I meditate and exercise regularly and make time to watch fun videos in the evening. To keep my blood pressure in a healthy range I do 3 times per day special exercises for blood pressure, go at least twice a week for a walk and eat healthy.

I meditate a lot - or try to.  I go to my happy place, focus on my happy place, have a picture of it in front of me.... just anything I can do to be calm and de-stress.  I also get out and walk.  I do have elevated blood pressure - not super high, but it's something my doctor and I are keeping a close eye on.

Definitely need to exercise more though.

@soulsings

How do you cope with stress to stay healthy?

How I cope with stress to stay healthy is being able to exercise, being with my dog who helps me calm down. I would also try to not stress eat.

If you do have challenges with your blood pressure, how are you managing it?

I currently do not have any challenges with my blood pressure. How I don't have to worry about how to manage it.

Deep breaths, knowing there is an end to that tunnel, maybe make tea, take walks if there is time, see a doctor if it is chronic. Watch out for reactivity which can make things worse. If you can, stay in control.

It really depends if the stress in punctual or spread out, and to what extent. Sometimes stress is exciting too, like a roller coaster ride at a fair (thank you, no. I did it once and it was once too many).

My blood pressure is generally rather low. In fact, I sometimes get dizzy and have fainted too in the past.

@soulsings

Had to use it yesterday. The molar that had bothered me for months was actually split in two vertically, so the dentist extracted both pieces with a ton of local anesthesia. I think I was a good patient because - wow - the root was so deep and I kept my thumb up to show I was still OK. I am glad I had split pea soup for dinner last night and pain killers when the anesthetics wore off. Talk about punctual stress... In a few weeks, I'll get a crown, and that will be financial stress 😀 if my insurance does not cover it.

@Fradiga oh no you braved the pain. A very courageous act. Hope it is not a financial burden.

@soulsings a couple months ago I started using an app called Finch, and another called Voidpets. The goal setting system with rewards and affirmations help me stay on track I guess with things like self care, compassion and self work.

I use a gratitude journal usually daily and try exercise and eat well daily.

I also try hydrate, do slow exercises like stretching and strengthening and meditate twice daily.

Something fun every day, something creative is nice. Maybe playing guitar, weaving or a mini adventure.

I have different cards like self care tarot, animal spirit, hidden language of colour, indigenous wisdom, angel, affirmation and everyday spirituality to connect and reflect on the bigger picture.

Lots of YouTube videos too like by Tara Brach and Byron Katie.

And sometimes meetings on 'In The Rooms'.

Literature like "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", "Mastering the Game of Wealth" and "Courage to Change" are usually in regular study rotation.

Byron Katie has a live or replay session three times a week, unless she's doing a 'school for the work' thing, so sometimes I'll check that out.

Hmm. Writing, sometimes.

Decorating for health, sometimes also (decluttering toxic or unneeded products or items, adding things to dampen noise or increase wellbeing).

I make lists sometimes. To do and to don't.

There's been so much more than that too.

@soulsings honestly, my pulse is going bonkers when I'm having a hard time, but a lot of sleep and some breathing exercises can help me a lot
