I love hiking too, love to connect with nature, smell the fresh air and admire the beautiful plants. How about you, what do you like most about hiking and are you hiking alone or in a group?

I do it alone. I do grounding. Or with my dog but I try solo. I love the way the sun goes through the trees, the sound of the birds and creek. The way the flowers make the air smell. The peace my body feels when I do breathing on the rock in the creek is amazing. I forget that I have ptsd and anxiety for that time. 🐡✨️✨️✨️✨️

@amiablePeace77 I am just formally trained. You too, I'm sure have great voice for singing. I strongly believe that everyone can sing given the proper training.

It used to be when I could play music (I am a former harpist). Anything that went through my head was expressed through my fingers, either memorized pieces or improvisations. I played a big Celtic harp in jam sessions or a concert harp otherwise.
Nowadays, It's a long walk in the woods with a faithful dog. I whistle tunes that are still in my head

Yes, the price of a small new car if a concert harp (with pedals). Harp cannot be made through chain work like pianos. Strings need to be replaced (a few hundred dollars) every year or so, a technician comes also every year (or so) to readjust the mechanisms and you often need to have a large car or van in order to shlep it around. To this you add proper chair, case, music stand, hand cart.... but somehow, harpists often end up owning several harps ( had about 30 at some point because of the rental/music lesson business I had). We also need formal wear, plenty of sheet music (now on iPads, Thank God!), a carpet for outdoors engagements, maybe a small sound system, and generally a good business sense in order to make sure you are paid and not taken advantage of. My sons often were my roadies and that helped a lot. They were able to become roadies for other harpists as well, which was fun.

I don't have this at all. Nothing makes me feel strong or confident. When it comes to controlling my life I am just a dinghy in a hurricane.

In the truest form of that question I would answer nothing.
However, in a general sense as close as I could possibly be to feeling free and empowered is when people like @tinywhisper11 and others who continue to try and support me in times like this.
