@soulsings
♡Bettering my sleep schedule
♡Including more nutrients in my diet
♡Spending more time in nature, on the grass or under the sun.
How about you?
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou sounds good to me.
I added steamed broccoli so still firm to my diet and carrots and those have helped me feel better.
@soulsings
Ooh yay for including healthy veggies in your diet.

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou haha! Sleep just had to be at the top of your list😂😂😂😂😂
@Tinywhisper11
Always!🤣😭🙈
@soulsings um.. Well healthy. um... I do morning stretches and gentle excercise with my carers. I'm not exactly healthy. I guess staying healthy for me, would be taking any and all advice from the doctors, to keep away becoming completely paralysed for as long as I can.
Yep! I just made your question a sad one, sorry!
@Tinywhisper11 I hear you that sounds good. I find stretching exercises help me so I understand how you could benefit from those with your carers. That is very inspiring. Hugs.
@soulsings ❤ 😁❤ hugs you back thanks soul ❤
It was going to be my point. Life is ironic and a majority of health issues are not caused by lifestyle decisions, lack of exercise and other self-discipline. We can all do the best we can with what we have. People on night shifts can't have a regular sleep schedule. Those who have no access to nearby food stores eat what they can.
Let's count our blessings if we can make those decisions
@Fradiga ❤❤ I count my blessings everyday ❤❤ even in poor health. We are all very lucky in different ways ❤ ❤gives you a big hug ❤❤
And a tight hug back !
Min 6hrs of night sleep and a min of 10 hrs gap between the last meal and the first meal of the next day.
Consistent physical activity or workouts.
More importantly, not to overthink about anything. Besides adopting a healthy lifestyle, excessive anxiety and stress can equally contribute to deteriorating health. I've dealt with some serious chronic health issues, and it exacerbated the situation.
@soulsings
- What are up to 3 commitments you made to stay as healthy as possible?
working out for at least 25 minutes x 4 days a week, reading for at least 30 minutes x day, and having at least 3 meals x day.
- Take walks!!! Great to clear your head, being outside improves your mood. It is the easiest low impact excercise! And it can also build motivational skills as during some periods, the cold and stuff can impact your motivation to go out but try to push through, get dressed for it and make the effort. It gives some satisfaction for sure 🚶
- Drink a lot of water. I have a cup on my desk where I work and relax. Everytime it is empty, I refill it, everytime I get up for something I check it and refill it. Whenever I do something, I drink from it. 💧
- Excercise, that's an obvious one. But especially when you have bad periods like holidays or a birthday. Focus on the fact that you can enjoy them, but push myself to compensate by completing a workout (risk: overdoing it or thinking you can eat all you want because you just compensate by working out, which is not helpful since gaining weight goes a lot quicker than losing it!) 🦾🍰
@Michelh1996 Sounds like good ideas - how are these working for you?
@soulsings Taking walks and drinking water are going great! Would definitely recommend for all the benefits of getting up and ready to do an activity (also related to self care), being outside and in nature. And with water, flushing out some bad stuff.
The excercise vs. eating is always a gray area I feel like, and sometimes it is hard to balance this. Like treating yourself a bit too much because you know you can work it off with sports, or then feeling like you have to hit your excercise goals or even outdo them in order to compensate a little bit, which results in fatigue or something like that.
@Michelh1996 I hear you. I try to have healthy no guilt treats and eat slowly.
@soulsings Same! It is so difficult. That is why it is good to look for support on here!
But the biggest challenge is usually one of those time where you have to make a decision within a moment, almost micro-level. Trying to make the sinsible call or do the right thing to some degree
@Michelh1996 I hear you I do not like quick decisions. I like to contemplate the consequences of all the options.
Routines help me to have to make fewer decisions on a micro scale so I can chart my long term goals.
Nice to meet you.
@soulsings That a great way to deal with that for sure. Routines and structure definitely helps setting up the outline for better situations and direction! Awesome that they help you a lot already.
But within them, the smaller parts you sometimes have to break them into, are the challenges we need to deal with I think.
Nice to meet you as well :)
Preparing more healthy home cooked meals
Evaluating whether or not a financial purchase is a need or want
Thinking less about situations that I dont like and thinking more about situations I enjoy and have more possibilities
@Espejo I love cooking healthy meals and cook enough to last for several meals.
What is your favorite meals to cook?
@soulsings hey there! I also love to meal prep and not having to worry about what to eat when I get home :) my fave meals to cook are veggie burgers & fries, tortellini pasta, & cooked asparagus! how about yours?
@soulsings. 3 commitments I made to stay healthy are:
1 losing 100 pounds so far
2. Not letting needing a walker keep me from walking. Averaging 1.5 miles
3. Creating new friendships.
