Where do you think is the most worthwhile place to find meaning in life? Work, family, hobbies, religion, philosophy, helping others, all the small miracles, or something else entirely?

This is a very deep question. I think a little bit of everything.

I think to find the meaning of life you have to first look at the center of yourself. What is the most important aspect that pushes you forward. This could be any of things you listed or multiple.

Personally for me I think family and helping others for me. As family being found family, direct family, work family they all shape and help to push me forward in this life which forms my meaning for life. Helping others is what I truly love to do and what to continue to do so that I feel is my main goal to try to help as many people in any way.

Where and with whoever you are most happy, peaceful, or comfortable with. Even if that means being in a room or home by yourself.

@akunknown

I like that you mentioned "in a room or home by yourself." We can be happy and meaningful on our own!

For me it's family, and faith, where there's no shallowness, no pretence, where I can be freely myself, no masks, no filters and I'm loved as I am 🩵🤗

@amiablePeace77. I think all the things you listed. But peace comes from within

I fully agree with you that peace can only be nurtured inside.

43 !! (referencing The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) Or.... as my grandson would say: 6... 7!

ChatGPT: "There isn’t a single objective answer. In practice, it’s the meaning you construct—through relationships, experiences, and what you choose to value."

Some of us think they need a meaning in life. Others are still wondering what that concept is. The French rather talk about one's life making no sense or making sense, which has a connotation of direction. It is not a philosophical question but rather an assessment in that case.

So, subjectively, I have the same meaning of life as a sponge

Interesting points! I like "the meaning you construct"!

Btw sponges have great meaning; they absorb and release when full, almost like a mindful practise! 😊

I've found the most meaning here. I've got more than I can possibly achieve atm. I try to do what I can as time allows, but sharing my challenge helps. I've been told by many that are wiser than me "pain shared is pain lessoned".

Keep coming back. We have an amazing support group. Whatever you're feeling will pass in time. Simply put in the effort. You're worth it and it will pay off in time when you continue.

I like your positive way of looking at life and also think that we can learn from others who share their painful experiences.
