Fradiga do you let the grass grow wild or mow it?

It depends on the area. We sometimes have grazing animals, so of course we do not mow, except to create a passage there or to make the nearby lanes look tidy. In the middle of winter, when the insects are in the ground away from the cold, we can mow down what has not been grazed.
In front of the house, we mow from time to time, but leave oblong islands so the insects have somewhere to hide and some wild flower islands are left alone too. It creates a more interesting scenery from the house as well.
